Good Basic TV/DVD Player
Review of Venturer LCD 15 DVD-206 by
Lexica
Advantages: Great Value and Reasonable Picture
Disadvantages: Basic Sound.
...not sure why!). I managed to wall mount it using a standard kit in about 15 minutes and I love the fact that I don't have leads for a separate DVD player.
Overall this TV/DVD is great value for money. It cost me less than £170 from Tesco and for a 15" LCD TV with DVD player as a 2nd television I am pretty happy....

Save some space with this stylish 15" LCD TV!!
Review of Mikomi 15 LCD 250 by
yours_ilze
Advantages: Stylish, Light, Cheap, Good Size, Quality Sound & Vision
Disadvantages: Not suitable for use as a PC monitor
...I have not had a TV for last 4years! Can you believe this?
Last week I have finally decided to get one.
Since my bed-sit has not much of a space for a standrd size TV, I had to look for something that would fit onto my study table where I keep my laptop, CD player, phone and Homechoice Internet-Digital TV-Phone Box that requires a SCART socket in order to be compatible with TV... so....
I have decided that LCD is exactly what I need! I have looked at various web sites, including Tesco and Sainsburys and I have come across this Mikomi 15" LCD TV at Argos for just £149.99 which is current sale price!
I went to Argos couple of days ago and bought this LCD TV with my Argos store card that gives me 3months time to pay off the purchase! I also got £10 Argos gift voucher as I have spent over £100 :) So I guess not only I have found...

Toshiba 15" LCD TV with Freeview
Review of Toshiba 15V330D by
sagitaria
Advantages: Slimline, lightweight, reliable
Disadvantages: Remote control is slow to respond
...can push them against a wall and hey presto, a whole new area of worktop space.
So, despite my old analogue working perfectly, it was time to consign it to the pavement outside. I never need worry about it being collected by the bin men. It'll be long gone before then. We can guarantee one of the locals, who regularly scour the streets for unwanted electrical items, will rescue it. Before too long, it'll re-appear down at the local market where someone will make a small profit.
After a bit of research, I decided to go for the Toshiba 15" 4:3, LCD, Integrated Digital TV with Freeview. Pricewise, it seemed to be very competitive and its performance was highly rated.
I'm very loyal to Toshiba anyway, especially when it comes to televisions and DVD players. I've always found them to be a very trustworthy brand, with few, if any...

Cheap flat screen LCD TV better than dearer ones
Review of Digilogic D15LCD by
laveyri
Advantages: cheap, small, good enough picture and sound quality for us
Disadvantages: haven't really found any
...When the one of the channel switches on the little television in our kitchen became dodgy - and after all it was about 25 years old - we decided to look for a new one and ended up at our local big Tesco superstore because the prices were cheaper. We were drawn to a range of small LCD televisions and at the time we thought that the Digilogic 15 inch television had one of the best pictures in the lower end of the price range. I had never heard of Digilogic but I now know that it is Tesco's own brand name for a range of electrical goods. We spoke to one of the sales people who said you could not go on the picture quality in the shop in making your choice as people fiddle with the controls(!) and as we were a bit afraid of buying a brand that we knew nothing about we opted for a slightly more expensive Bush model of the same size.
I...

2 year ownership review - Samsung 15" LCD 4:3 TV
Review of Samsung LW-15N 13W by
alexpeck
Advantages: Very clear, sharp picture, excellent tuning system
Disadvantages: Remote control silver colour rubs off quickly on reverse
...Samsung is the worlds largest manufacturer of flat screen LCD panels. The quality they produce is extremely high, with a clear sharp picture and a very good brightness range. The screen can be viewed up to an angle of around 10 degrees (almost completely side on) before the 'black effect' takes place (when you look at a certain angle at an LCD screen it does appear black). The setup is simple and straightforward and the TV can be easily packed away for a move to another house.
The TV has 1 SCART, 1 PC Video (standard monitor plug), 1 S-VIDEO and the usual CO-AXIAL TV aerial connectors with plenty of space between them.
Channels can be renamed, rearranged and played with in any way possible! Manual tuning is simple. First set-up takes around 3 minutes, with a full automatic channel search and sort when you press the power button...

Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi - 15.4" TFT
Review of Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi - Turion 64 mobile technology MK-36 2 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
maggot13
Advantages: cheap, good quality laptop with decent features, upgradable.
Disadvantages: no bluetooth. memory will need upgrading if moving on to Windows Vista
...First off what an easy to use laptop full of built in features for a very reasonable price ( £349.99 upwards) was £380 when i purchased mine but is worth every penny. Why people pay in excess of £500 for machines with a lower spec is beyond me. Acer have come a long way in providing great quality laptops at a lower price.
on first run you follow the setup options and then it recommends you create a restore disc i did this using 2 blank dvd's with ease just following the on screen instructions. once this was complete i did the windows updates to get it fully upto date.
The inbuilt wireless adapter (Atheros AR5005G Wireless Network Adapter) connects so easy to my wireless network with a reasonable range even in the garden. The 15.4" WXGA wide CrystalBrite TFT LCD Display is just as good as its name suggests (crystal) it displays...

Venturing into the world of budget LCD televisions
Review of Bush LCD 26 TV 016 HD by
Mainflava
Advantages: Easy to tune; clear, high quality picture, good sound
Disadvantages: None that I can see so far
....
Screen size......
Having looked at a number of flat panel TVs with screen sizes ranging from 15 to 32 inches, I decided to upgrade my normal screen size from 15 inches to 26 inches in order to provide that home cinema feel in a relatively small room. While large screens were also appealing, a combination of a tight budget (see above) and a small room with which the set would be located, forced my hand into the sub 32 inch category.
Bush LCD 26 inch TV
Eventually, after much searching, I stumbled across the above televison on offer for a shade over £300 including delivery - well inside my projected budget. On receipt of the television, I was suprised at just how light it was; weighing in at less than 17 kg meant that should I need to wall mount the unit, I could get away with much cheaper brackets and, I could even contemplate the tilt...

A cool 32 inch Samsung LCD TV
Review of Samsung LE32R74BDX 32" HD Ready LCD TV by
ciaoauthor
Advantages: Fantastic picture quality, nice sound, ease of use and a good looking TV
Disadvantages: One HDMI
...If quality and style is what you are looking for then the Samsung LE32R74BDX 32" HD is the TV for you. This screen is one of the better looking on the market and looks great both on the side with the supplied stand or mounted on the wall (wall mount not supplied). The picture quality is phenomenal. The TV has DNIe (Digital Natural Image engine) which helps to 'step up' the inputted source. This means a great quality pictures even from my DVD player connected through one of the two scart sockets and from the built in freeview receiver. This negates the need to update a DVD player for one with a HDMI connection. The screen produces up to 12.8 billion colours and has a contrast ratio of 5000:1 giving great definition between light and dark. In fact the two main disadvantages with LCD TV's have been solved with this screen...

'MAXIM'um Pleasure or 'MAXIM'um Pain??
Review of Maxim 11-LCD15 by
darren1987
Advantages: Inexpensive, Can Use As A PC Monitor
Disadvantages: Poor Sound Quality, Poor Viewing Angles
...I have recently purchased this product, around two weeks or so from Currys so decided to write a review and give my honest opinion on the subject.
Previously I had a 42inch rear-projection TV but decided to get rid as it was too big for my bedroom. My intentions were to purchase a smaller television and hopefully have enough room for a reasonably sized desk to study at home. My plans didn’t go as expected and I found myself drinking the money away which I received for the rear-projection – Typical Student, I love to PARTAY!! Lol. So left with £125.00 in my back pocket I looked almost everywhere, online, supermarkets like Asda etc until I stumbled across what I thought was a bargain in Currys - A 15” Maxim 11 LCD television. So here’s the review and a thanks in advance to those reading.
What Is LCD??
Well for those who don...

Stylish, small LCD TV perfect for the bedroom!
Review of LG 15LA70 by
ben1503
Advantages: Stylish, Small and Slim
Disadvantages: Only 15" viewable screen
...I have recently bought one of these TV's as a replacement for my old bulky 14" portable TV we used for the bedroom.
Firstly the advantages of such LCD TV's are obviously the comparable size to the 14" portables. The LG RZ- 15LA 70 (athough only the same viewable screen size) is slim compact and also much more pleasing on the eye. At 15" the TV can also
be used quite easily with a PC as a monitor, however having not tried this I cannot comment on the response and resolution when used for gaming and also to me it would be a waste as comparable TFT monitors are available for a fraction of the price.
To save space I have the LG RZ- 15LA 70 wall mounted which was quite a simple job once I'd hidden all the wires in the wall supplying the aerial and power with the TV just managing to hide the plug sockets. The viewing angle once on the wall...
