UMC X216/17A - 1080p in 21.6 inches!

Advantages: Crisp image, Pretty good audio, Lots of inputs, Great freeview.

...I bought this UMC television for £170 and I'm very happy with it. It's sleek black finish and hidden cables puts it in pride of place on my desk. Picture Quality: I'd done a bit of research beforehand and found that 1080p is usually found on 24 inch and upwards televisions. This means that there is a very high number of pixels per inch in this television and consequentially, pictures look very crisp. It's not really a high-end television so for example there is a little bit of 'backlight bleed' when the screen is completely black, but you don't really notice it. Whites look especially nice on this television. I am doubling it up as a computer monitor and it's very pleasing to the eyes when word processing and the like. laptop sleeve - perfect for the MacBook

...This is a little pricey for what it is you might think but mine has been really worth the money. It's so handy if you want to keep your laptop in a rucksack or quickly take it somewhere, it really does prevent the scratches and spills without being at all bulky. I have a MacBook Pro 17" and it fits perfectly, be careful if you have a not so slim laptop as it may not fit. I also use it on my lap to prevent the MacBook from burning my legs and am using it this minute, I've tried using cushions in the past which doesn't really work! I really do think it is one of those 'must-have' purchases when you buy a laptop, especially one as pretty as the MacBook! Don't worry about the zip scratching either as it has a protective flap, they thought of everything!...

Superb 17 Inch Flat Screen

I choice the Belinea 10 17 10 TFT flat screen, resolution 1280 x 1024 with built in speakers, because it looked professional and was the most cost effective I could find. I have been using the display for 1 week now and cannot fault it. Although it is not until you see a traditional monitor that you appreciate the desk space being saved. Indeed my desk looks less cluttered with just as much 'work in progress' as before. Tip – Read the instructions that come with the panel. It does not come with software, which must be downloaded from the web site but at least that ensures the most recent versions. Bright 17inch Beauty

...The FP731 has been around for a little while now, and I have owned mine since October 2003. I bought it for over £250, and now it has dropped below this price and represents a good value for money 17 inch flat screen monitor. Benq have provided an excellent TFT monitor which is beautifully designed. The screen itself takes up most of the product, with a rim about 1 inch wide around the screen of matt silver. This makes the screen the focus, and not a huge amount of beige like on some other monitors. At the bottom of the screen are 6 discreet buttons. An on/off button, an auto adjust button (which basically refreshes and realigns the view) and 4 menu buttons for manually changing settings (though there is practically no need to use this at all).
