...The iPod Touch 2nd Gen 8gb is an all round useful piece of equipment, from listening to music, to surfing the net, with useful apps, it makes a great gift. it also has built in speakers you do not need to carry the headphones if you dont want to. it also has a very reasonable price and is very compact so you can take it anywhere . the only disadvantages that i have seen is the sliding bars (e.g. brightness) are very hard to move and the battery doesnt last for very long. a good point about it is thawt the screen is virtualy impossible to scratch.The bottom line is the second-generation iPod Touch includes features that are light-years ahead of the competition, its design has improved, and its price has finally come down to earth....

...I have owned this since before Christmas 2008. The packaging was minimal and the design of the Apple Ipod touch 8Gb is breathtaking. Beautiful. The docking is identical to previous generations of Ipod so can be used with any of your previous connectivity and charging docking solutions. The great gui and human interface via the touch screen is innovative and market leading. However, finding your way about and updating via the Apple site takes a few moments to get your head around. Just take your time and enjoy the experience. There are speakers in the case so for occasional use you can listen without earphones. ...its hard to write a review of a product like the Ipod touch, because every one of you have read everything about it somewhere else. I have to say that Ipod touch is simply something I've fallen in love with and find myself addicted to. I saw it in the Apple store before Christmas and I said to myself that this would be my next purchase. After pestering my parents, I got it for Xmas and they bought one for my sister as well (she is not into electronics) - she loved it almost as much as me and I've never seen her use her old MP3 player anywhere near as much as this. It is quite like the Iphone with the touch screen and you can do that pinch and zoom thing as well which i really like. The memory of 8gb is sooo big that I can store all my pictures and music and films on it and still have enough room to browse the web - YES you can search...

I noticed that he kept borrowing my ipod nano and initially planned to get him one of his own but on the Apple website I saw the ipod touch and worked out that if I got him that then I could steal it and use it! Full experience review on the Apple Ipod Touch 8gb

Advantages: Good qaulity screen, Confortable and Easy to use
Disadvantages: Low memory, Pointless aplications, Could-be-better touch screen

...the touch up and running at a apple store but you can only download music and not videos or podcasts at the present moment. There are new features that come with the new Ipod touches such as email, stocks and maps. I have not downloaded these features as the cost around £20 for the people who brought the ipod the first mouths it comes out and don't believe they will make much of a difference to how I would use my ipod. However, if I get good feedback from this review I will consider buying them and add another review to the 8gb Ipod Touch. Overall, the 8gb ipod touch is a good portable music and movie player. I would give it 8/10 as its good but defiantly not perfect yet. However, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to listen to music or watch movies as you can't really be disappointed with it....

Advantages: Beautiful EASY TO USE touch screen, wifi, application support, nice build quality, good battery life
Disadvantages: lack of flash support, pricey, no built in speakers

...there is no support for flash, web browsing on the iPod touch is a very enjoyable experience and after a while you will find that you use your personal computers less and less for surfing the web and checking email. Another big advantage to the touch is the addition of apple firmware 2.0, which allows applications to be stored onto your device through the itunes store. Many of these are actually free, and prove that the iPod touch is far, FAR more then a simple music player. I recommend you buy one now...

8GB Ipod Touch

Advantages: Wii-fi support, touch screen display, ease of use

...One things for sure Ipods are getting more popular by the day as more features and different designs are being introduced to these almost everyday necessities. I purchased the 8gb version 3 months or so back and ive been really please with it. It stands out from the rest as it has a large screen for viewing videos and photo's, but not only that it has the built in touch sensitive display which is very easy to use and im sure very popular. It has also introduced the new wii-fi so that you can connect to a wireless connection whether it be from the comfort of your home or in a coffee shop etc. when you go to i-tunes ur music and files can be transferred to your ipod within seconds though videos take a bit longer. All in all id say this product is worth investing in if you have a spare £180....

Disadvantages: scratches easily space used for unknown reasons

...Since getting my Ipod touch for christmas i have been obsessed. I love how i can easily access the internet and download apllications almost anywhere where there is an available internet connection. The screen is clear and the sound is crisp although the speaker could do with being slightly louder. I had slight trouble in the first week of getting my ipod as it crashed and i ws unable to use it for a few days until i found out on the Apple website how to reset and restore it which resulted in all my songs and apps that were already on it being deleted. Thankfully it was a quick process to get them all back on again. One disadvange is a lot of memory is taken up under the section know as 'other' on itunes, in my case it is around 1Gb and i stil lhave no idea what it is using all that memory, i would not mind if the capacity was larger but...
