Dyson DC14 a powerful sucker!

Advantages: Bagless, powerful, 5 year warranty, great suction.
Disadvantages: No cord auto cord rewind.

Dyson DC14 Allergy

Advantages: Powerful, doesn't lose suction and a wide range of optional extras
Disadvantages: I can't get on with the angled crevice tool

...I started out with the original Dyson DC01 but I was always convinced mine wasn't as powerful as my mums and didn't remove dog hair very well. After buying a new carpet I bought the DC14 Allergy at a special offer price a couple of weeks ago and I wouldn't be without it now. It almost takes the carpet up with it!! And it loves dog hair. It really does make vaccuuming easy. When using the pipe, it almost takes off but I guess you need to actually be holding it to believe it. The only thing I can't get on with is the angled crevice tool. I much preferred the straight one on my original Dyson. You can also buy a mini turbine head to attatch to the pipe (which I will invest in) which makes cleaning stairs even easier. The pipe is long enough to reach to the top of the stairs in one go. All in all, a fantastic cleaner....

Dyson DC14 Animal - A Good Buy

Advantages: Power, Specific for Dog hair and Allergies, mini turbine
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, Long reach tool topples vaccumm at reach

...I have owned a DC 14 Animal with Hepa filter for 3 years now and bought it for around £300. I have had very little to complain about. We have a west highland white terrier and a small child so wanted to purchse the animal because of its specific performace on animal hair and the lifetime Hepa+ filter for allergies. This product does exactly what it says on the tin, powerfull and no loss of suction. In fact it still amazes me today to see how much dirt and dog hair the vaccum collects. This product has never broken and has been used three times a week over the last 3 years. It is a fairly quiet machine but has become more noisy over time. The product comes with a 14 stair long reach telscopic pole and mini vaccum turbine head. This is an excellent tool for use on stairs as the mini turbine head has its own built in rollers and brushes...

Fun and funky Polo 1.4

...The Polo 1.4 was the first car that I ever bought myself so will always be quite special in a weird kind of way! I traded in my old battered Fiesta that my mum and dad had bought me and purchased a VW 1.4 Polo Match special edition for around £10000. The car came with quite a few extras for the money including manual air conditioning and an electric sunroof (very nifty gadget on such a small car!) I am not too sure why the car had both a sunroof and air conditioning though as you only really needed one or the other! It also came with metallic paint and I chose the Silver colour which was great as it hardly shows up any dirt at all and comes up very nicely when it's polished. I owned the 3 door version and you did have to be careful with the front doors as they are very big and heavy and can sometimes blow away in heavy wind...

VALUE ************************** The 1.4 retails at a fair price for what you get. I bought the car when it was almost 2 years old, and felt that the used price was competitive. For £6500, I managed to get the car from a Peugeot Dealership with full service history and 25 000 miles on the clock. This was comparable to the Renault Clio but I felt better value than the VW Polo. COSTS *************************** The 1.4 is cheap to run, offering a solid 43 mpg. 1.4 lx HDI

Advantages: great stying

...For the last week now I have been the proud owner of a 206 LX 1.4 HDi, and I have covered just under 1000 miles on a combination of motorways, country b-roads and town driving with between one and four bodies on board. My car is the new LX specification (which now includes front fog lights, rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlights), and I have added a rear spoiler. I can only say that this little car performs admirably, regardless of what you ask of it. The 1.4 common-rail turbodiesel engine has 68BHp and 115lb/ft of torque available at 2000rpm, so when you need to pull away from something you can do so easily. On paper, the 1.4 petrol is faster but in real-world driving the immediacy of the torque delivery on the HDi means that it feels quicker.
