...When I first got this album, after the strengths of Chasing Pavements, I decided to purchase this album. I like Amy Winehouse, but not looking good for her. Adele is different in the way she sings, you wouldn't think she was only 19. Her voice sounds Soulful/Jazz going to acoustic and pop. The lyrics are very poignant, in the way that it's way it's sung. LG 19LH2000 - Buy it if you see it cheap!

...I'm an individual who enjoys a good bit of music. Any genre will generally do if it's 'good' - by that I mean not some terrible cheesy pop song, but generally I'll stick to my indie/rock malarkey. So it's ideal then that the New Music Express has introduced their own TV station - NME TV... Operated by CSC Media Group, it replaced the music channel 'Minx' in November 2007 - which is odd as I believe Minx was more a pop music channel that indie. ...When I did some work on my kitchen a couple of years ago I decided to install a little LCD TV on a wall bracket so that I could rotate it to watch the TV in the kitchen or the dining area. It worked just fine and the little 15" LCD TV was OK. Well it was until I realised I could also watch the TV out in the conservatory and then, to be honest, the picture just wasn't big enough! I got to thinking that a 19" TV was what was needed and started looking around for something suitable that wouldn't actually break the bank. One day when wandering into TESCO I spotted a big pile of Technika 19" TVs on offer. The price tag said they were reduced from £179.99 to £149.99 and they just seemed too much of a bargain to pass them by. He wasn't bothered about the attached DVD player but it was a bonus to a TV that had everything. It came in at just under £250. The box contains the TV, a power supply, transformer, a user guide, a remote control (including batteries, which is always useful) and a lead for the aerial. You can tune the TV to analogue or Freeview, but the digital option is the default setting. ...Unit, Picture and Sound The unit itself is really smart and elegant. The buttons for basic controls like channel changing, volume adjustment, and basic menu control are hidden neatly on top of the set. There is also an attachable cable tidy loop. The picture quality is excellent. Its very sharp and clear. Sadly the sound quality is appalling. Imagine a TV programme where theres a TV turned on in the background. This is what this unit sounds like to me - the TV in the background. It hits me every time I walk in the room. The small speakers give a very flat tinny sound, Its just really irritating. LG have really let themselves down with this one. External speakers are a must. Im not sure yet how this would be done. Theres no indication in the manual of how best to attach external speakers. It does indicate that a VCR can be used...
