Ipod shuffle 1GB

Advantages: Easy to use with simple menus
Disadvantages: Perhaps not eneough storage for some

...I was brought one of these ipod shuffle, 1 gb for Christmas. Ｉhave previously owned an ipod nano and have to say that I much prefer the shuffle, I have found it much more easy to use and more easy to attach to my clothing whilst using it in the gym. The battery life lasts ages, at least 7 hours and can be charged up by a wide variety of methods so its very easy to do so whatever the circumstances. It holds approximately 240 songs which is adequate for my needs, and itunes makes it very easy to chop and change the tracks I want on there quickly by connecting to the computer by a usb cable. ...When I upgraded my mobile phone, with the upgrade I also got 2 free tickets to see pirates of the caribean (sorry can never spell that word!) and a free Ipod Shuffle. I thought this was great, I was getting the new phone I wanted with freebies, it was even better because I needed a new Ipod as my previous ones were forever breaking, but to tell the truth I didn't have much hope for the Ipod Shuffle either. At 1.62 inches long and weighing half an ounce this tiny ipod is the worlds smallest music player! Although it is so tiny it holds 1GB, which is about 240 songs, which is more than 120 that the old ipod shuffle could hold. The amount of songs that it can exactly hold depends on the size of the song you are uploading to it. If you are uploading bigger files then you will fit less on and vice versa. 1GB Memory Stick with Neck Lanyard

Advantages: Looks Pretty Good, LED Light displays when in use, Small in Size
Disadvantages: 1GB may not be enough for everyone, Easily Lost

...and the operating system automatically recognizes and installs it for you! Upon first connecting the device to a computer it takes around 30 seconds in my case for the memory stick to be displayed and open under 'My Computer'. It also worked on an Apple Mac laptop. The stick allegedly holds 1GB of data, but mine will store up to 975MB. Although 25MB short of what it has been advertised to store, this is a marked improvement from a typical hard drives' advertised capacity and what you can actually get. 975MB is still enough to hold a 700MB SD movie, 250ish songs or a bunch of pictures and documents. This memory stick has served me well the last half-year or so but I will be spending my money on a larger, at least 2GB memory stick in the near future as my portable media needs grow. ...Its nice. Its cheap! (I paid just £25-00 for mine on sale at Argos but even not on sale, still good value). And its an iPod, which does give excellent sound quality, and so far, I've had excellent build quality as well. Its been knocked, dropped, bumped and even sat on, but its still working and showing no signs of wear and tear. I've found battery life is very good, and easy to charge if you have the USB charger (I picked mine up from Ebay at £5-00). I went for the 1GB version, rather than the 512 mb simply because it does afford you more space for songs, but generally I'm not the sort of person who needs more than 200 songs in any one session!
