The fastest 4-stroke 125cc out there.
Review of Honda CBR125R by  maddycatty2k

Advantages: Nimble, light, ideal for short riders, reliable, excellent miles per gallon
Disadvantages: Tall riders look ridiculous and find the riding positions uncomfortable.

...Greetings! I have been a proud owner of the CBR125R since 2005. In this time I have learnt a lot about riding as well as the bike I am writing this review about. There are many people who bash the CBR125R due to it being 4-stroke and not 2-stroke. There are also those who think the bike should be treated like a supersports bike when it is, in fact, not. The first thing people notice is the bike is very thin from the back and front. This can either be a good or bad thing. The reason why it can be bad is because it doesn't "look" cool, but that is really the only bad thing. The good thing, however, is that it makes filtering and control so much better. You can fit into tight spaces that a big bulky full faired supersports cannot. The second thing that most people notice is the size of the bike. It is small! Not as small as the Kawa... Read review

Suzuki GS125 - Learner legal fun !
Review of Suzuki GS125 ES by  lostsworld

Advantages: Small, light, cheap, cheap to run, comfortable
Disadvantages: low powered and parts may be harder to get

...This will be an ongoing review as I have just passed my CBT and bought one of these little commuters. The longer I own it the more I will add. ~ CBT ~ For those who don't know, anyone wishing to ride a moped or motorcycle has to sit a CBT to ride on the road. It stands for Compulsory Basic Training, if you don't pass it will be because they think you are not fit/safe to ride on road. There are two types of bikes you can ride, a moped or a motorcycle, Majority of people learn on a bike up to the engine size of 125cc but if you are over 21 you could do it on a larger machine. After completing my training on a Yamaha SR 125 I picked up my little Suzuki GS125 and drove it 180 miles back to my house (so this is where most of my review will come from). ~ The bike ~ At first glance it's nothing special... Best 125cc Motorcycle
Review of Honda CG-125 by  HondaCG125

Advantages: Loads
Disadvantages: Less than all other 125cc Motorcycles

...I have a Honda CG125, 2005 year, owned from new I could tell you how good the bike is, like nearly every review of the bike. But I do not wish to bore you with another identical review saying exactly the same. I was amazed to find no websites that support the Honda CG125, so I have created one. http://hondacg125.awardspace.com/ If you like my website, please rate this review as high as possible, since it's the best way for people to find my website using the search engines (else website will be hard to find). I could write a very large review of the bike, since I am an experienced rider, I past my test over 10 years ago and have had several bikes, I have also done over 10,000 miles on the bike, including many trips between 150 and 250 miles in a day. I have also been reading everything I can about the Honda CG125... Read review

New '04/'05 CG125 is a great improvement
Review of Honda CG-125 by  stave84

Advantages: Cheap, 90+mpg, light, easy to ride
Disadvantages: It isnt going to drop jaws!

...Ive seen all the other reviews for the CG125 and everybody says the same things, most of which are true, but ive been riding my new '04 reg GC125 (with the new electric start/disk brake/new looks) and it's much much better. I learned on the old CG125 and it vibrates like crazy, and the mirrors are simply useless at anything over 30, but with the new CG125 things have changed. I find it very comfortable to ride, the vibrations have gone, and the mirrors dont vibrate so you can actually see what's behind you (something you dont get on most big bikes!). Now for the important bits. The bike is certainly not lacking power in the lower gears. It accelerates really quickly, and whatever other people say, it will cruise at 60mph without a 2nd thought. The problem comes trying to get from ~63 up to anything faster. Honda rate the bike... Read review

Fastest 125cc on the road
Review of Aprilia RS125R by  adsl247

Advantages: fastest on road 125cc in the world , very good looking, value for money.
Disadvantages: 2 stroke oil, have to go down to 1st gear every time you want to stop but you get used to it.

...I bought my RS125 from new as soon as I saw it, I didn't know 125's could look so nice and so full of body until I came across this one! Looking at the bike you'd be forgiven for thinking it's a 250cc, with it's thick rear tyre and large racing build. I just had to have a 125cc for obvious reasons ie. couldn't be bothered going in for my test at the time. So I was decided the RS was obviously the bike for me, as it's the fastest road bike in it's class and I just love speed. So, the day came when I could go to the showroom to pick the bike up, I was both excited and nervous because I had only been on a small 125 for a few hours two years previously and had been riding a lawn mower type 50cc scooter (with no clutch!) before hand. Anyway, I finally got used to the clutch which had been thrown in for good measure after stalling... Read review

TDR125 - the fun bike
Review of Yamaha TDR125 by  tomsmith500

Advantages: lots of fun to ride, great handling, funky looks
Disadvantages: slow, requires lots of modifications to get the best performance (but it's worth it!)

...I'll be honest here, I bought this bike on its looks alone. I saw it in the dealers and it made me smile. There's just no other bike that has the TDR's looks! The TDR shares many components with Yamaha's other 2 stroke 125's: the DT dirtbike and the TZR race replica. The engine and gearing are exactly the same as the DT - a watercooled 2 stroke with crankcase reed valve induction. The TDR accelerates quickly like a dirt bike but doesn't have a very high top end. The frame is the super stiff steel deltabox variety and this combined with the suspension and wheels makes for great handling. The frame is so stiff it could easily handle an engine kicking out 2 or 3 times the power of the TDR's. The seat is high up off the ground, again similar to the DT. The wheels sizes are 18" front and 17" rear. If you are under 5"7 you might want... Read review

Owning a Yamaha TZR 125
Review of Yamaha - TZR 125 by  tzrexpert

Advantages: A quick reliable bike, can be ridded on L-Plates
Disadvantages: A bit unrefined at lows revs (two stroke misfire)

...I use my '89 Yam TZR 125 every day as a means of getting to work. It has done 35,000 miles, 7000 of which have been done by myself. It is fully de-restricted (servo power valve connected) and can top 100mph on a good day It has needed very little work apart from a new clutch, chain and sprockets (General Wear and Tear). They are easy to maintain and while yamaha genuine parts are quite pricey, you are guaranteed good quality and robustness when you buy them, in my opinion you HAVE to use the genuine parts, don't trust pattern products as they are always of lesser quality. It is in the same class as a Cagiva Mito, Aprilia RS125, Honda NSR125R and a Suzuki RG125. It out performs the latter japanese bikes but lags behind the italian models. However the italian bikes suffer from reliability problems, parts availability troubles... Read review

Bloody Awesome! The RS125.
Review of Aprilia RS125R by  carluk9

Advantages: Bloody Awesome! Cheap TP only insuance.
Disadvantages: High Mantainance. 2-stroke.

...Got my RS125 back in June 2006 not too long ago. Opened the garage door and thought... WOW. its a big bigger than my speedfight lol. For the average 17 year old its a big bike; and a load of fun; its leaner legal for us starters! One thing that did dissapoint me a bit though would be the fact that it is still a 2-stoke engine; and not being a fan of extremely loud screaming noises it bummed me of a bit. When i got it out onto the road it was amazin so fast goin from a 50cc; i could keep up with the traffic and everythin. One thing i gotta warn anyone goin from a scoot to a sports bike tho is do ur stretches b4 ridin lol. i pulled over in a few bus stop and sat there and screamed! kept pullin my muscle in my left leg for the first fortnight becuase of the position of the controls on sports bikes. but once ur used to it its amazin. my... Debating about E Trading
Review of E*Trade by  NcNyc

Advantages: easy to use, informative, real-time quotes, quick executions, after-hours trade
Disadvantages: there are none

...I have read some excellent OPINIONS of E-TRADE written by experienced traders. I would like to thank them one and all. My OPINION is one of a NEW E-TRADER. I find E-TRADE very easy to use. Type in a company name, get their stock symbol and voila! You will find quotes, daily ranges, charts, profiles, news, 52 wk. highs and lows, etc.---everything you need to begin. Although, I do not rely solely on the information E-TRADE offers. I also use AOL stock info and any other applicable sites when researching a particular stock. I find AOL'S s research reports and news to be more informative than E-TRADE's in general. I could not live without E-TRADE'S free real-time quotes. As a new investor that 20 minute delay just drives me up a wall. E-TRADE does not update your portfolio in real-time however. You can use the real-time quotes... Read review

GP125 - Great first bike
Review of Suzuki GP125 Motorbike by  jargonwd

Advantages: Cheap, economical, lots of fun
Disadvantages: Dodgy electrics & prone to rust

...The GP125 is a small 125cc 2-stroke, single cylinder road bike which was made by Suzuki during the late 70s through the late 80s and puts out around 12bhp. It’s pretty basic mechanically speaking, consisting of a kick-start only motor with a single piston and shabby 6 volt electrics. My GP is great. Admittedly through rose-tinted specs as it’s my first bike, but for what it is – a hack, I doubt I could have bought better at the time. It’s definitely given me some problems; partly down to my own daftness and lack of mechanical know-how, and partly down to its own quirks and foibles, of which it has its fair share. The fact that it was made in 1988 no doubt has something to do with it. All the trouble in the world, though, is worth the grin it puts on my face. I bought it in February 2002 for £450 – I winced a little at the price... Read review
