...I purchased this to replace my 3rd Gen? 40gb iPod and boy what a difference. The screen on the new 160gb iPod is MUCH bigger than my old iPod and also the screen is in colour. The 160gb iPod's screen shows a lot more info than my old iPod such has Cover Flow (I will mention this later in the review) and album covers. The quality of the screen is absolutely amazing; it remains bright in direct sunlight and is ALWAYS very easy to read. The iPod 160gb also has the ability to play videos but I cannot comment on this feature as I have not used it yet. The excellent click wheel is still here as well; for people who are not familiar with this, the white circle on the front of the iPod has 4 functions on it, MENU (TO GO INTO MENUS, TRACK LISTS, VARIOUS OTHER FUNCTIONS) SKIP FORWARD, SKIP BACK, PLAY/PAUSE. ...Well like anyone out there when i first heard apple was releasing the ipod classic 160gb i was like wow that will fulfill the needs of us the customers buying into this type of market. Apple took this one a step further when producing the ipod classic to this amount of memory on something so small allows the users to fill their entire collection of music on their ipod and still have the space to upload a their best movies or tv shows which can be watched on the ipod classic. There are many new features to the iPod Classic. The sound quality is great and the video quality is just as good as a TV. With 160GB of memory you will never have to worry about running out of space ever again. The iPod its self is very durable. I have dropped my iPod lots of times and it still looks brand new. The screen is a bit like a small wide screen TV but its great for watching TV shows and movies. I wouldn't recommend that any one buys a second hand iPod, as they are quite often broken. ...I bought this in Argos for £220 a good bargain I have to say. I have only had this iPod for a few weeks but I have found it very useful it's an iPod classic but it has been redesigned and re-released please do not ask me what they exactly they have changed this is my first one. But if I were to guess it would be the size of memory at 160 GB it is more than enough for all my music, pictures, videos and movies. Or if you do not need that much you could get the 80GB version Not only is this a great little screen but if you really want you can purchase a TV cable so you can connect it up to the TV since its160GB you can put movies on their easily and the picture quality is quite good. The battery life is up to 7 hours of videos. On the down side iTunes can be expensive for example a TV show can cost £1.99. I'm not here to tell you... Read review

When you used to have the 2 GB iPod Nano you was always worrying about how much space you had left but now everything is going to change. The iPod Classic is very durable and is practically unbreakable. The battery life on the iPod Classic is excellent. You can listen to music for up to 40 hours and you can watch videos for up to 7 hours. The memory is the best thing with the iPod Classic. You can hold up to 40,000 songs or 200 hours of video. ...My experience with this player has been nothing short of staggering, to the point that i only have one downside with the player to date...firstly on to the positives, the sound quality through a decent set of earphones (i use shure e2s) and even through the supplied buds is excellent providing you upload good quality files onto the ipod... The ease of use is your standard apple affair, the clickwheel is present again making it simple to jog through artists, albums and songs..design is also standard apple, the 160gb version being slightly larger than 80gb but still thin enough to pocket nicely at a good weight...one of the greatest feature but also downside is the battery, this thing runs for around 42 hours straight for me in my tests and thats a hell of a lot of music and around 8 hours video thats with the volume around 60... ...that is used is much more useful because it doesn't scratch as easily as the silly mirror finish of the last one. I like the new menus too. They have cut it in half and it displays all your album artwork on one side and shows the menu on the other. The games are great as well. There's one favorite of mine, the Quiz, it has all sorts of questions like general Music trivia, Movie trivia and Television trivia, It also lets you answer questions about the music you have on your ipod. The new capacity of the Ipod is just amazing. 160gb!? This size allows me to use the Ipod as an Ipod + an external hard drive for my Macbook. I can't comment on the earphones that come with the Ipod because I don't like them. I switched to ear bud headphones a long time ago and I can't go back to the Apple style headphones.
