Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec

Advantages: A great car from all angles
Disadvantages: Not as many extras included as I would have liked

...I am now the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs. I have spent many a time in cars that are too big, too small, not suitable, not comfortable etc but this is everything I could ask for. I own the three door version but the doors open widely and when the front seat is moved forward there is plenty of room to get anyone in the back, even my mother in law who is disabled. The back of this car is extremely spacious, comfortably fitting 3 large adults in. The boot size is deceiving in that it looks pretty small but is very spacious indeed. Perfect for all those shopping bags as well as a childs pushchair. The actual drive of this car is superb. Mine runs on unleaded and is very economical. I can get over 200 miles to £35...

Ford Focus 1.6 - Shocking!!

...Two years ago I decided to buy a brand new car, and after much research I decided upon the Ford Focus 1.6 (old style now). Everything I had read pointed towards a really good choice. So I went into my local Ford dealer and a week later I had my nice new car. First thoughts were a good looking car, well built, fantastically smooth to drive, held the roads amazingly well. All of the equipment worked wonderfully well and I absolutley loved my new car. Then the problems began.... After two weeks the Airbag Modulator failed, so I went back to the dealer, and they replaced the faulty part within a few days. They wouldn't let me have a courtesy cat so was left hanging around the dealers for a few hours. All work was under warranty so no cost to me. Three weeks after the Modulator fault I was washing the car and noticed tiny rust spots...

I was getting a lift home from uni for Easter and my mum felt compelled to go and have a look. Ipod Classic 16gb

Advantages: Sleek, Stylish, Great use of technology, Good sound
Disadvantages: Costly, Little hard drive space, dodgy touch screen

...drive space which is virtually non existent. Personally, I have a lot of music and videos that I would like to store on my Ipod but the small 16gb hard drive just cant handle the amount of music and video I want to put on it, unlike the ipod classic which can hold up to 160gb, 10 times as much as the touch. But if you want a flashy gadget that does have high level of technology and has a fairly long battery life, and are willing to compromise on hard drive space then this is the by far the MP3 player for you, however, if space is essential for you, then the Ipod classic is the ideal MP3 player that is also easy to use....

Focus 1.6 - A fun stylish serious car.

Advantages: Comfortable, spacious for passengers, driver and lugage. Nippy and stylish.
Disadvantages: Its not the ST170 and its not the RS.

...My 1.6 is one of the late early 2001 models and it is a pleasure to drive it was second hand and had two previous owners, I'm not sure how they treated it but when I picked it up it was in pristine condition which to me says that it is a fairly hardwearing car. Its smooth lines and contours make for a slightly sporty look as well as the memories of the Rally focus in all its glory tearing up the WRC. It is a very smooth ride with fantastic handling so if you are a little heavy on the peddle it has the strength to compensate. Acceleration is good and you through the range of the 5 speed gear box, and at the other end of the scale the brakes are hot too mine only has discs on the front and Drums on the back but there is plenty there to slow down the 125 horses that kick out of the engine. ...The Ipod touch is without a doubt the best Mp3/Mp4 player that is on the market currently in my opinion as it has so many good qualities. These qualities include the beautiful touch screen which enables quick navigation, up to 2500 songs / 20 films and thousands of pictures, internet access, hundreds of games to choose from (some already installed on the ipod) and lots of icons to choose from (stock market checks, calendar etc) which just basically makes the whole experience of having an ipod touch that little bit better. The ipod touch (16GB) version is in my opinion the best value for money at roughly £220 as it holds a lot of data yet still doesn't break the bank. If you are thinking of buying a loved one a present I would recommend the ipod touch as it can be personalised and customised to that persons needs, apple store...
