Compact Compaq CRT 17" Monitor

Advantages: Well designed, good quality case and screen

...I received a Compaq 7500 monitor with my old Compaq PC about 3 years ago in 2002. INFO The 7500 is a 17" CRT screen made by Compaq but made in China. I don't think Compaq sell these any more but I have seen them on EBAY for about £35 and as little as £16. DETAILS AND DESIGN The monitor is all black in design with a silver frame surrounding the screen and the controls. Well really it's not silver but more like a brushed aluminium effect. This is a standard 17" Compaq monitor with I think a 16" viewable area. It's shape and design are far better than a lot of newer monitors on the market today. The main back section of the monitor is not that big so you can easily fit the monitor on to the smaller sized office desks you get for home PC's. ...for a Macintosh, that is not to be sniffed at. Admittedly the Emac is the ugly duckling of the Mac range, an all-in-one affair that saves space on a tower, but ultimately makes the monitor unit both unsightly and extremely heavy. The single unit houses all the components (accessible from the bottom should you wish to tinker) and a 17" flatscreen CRT display. Nestled beneath the sickeningly good display, are two adequate stereo speakers, and in between can be found the CD-RW / DVD-R drive. You can of course upgrade the drive to become DVD-RW (Superdrive which burns DVDs at x8) too, and I'm already regretting my decision to save in that area. Not all cosmetic brands produce liquid eyeliner; for instance, I don't think Maybelline or Boots Natural Collection offer one in their ranges. I experiment with different brands of make-up occasionally to make sure I'm not missing out on bargain prices or better quality items. If I recall correctly, I bought the 17 Liquid Eyeliner as part of a money-saving offer (3 for 2 on 17 cosmetics). It is usually priced at £3.91 for a tube. 17 Blusher.... Not bad, and CHEAP

Advantages: Very nice price, matches my skin, lasts a while
Disadvantages: Hard to remove if you over-apply, crumbles when dropped.

...'t do very well if you drop it. It's okay when it's relatively new, but once you're down to half a pack it's apt to crumble if you drop it by accident. Once it's crumbled it's very loose and can fly all over the place, which is a pain when it's trodden into pale carpet. It also makes application more difficult, as you have to dab VERY gently at the crumbs or you get far too much. I wouldn't use this with many of the other 17 products. This is the only 17 product I use, otherwise it's Rimmel and Urban Decay, but on its own with better quality make-up this blusher can hold it's own. Pretty good... I keep buying it....
