...over curry in 3 minutes! There are 5 power settings - High (100%), Medium High (80%), Medium (60%), Defrost- Medium Low (40%), Low (20%). It also has a number of defrost settings (which depend on the type of food being defrosted) which require a0 weight setting to determine defrost time. There is an Autocook setting and an Auto Roast setting that works in the same way. The convection oven has a power output 1350W, and has a temperature range of 100-250 C, with a special setting of 40 C for fermenting. It's deafault setting is 180 C and takes about three minutes to come to cooking temperatre. When using the convection oven it may be necessary to lower standard cooking times (or cooking temperature) to take into account that it acts as a fan assisted oven (not as a standard radiation oven). ...was not the first machine to develop this little problem. All went well for just under a year and then the same problem developed. Again we took the machine into be repaired but we could not justify the cost, considering how much the machine had originally cost. They struck is a deal on a trade in after admitting that it was quite a common problem to this model. So we upgraded and have been happy ever since. I would be very weary of buying this machine, however later versions may be ok if they have remedied the boiler problem. Advantages: Great Bass, Very Compact, only £100

...Alpine have always held a high position of regard for in car entertainment since I first installed a complete 1250w sound system back in 1990. I own a Peugeot 206cc and have installed an Alpine DVD head unit and although more than impressed with the standard speakers (which I hope to upgrade at some stage with a set of JBL's) when the roof is down it hard for any standard set of speakers to provide the bass required. There is also a severe limitation to available space, I had seen an installation wich would have completely filled my boot but I was after a more practical solution. Enter the Alpine SWD 1600's, although only 6.5" this 150w active sub on paper at least met my requirements.
