...The original Speed, released in 1994, was a rock solid adrenaline pumping film, which, apart from the last 10 minutes, left you wanting more. It's sequel, Speed 2 Cruise Control, is terrible. The action sequences are limp, the adrenaline pumping moments of tension non-existent and the script appalling. Replacing Keanu Reeves from the first film is action man Jason Patric, who looks good on screen but is merely a cardboard cut out action man, in the vein of Jean Claude Van Damme, but much much worse. Reeves obviously had the sense to jump ship (excuse the pun!), but Sandra Bullock is still there, playing the cutesy yet clumsy female lead who's now changed boyfriends. ...Not the best game i have ever played, there are obvious disadvantages: Poor music, lifespan far to short (can be completed in one day if you are an experienced player. There are also good points to the game, briliant choice of parts for your car and the best graphics yet seen on a Need for Speed. There is also a great choice of car especially if you have the collectors edition, police chases are now more realistic, with the car speed greatly increased and the adition of lots of pursuit breakers and shortcuts. However there is an added difficulty becuase all of the cars especially the muscle type are easy to roll so it is very aggravating when you get busted upside down! The new feature of bringing a wingman into a race with yu is also very annoying becuase more often than not they will get in your way and lose you the race. All in all...

Now thats Need for Speed Underground to you, and it was indeed the best selling game of 2003. Alrite, here comes 2004 with EA realeasing a sequel to the first NFS Underground. Here's my review for Need For Speed Underground 2. Gameplay: Lets start off with the gameplay first. First of all, the normal race modes from the first game are all here. Need for Speed Most Wanted is Most Wanted

...So, Need for Speed Most Wanted. I found it a fantastic game. I think that graphics are truly brilliant... that is on your own personal car. The surrounding cars on the road don't have quite as good graphics, actually they look a bit like toy cars. However, the same can be said for all Need for Speed games so I won't downgrade the game to much over that. The sound effects on the cars are like the graphics, very realistic. The best thing about this game however is the police chases. I could sit for hours just messing about with them, you get all sorts of different types of police vehicles chasing you, including choppers. The pursuits can really last for as long as you want them to (providing you are half decent at the game). You can even smash through roadblocks :), and run over spikes and get stuck :( . Advantages: Mass variety of cars, races and modifications.
Disadvantages: Playing for long (and i mean long) periods of time can become a little repetative.

...Where can i start? NFSU2 in my opinion is one of the best racing games i have ever played! It uses so many features that other racing games dont. I was pretty impressed when i foudn that you have to drive around to find races, or you can play the normal career game as a free run, as it is up to you when you want to enter races. Talking of races, NFSU2 has a great variety of races, these include, circuits, drifting, street X, sprints and drag races! By using these differnt types of races, it means that if you dont like a certain race, you can leave it till last as ther are plenty of others to be getting on with. ...When I first saw this game round my friends, El?s, I thought I?d like it as he had already told me what it I was like. But I didn?t think I?d like it this much. He paid 37.99 for this, which I think, is a bit too much! But I?m sure if you want to buy this game you will be able to find it a lot cheaper now. It comes in a case, like any other PS2 game, in a DVD like case. The front has a picture of a car displayed and it is drawn to look like it is moving extremely fast so you begin to know what the game must be about. It is bright orange with a few visual modifications on it so you begin to also see what kind of things you can buy for the car. The background is a dark sky blue colour and there are white streaks behind the wheels that makes it seem as if it is moving very fast yet again. Need for speed underground is also displayed...
