Nine inch nails by the numbers

Advantages: clever, some good tracks, good sound manipulation
Disadvantages: dull, to much arty crap, not enough good songs, go's on and on

...Having been a huge nine inch nails fan since the Pretty Hate Machine album in some ways i really feel like i have to like this album as it is a monumental acheivement but when it comes down to it, it's going to be one of those albums that i want to like but i'm never going to listen to. Basically this is because it's dull. For how long can Trent Reznor keep on producing this kind of 'nine inch nails by the numbers' music, it seems to have come down to some kind of formula on this album. It also occurs to me that this world of misery and self abuse that he would like to make out that he lives in is starting to wear a little thin by now. Inches from being a really strong album

Advantages: In places shows real rap metal skill

It is veminous in its aura and you can almost feel the anger dripping from the speakers. INCHES FROM THE MAINLINE (4:08) Title tracks often disappoint which is a shame because if you're going to name you're album after a track then it really should be a great stand out track. The vocals go back to mixing all three mediums within the song (rap, scream and singing) The music however is the star of this track. So big it can fill up whatever space its played in. For me Nine Inch Nails reached that peak with 1994's The Downward Spiral - although I loved The Fragile, With Teeth was undoubtedly a big disappointment and seemed to indicate a change in direction towards a more poppy sound. Biting Trent with My Teeth!

Advantages: Makes a good first album for new listeners to this style of music.
Disadvantages: Not their best album, but certainly good none the less .

40 inches of pure pleasure!!

Advantages: Superby picture quality. Crystal clear HD, plenty of inputs
Disadvantages: Pricey if you don't shop around

...of 2 scart sockets (on the back of the tv), 3 HDMI (2 on the back, 1 on the side), component sockets (for older video cameras, etc) and a VGA PC socket if you want to show off and run your PC on a 40 inch screen. The quality of this tv is immense, my inlaws have to 40V4000 and the 10 bit colour on the W series is a lot truer than the V. In simple terms, the natural colour of peoples faces on the W series is more authentic than the V. If you are lucky enough to have a HD box (Sky or V+, Blu Ray or one of the latest games consoles) then this tv really comes into its own. Initially I played the Xbox via the component cable which gave me nice crisp colours but as soon as I linked it up via a HDMI cable it just blows away anything I've seen before.
