Advantages: space, steering, brakes Disadvantages: boot and not as cool to look at as new fiesta
...My girlfriend and me were given an 09 plate Corsa, when she wrote of her Ford KA (click my name for a review of KA). It was Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXi in Silver, it had optional extras like bigger alloys wheels and tinted windows, but it also had a built-in Dashboard screen which I don?t know if is an optional extra or a modification, anyway it was at Pioneer screen which had Sat-Nav, radio controls, phone sync, CD player and if it is an option I would most certainly recommend it.
The Corsa was very pleasant to drive, the steering is obviously PAS but it was extremely light, the brakes were excellent, the gearbox was surprisingly pleasant, and the driving position was fantastic. For a Super-Mini it really does feel like a big car, the driving position is slightly elevated and the dashboard is really quite large for a car of this size...
Advantages: Good range of feature. Cheap running costs. Disadvantages: Very common cars.
...This is the Second of the Corsa C Models we have owned. Our first car was a 2000 model 1.0 Club which served us well during the 2 years we owned it. The car was cheap to run, nice to drive, but was let down by the basic equipment Vauxhall gave us as Standard.
Why Another Corsa.
******************
In January and Feburary I had 2 different new shape Fiesta as hire cars and I did rate the drive and comfort of the cars very highly. They were similar to drive as the excellant all round Focus model. You did feel a lot of bumps in the road but in general it was a very good car. The first Fiesta was a 1300 Finesse which was as slow as they come. You didnot change into second gear until 50 mph....well it felt that way!. The car was way to slow. The next Fiesta was a 1400 LX and was quicker if you revved it hard. The reason that a 1400...
Advantages: Cheap, reliable little run around Disadvantages: Waiting for delivery
...I recently bought the 2002 model Vauxhall Corsa 1.2Sxi, I was attracted to it by the great look, only then did I find out what advantages it actually has.
It was priced at £8500, with the choice of 3 years intrest free credit.
When I was looking round the showroom I was looking at all differnt types of models like the diesel and the petrol 1.2club etc (6999), but none were a patch on the Sxi.
The difference being the interior and power to the engine:
The interior on a Club is very standard, everything is platic and cheap looking, it has a radio casette, and even a coloured plastic gearnob, however the Sxi hs a CD player, Twin airbag, central locking, alloy wheels, twin spoiler and fog lamps it also has a great sporty effect on the dashboard ( a metallic grey).
The car also has great security, the remote control...
Advantages: Small, reliable, easy to drive and safe Disadvantages: Fuel consumption slightly high
....
The alloy wheels do come with locking wheel nuts, usually purchased separately. This will save you around thirty pounds to keep your wheels safe.
ECONOMY
Economy is fair, although one thing that becomes apparent within the first week of ownership is the amount of fuel used. Even though it is only a 1.2 engine, it has sports injectors meaning that the engine is squirted with a little bit extra fuel to give a small kick in acceleration. To keep fuel consumption low, you have to drive the car well below the national speed limit. Certainly not one of the cars strong points. The Corsa 1.2 sxi is insurance group 3, so is fairly cheap to insure. Road tax is relatively cheap too due to low emissions, that's if road tax can be called cheap these days.
PERFORMANCE
0-60mph is hit in around 11 seconds with a top speed of around 106mph. Fair figures...

Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2i
...I currently own a 53 plate Silver Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXi, im going to try provide a short and sweet review on the car for any potential buyers.
Engine and Performance:
Whilst a 1.2 engine may put potential buyers off due to a lack of power, it should be noted that this potential 16v engine is one of the best in its class, boasting one of the best 0-60mph times of 11.6 seconds. The engine is superb through the gears, although it is revved a little hard at motorway speeds but not enough to be a problem.
9\10 - Excellent pokey engine for the size.
Equipment:
The SXI comes standard with a CD player with steering wheel controls, electric windows and mirrors, 15" alloy wheels and sports seats. It also has little touches like being lowered with white dials inside and a general more aggressive, sporty look to the car. The CD player...

Review of Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.2i
Advantages: Cheap to Run, Very stylish, Comfortable Disadvantages: None as of yet!!!
...I own a 2006 Vauxhall Corsa SXI+ model in black, and almost three years on i cannot fault it, the car is very modern looking and stylish, the part leather interior makes for a very comfortable ride, the seats are shaped for comfort!
The car is good for fuel consumption, i use the car every day for at least 50 miles due to working quite away from home and i probably put around £30 a week, which is amazing because in previous cars i have been using around £50 or more a week!
The car is excellent in acceleration, even though it is a 1.2 it is very nippy to say the least
Car has electric windows and mirrors, Cd player controls on the steering wheel
The boot is a good size, Button Central Locking and alarm, alloy wheels...
Tinted back windows make the car look very sleek, I am hoping to hold onto this car for a number of years...
Advantages: Great Looks, Low Tax, Cheap Insurance Disadvantages: Ride Hieght, Slight Roll On Cornering
...Having recently handed my little Saxo over to my little sister for her lessons and run around. Its time to look for a new car, So I came accross a really nice "Fiat Punto Active Sport 1.2i 8v". Read below to find my opinion of this car so far.......
Performance~
This car is awesome on petrol, Obviously depending on the way its driven its averagin about 48ish MPG. ALthough not as responsive as the saxo was and requires higher revs in lower gears to do this, Another slight downside is the ride height and suspension set up as the car feels very high, and also as if it is going to roll when taking corners at speed.
Exterior~
The Active Sport variant of the Punto is in one word "sexy", Its got curves, and straight lines in all the right place. Again a slight draw back is the gap between the top of the wheels and the botton...

Review of Fiat Punto 1.2 8v
Advantages: Fun, cheap to run and insure, stylish and safe. Disadvantages: Leaky sunroofs.
...This review is based on a 2004 Renault Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique.
After having an accident in my previous Clio (a 1.6 16v Dynamique) I set out looking for a new car, eventually I found myself (after much looking) the following car?
A 2004 Renault Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique in flame red, the colour I really wanted, my previous car had digital climate control and an electric sunroof so I purposefully found a car that also had these features.
Being the 2004 model it had the face lifted front end (MK2 PH3)
The car I found had the following specification:
Performance:
Engine - 1.2 16v 4cyl MPI (multipoint injection)
Power - 75bhp
Torque - 105Nm
0-60 - 12.6secs
Top Speed - 106mph
Gearbox - 5 speed manual
Interior:
Sports seats
Digital Climate Control
Electric Sunroof with sunblind
Electric windows (one touch...

Review of Renault Clio 1.2 16v
Advantages: Nippy, cheap to run, ideal first car! Disadvantages: Body can dent easily
...The model i am describing is shown in the title. I have a X reg 2000 manufactured model. It is light blue and does not have colour coded bumpers, unlike the 2002+ models.
I started with a mk1 punto when i began driving over a year ago, the mk1 has its problems which i will not go into now as it is not what i am reviewing. However when i upgraded to the mk2 i was much more inpressed.
When i first entered the mk2 it felt alot more roomier and the interior design in my opinion is alot more stylish and modern, which is what i expected. The interiour colour scheme is similar to the colour on the exterior. For example my punto is light blue on the exterior and thus dark blue interior.
When i started the engine i didnt think it had actually started, it had but it was so quiet compared to the mk1 i didnt realise the engine was running...

Review of Fiat Punto 1.2
Advantages: Reliable, Spacious, Great MPG. Disadvantages: Some flimsy minor interior parts, Slightly dated look.
...As a 19 year old student, who had finally had to scrap his 1995 Astra Merit due to it suffering evry problem under the sun from repeated fuel oxygen probe failures to total EMS failures, I had to take any car I could find that I could afford with my part time wages to get me back and forth from Uni.
That makes it all the more lucky that I stumbled upon my P reg 1.2 Clio. Used, of course, with 78,000 on the clock and a £750 price tag. After another 12,000 miles driven, it still feels as tight in control as the day it was made. The clutch is sturdy, but not too springy, the brakes are tight but not jerky and the power steering is a blessing compared to my previous car.
It starts first try every time (aside from one unfortunate day when my sunroof seal came apart and the cavity that houses the interior light and remote locking...
