2 STAR HOTEL THAT SHOULD BE FAR MORE

Advantages: Excellent value for money and extremely clean and tidy
Disadvantages: Slightly to far to be able to walk to city centre

...of Santiago De Compostela, it is very close to the city, approximately 3 km away, and roughly 5 minutes travel in a car, but even this distance could make it too far to walk into the centre and back again, so we used the car to travel to the built up areas. * FIRST IMPRESSIONS * The hotel is basically located next to the main road, with a restaurant and a small car park to the front, and is built on five levels. It looks modern, compared to other hotels that appear to have been built many years ago. From outside, it did look well kept and clean. The Star Hotel - An absolute Gem!

Advantages: Food - Staff - Location - Everything
Disadvantages: NOTHING !

...Just back from a wonderful stay at The Star hotel in Kingussie. We stayed for a 5 night break in Sept. and cannot find fault. We were welcomed by the owner, and shown to our room. Good size, with large double bed, nice dressing table & warbrobe with plenty of space for all our walking gear. Tea & Coffe making facilities aswell as an iron & hairdryer. You can have the option of having a bath or shower, we chose bath, which was huge! Ample car parking behind the hotel which also doubles as a little beer garden. Breakfast & dinner included in price...and to be honest we have never eaten so much in our lives!!! Absolutely amazing especially for the price! A decent but basic 2 star hotel near Bournemouth Pier

Advantages: Good value for money and good location.
Disadvantages: Based on the price, none.

...heating radiators, but also had openable windows which looked out on to the sea. Good wardrobe space, a dressing table and draw space. The bed was comfortable enough and the linen and pillows were of a good standard. The restaurant/bar was reasonable and the staff on reception were polite and helpful. I did not have a car but there was some car parking space outside but I don't know if this would incur an extra charge. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Bournemouth pier and a similar distance from Bournemouth town centre. Its abour 2 Km from Bournemouth Railway Station. Hotel stays in Bournemouth are quite expensive so I'd recommend The Russell Court as one of the better value 2 star hotels to stay at....

Is the Corsa 1.2 sxi the star buy?

Advantages: Small, reliable, easy to drive and safe
Disadvantages: Fuel consumption slightly high

.... The alloy wheels do come with locking wheel nuts, usually purchased separately. This will save you around thirty pounds to keep your wheels safe. ECONOMY Economy is fair, although one thing that becomes apparent within the first week of ownership is the amount of fuel used. Even though it is only a 1.2 engine, it has sports injectors meaning that the engine is squirted with a little bit extra fuel to give a small kick in acceleration.To keep fuel consumption low, you have to drive the car well below the national speed limit. Certainly not one of the cars strong points. The Corsa 1.2 sxi is insurance group 3, so is fairly cheap to insure. Road tax is relatively cheap too due to low emissions, that's if road tax can be called cheap these days. PERFORMANCE 0-60mph is hit in around 11 seconds with a top speed of around 106mph. ...My Husband and I have just returned from The Star Hotel, the hotel while being old fashioned it is extremelly clean and the staff very helpful and pleasant, the food is excellant I defy anyone to find better value for the money, the day before I arrived I injured my back and the girl on reception called Tanya kept heating my back pad in the microwave oven for me, she is a little treasure, on our second day we booked to return in March 2009 and we are looking forward to it, yes the hotel has no lifts but that is no problem, the portions of the food given are exceptional I'm sure I've put a stone on in the four days we were there. It is in a great location for seeing all other local sites, I can really recommend going to see the Reindeers just outside Aviemore a truly great experience...

Two star hotel with one star service

Advantages: Location, decor
Disadvantages: Lights not working, no plugs for sink or bath, grumpy staff, noisy, poor food

...closed so that I could sleep. The fact that my only neighbours in the other room decide to have an argument at 3am in the morning also kept me awake, but I suppose these things happen even in five star hotels!! When I got up the next morning I made a bee line for the shower, only to find there was no shower, only a bath. It was then I found out there was no bath plug, there was no sink plug either, so with the prospect of having no ablutions, I had to 'cobble' together a make shift plug out of the soap packet they supplied!! On my way to the breakfast room I asked the lady in reception if she could organise two plugs & fix my lights. 'No problem sir, consider it done' she said. Breakfast was due to start at 7.30am, pity no one told the staff!! As I had a taxi booked for 8.15am I was a little anxious that by 7.45am they just starting to lay...

Singstar has that star quality

Advantages: You can have between 1-8 players, making it perfect for parties or for playing alone
Disadvantages: You may tire of the same 30 songs

...As a fifteen-year-old in 2004, I was thrilled when Sony released Singstar for the Playstation 2. It meant that I no longer had to play dodgy platform games or horrific shoot-em ups, but I could now experience a game that was perfect for parties with my friends. I bought Singstar pretty much as soon as it came out, as a stand-alone game (I had Singstar Party as a bundle pack already). I can't remember how much I paid for it as I got it on ebay, but it was in great quality and a lot cheaper than it was in the shops. Straight away I invited 7 friends round (you can have up to 8 players at a time), and we all crowed round the TV with the eye-toy in front of us to enhance the game even further. We opted for the party mode which has two different game types: best of 3 - get the highest scores for the 3 songs selected for the competition...

Advantages: It's spectacular and surprisingly quiet and the best location in the city
Disadvantages: Parking, high prices.

...As a student at Oxford University in the late 1980s, the Randolph seemed like the physical embodiment of the class divide that afflicted poor kids like me who came from state schools from the much wealthier students who took the affluence and grandeur of the city's finest hotel entirely in their stride. I'd never been in such a grand hotel and the closest thing to a grand building in my home city was the local branch of Lloyds Bank. My flat mates' parents would arrive each term and take us out to the Randolph for rather staid Sunday lunches in the spectacular high ceilinged dining room where we'd sit and watch the world cycle by through the tall windows. By contrast my parents would visit bringing a bag full of fish and chips or a Chinese take-away. I can't really say that we enjoyed the Randolph that much more than a take...
