...Very good Speed and unbelieveable performance and The Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 5100 series is ideal for intense computing environments, 32-bit and 64-bit business-critical applications and high-end workstation and Analysis in my mind Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor 5100 series-based platforms are expected to deliver up to 2.25 times the performance and 2.35 times the performance/watt of previous-generation dual-core Intel Xeon processors and realiable performance and I always advice my friends, visiter and colike. In my view overall good performance Easily purchase. Good Manufacture support and overall we see performance, efficiency, design very valuable. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / 2.4 GHz processor
Review of Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / 2.4 GHz processor by
mash123
Advantages: handle multiple tasks at same time and doesnt slow pc.
Disadvantages: potentially waste of money
...the latest processor from intel, the new intel core 2 quad is the most powerful processor available for the average home pc. The 2.4GHz processor is more than enough for everyday tasks on your pc. This is perfect if you do hardcore gaming, video editing etc or both! The four cores allow you to simultaneously do alot of tasks on the pc and it will not slow down your pc. As more and more software for pc's need a lot of processing power, this processor is the most up to date and the most powerful as yet. The downside to getting this would be that as computing power of computers are increasing faster and faster with respect to time, the quad core processor will no doubt be yesterdays news within a few months as intel have plans to release an octa-core processor which will then outdate this one....

Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 / 2.33 GHz processor
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 / 2.33 GHz processor by
mop591
Advantages: Very fast, cheap
Disadvantages: need to have IT expereince
...This intel dual core processor with 2.33Ghz speed (total speed of 4.6Ghz) with a 4MB Cache can handle an awful lot of demanding programs runnning at once, obviously it has its limits, but for the price its a very good processor. This processor is also compatable with 64 bit computing.
It has an LGA775 Socket which is compatable with most of the new motherboards if you are looking to upgrade or build your own pc. If you are looking to buy a processor i would highly recommend this one or several similar ones, but you need to have IT experience and know what you are doing before paying out for one of these. It comes with a 3 year limited warrenty so it is really set to last....

Intel's Core 2 Duo E6300
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 / 1.86 GHz processor by
nickrein
Advantages: Fast, Dual-Core, Overclockable, Great for Gaming
Disadvantages: Price?
...This is an excellent processor from Intel. It is using the new Core 2 Duo technology. This is a dual-core, meaning that it can preform multiple functions, such as browsing the web and listening to music while burning a cd, very well.
This is one of the less expensive processors from the new line. However, I have found it to be the the processor that has the best value. It is an excellent buy and is strongly recommended for all new computers that can afford to spend this much on a processor.
For those interested in overclocking, it offers unbeatable potential. A huge overclock, meaning about 3.2 ghz, is not uncommon or particularly hard to reach with quality components. Please note that this voids your guarantee however.
This is also perfect for gaming. With this, one core can handle background applications, such as winamp...

Introducing core 2 duo at the lowest price
Review of Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 / 1.8 GHz processor by
neo1983
Advantages: Greatest value and performance at the lowest price, highly overclockable
Disadvantages: Only 1MB L2 shared cache, performance hit in games
...). In the following years AMD followed this trend and also launched another low cost processors called Duron and after Duron the Sempron. I always had a great opinion about AMD low end processors family because they had the best price/performance ratio and providing sufficient performance. At the same time I had a worse opinion about the Celeron processors especially about based on the Pentium 4 architecture. In present days both Celeron and Sempron are quite obsolete because they are both single core processors and can be found in a small number of stores. The low end processors market is gradually replaced by dual core processors called AMD Athlon x2 processors at low frequencies and by Intel E2100 family based on E2140 and E2160 processors
▀ ▀ ▀ How this processor arrived on his market and why did Intel launched it. ▀...

Athlon X2 6000+
Review of AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3 GHz processor by
far_hk
Advantages: Integrated Memory Controller
Disadvantages: TDP, Price, Relative performance
...AMD has been on the decline after Intel introduced its core 2 Duo line of processors. It has been late on 65 nm process and they are paying for that. They had the market under total control just one year ago, but now they have lost even their loyal customers. AMD has to produce something very powerful and should be done quickly or they will even lose the small share that they has got.
Coming to the processor, Athlon 64 X2 6000+ is a midrange processor to compete Intel in the midrange segment. It is powerful but not enough to beat Intel's counter parts.
I got this processor in the PC which my uncle gifted to me. So, I have got it free. If I were given a choice before it was gifted to me, I certainly would have asked for an Intel processor in the same price range.
Looking at the processor, we note that it's speed is 3 GHz. It has...

Intel's E6600 processor from HEAVEN!
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor by
ichkeria
Advantages: Relatively economical, Extreme performance, Extreme Overclockability, Low temperatures/Power usage
Disadvantages: Not any!!
...One word, awesome. That's the only way I can think to describe this processor to you. The performance that you get with this CPU is astounding, destroying my petty benchmarks. With very little effort I was able to overclock it to far faster speeds than the top of the line Conroe processors, and this only on air! Bottom line is, if you want performance that will knock you sideways and overclocks that will make the tuner in all of us stand up and take notice then this is the CPU for you.
If you buy the more budget E6300 or E6400 you will be sacrificing not only clock speed but 2mb of level 2 cache. So if you want a processor that will give you the performance of some of the more expensive chips with just a little tweaking this is the one for you.
Up to 40 percent faster than previous generation desktop processors the Intel Core 2 Duo...

A Return to the Intel Fold
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 / 2.4 GHz processor by
sexyjw
Advantages: Blistering performance. Good overclocker. 64-bit processing.
Disadvantages: Pricey. Heat sink and fan is a little strange.
.... It will suffice to say that I bought an Intel 975X chipset motherboard, 2GB of RAM, and a middle-of-the-road graphics card.
When the system arrived, I built everything else, and arrived at the installation of the CPU. The processor has no pins on it's underside - that was the first thing that I found strange. Instead, it has a matrix of copper pads, which touch the pins sticking up from the 'socket' on the motherboard. It was easy to determine which way the processor went in, and it was also extremely easy to close the processor retainer.
Once the processor was in though, I attempted to fit the heat sink and fan. It was a strange process. It all fitted together OK...it's just the 'feel' of it that I didn't like. Basically, the heat sink fits onto the socket using four corner pins.Once these are in place, it's a case of pressing each one until...

The New INTEL CORE 2 QUAD Q6600/2.4GHZ
Review of Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / 2.4 GHz processor by
darkness120
Advantages: real fast, does more in less time, econimic and much more
Disadvantages: absolutely nothing
...The new Q6600 from Intel is fantastic, its real fast, it does things in less time. I own this processor and I only have good things to say about it its really good, and a fantastic price you can get from £170 only thats the best processor for this price. Ah one advice as it is four cores it is highly recomended that you use water cooled systems, but you don't need to worry too much, if you have a high end air cooler and your case has a good ventilation that should be fine at least my one is and only consume about 110w which makes it not heat that much as the others processors mainly AMD processors. Thats it The Best Processor ever from Intel at this price.
