Amacom USB 2.0 Flash Key 8GB

Advantages: Stylish, robust, fast data transfer rate.
Disadvantages: More expensive than similar capacity keys

...I use the Amacom USB 2.0 Flash Key 8GB in my car on a permanent basis. I have a radio in the car, along with a CD Player, but I also have USB connectivity on my head unit, for which I use the Flash Key which holds most of the music I listen to. This works very well for portability reasons, as i can quickly and easily add/change the mp3 files I listen to in my car with a few simple clicks on my laptop, and with a brushed aluminium finish to the USB Flash Key itself this gives a durable finish. The Amacom USB 2.0 Flash Key 8GB obviously has a very healthy storage capacity. Working on the basis that the average mp3 file I store on it is roughly 5MB, this works out at 1,600 songs! SanDisk Cruzer Micro USB 2 Flash Drive 4GB

Advantages: High quality, good speed, encryption.
Disadvantages: U3 features limited to Windows

For the time, 32MB seemed a giant leep from the 1.44MB floppies, and indeed it was quite a leep at 30x capacity. At the current price of £25, there's been a 2000x increase in capacity in the last ten years. Now thats really quite impressive.Looking at the 4GB flash drive from todays point of view, as supposed to the 2007 view, its beginning to appear more and more ancient. USB 2 is becomming a thing of the past, as USB 3 picks up pace in the affordable marketplace, and there are already many high capacity drives out there. Kingston USB 2GB Flash Drive

Advantages: Speed of small transfers
Disadvantages: No ReadyBoost, feels cheap

...Hi today I will be reviewing a Kingston DataTravler 2GB USB Flash Drive. I bought this a few months ago after losing my other flash drive. It cost me 9.97 from PC World but I believe you can get them cheaper in other places. Speed For the data that I transfer to it i.e. pictures and some small visual basic programs it transfers them extremely quick compared to some cheap flash drives I have used in the past. Problems So far I have had no major problems other than in windows vista it is not capable of running ReadyBoost which a free flash drive I had a while ago could. Size The overall size of the flash drive is quiet good the USB connector slides in and out with a rather flimsy press and slide switch.
