Dyson DC14 a powerful sucker!

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.
Disadvantages: No cord auto cord rewind.

The one I am reviewing is the DC14 for carpeted floors, though there are the DC14 animal and all floors versions. Dyson claim that it never loses suction, and I have to say (at present) is completely true. The Features: Root Cyclone Technology. ...I bought the Dyson, as I wanted a vacuum cleaner, which was capable of coping with cat hair removal and also had a high filtration level for asthma sufferers. Each DC-14 is colour coded to the special facilities it offers. I have the steel gray and purple version, which has the Hepa filter, extra pet hair mini turbine head, adjustable brush for carpets and tiles plus the standard tools. The standard model is yellow and gray, and does not have the adjustable brush. It is suitable only for carpets, not for tiles. GOOD POINTS For standard use, it is very effective on carpets, and it is shocking at first on how much dirt has been picked up. It does perform much better than my old vacuum cleaner.   TIME TO DITCH THAT OLD 14" PORTABLE TV

Advantages: Small footprint, Crisp and true colours, Multifunction (TV and PC monitor)

However, two major gripes I had with it was lack of teletext (a must for me!) and also the screen was curved so much that viewing it from an angle in bed was a pain in the neck (literally!). Dyson DC14 Allergy

Advantages: Powerful, doesn't lose suction and a wide range of optional extras
Disadvantages: I can't get on with the angled crevice tool

...I started out with the original Dyson DC01 but I was always convinced mine wasn't as powerful as my mums and didn't remove dog hair very well. After buying a new carpet I bought the DC14 Allergy at a special offer price a couple of weeks ago and I wouldn't be without it now. It almost takes the carpet up with it!! And it loves dog hair. It really does make vaccuuming easy. When using the pipe, it almost takes off but I guess you need to actually be holding it to believe it. The only thing I can't get on with is the angled crevice tool. I much preferred the straight one on my original Dyson. You can also buy a mini turbine head to attatch to the pipe (which I will invest in) which makes cleaning stairs even easier. The pipe is long enough to reach to the top of the stairs in one go. All in all, a fantastic cleaner....

Daewoo TV and video combo

Advantages: Easy to use,lots of good features, also has a child-lock.

It has a good picture and is definately cheaper than buying a video and tv seperately if you are just after a good practical little TV and video. I bought it for £180 on offer, so it was an excellent purchase. Features: *It has a one year guarrantee so in the event of failure all repair work will be carried by your retailer. *One thing which I find very useful with this TV is that it has a childlock so they can't record over your favourite TV programmme which you specially recorded and will never be on again, and they can't muck up any settings you took your time to programmme in. *It also has a timer which you can set if you want to record at the same time every week which is very useful if you are penchant to forgetting to watch a program...
