...Apple mac-books, where to start... ok, so to start, it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are. this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop. The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop. The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is...

Dell Inspiron 1545 - good entry level laptop

Advantages: Cheap, good brand, lots of features,
Disadvantages: Probably not powerful enough for games, bottom of the market now

...family's files were lost in the reinstall, so I didn't even have to restore things from backup. Like other Inspiron laptops, the computer feels reasonably solid, weighing about 2.5kg. The finish is very shiny and doesn't feel cheap. The TrueLife screen offers excellent viewing quality, but is very reflective. I found the widescreen ratio to be a little bit hard to get used to - the screen is shorter and wider, so you have to page down more often. The computer connected easily to the wireless router, which was just as well because the Ethernet port came loose after only a few months. The battery life wasn't fantastic, but if you mainly use it plugged in, then this isn't an issue. The keyboard was much like any other laptop keyboard - obviously the keys don't go down as far as a regular keyboard that comes with a desktop and sound a bit clicky...

Big laptop Small money

Nice laptop, FAB extended warranty!

Advantages: Good specs, fast, wonderful extended warranties
Disadvantages: Feels a bit flimsy, no indicator lights showing wifi connection, etc.

...My Land Rover Discovery 2.5 TD5 GS is the 5-seat model, first registered in December 1999. It was bought in June 2000 for £20,000, having cost approximately £27,500 new. It had nearly 5000 miles on the clock. Bodywork was and is immaculate and the previous owner (a rural chemist) buys a new one quite frequently (every 6 months!). This car had also had lamp protectors and fog lamps fitted over the standard spec, with floor mats and mudflaps also fitted. The point at which bought it was just after the start of the drop in new and used prices and appeared to be priced to keep cash flow going as it has only depreciated by £2000 over 1 year. The dell inspiron laptop is it a good buy!

Advantages: The look of the dell inspiron laptop seems more classy then other notepads. It is simplistic.
Disadvantages: Maybe Dell Have gone too simplistic with this model as the features are nothing to rave about

...The Dell inspiron laptop has an attractive classy look, it has a simplistic stream-line look. When I take it out its case I feel good about it because its not a big bulky embarassing computer thing. However, if your one for keeping everything clean and tidy and no smudges anywhere, then maybe you might be irritated by this laptop. With its glossy look smudges, smears and fingerprints stand out like a sore thumb. You feel like your constantly wiping it. You also have to watch what you wipe the laptop with as it is quite easy to scratch. A better idea for Dell would be to provide a cloth to clean it with, one they know wont damage your laptop. It would be a real bummer to scratch it while cleaning it. I also decided to get the colour black because there wasnt a lot of colours to choose from which I found quite dissapointing as...

...I have owned a Discovery 2.5TDi from new since 2003 and consider now that I have enough experience to comment fairly on it. Good points 1. Excellent work horse. Can tow all day without noticing the load 2. Very comfortable and excellent seat movement 3. Makes you feel safe and secure Bad points 1. Very poorly designed dashboard layout. Most displays hidden by the steering wheel 2. Very badly positioned switches for electronic seat controls. You have to have needle thin hands and be a contortionist to use them 3. Poor electrics (especially the sun roof which has a mind of its own). and the worlds worst SAT Nav. You can buy a top of the range Garmin for less than the disc upgrade. Despite this we love it warts and all....

Jaguar 2.5 SE 4WD

Advantages: luxury, smmothness, stunning looks, power, comfort, space, driving pleasure

It was for sale outside some flash offices and we had a look at it as the price - £7995 in May 2008 - was very tempting and well within our budget. She fell in love with it right away. It is a 2.5 SE 4wd in metallic light blue and has the very light tan leather trim - absolutely gorgeous hardly does it justice !!! The owner saw us looking at it and came out to talk to us. He was getting a Lexus the folowing Sunday so wanted shut asap. He was a real gent - one of the old school - and so we arranged a test drive the following day as we both had no time to spare there and then. It was superb to drive - I had borrowed a similar one some 6yrs ago and this one seemed even better. 2 owners from new, FSH and utterly, utterly immaculate. The only faults being a steering wheel wobble...

Wheely good bike! (Giant Defy 2.5 Road Bike)

Disadvantages: Uncomfortable saddle, not the greatest wheels

...I have long harboured a desire to own a half decent roadbike. Fortunately my employers opted into the "Cycle to Work scheme" And I purchased a Defy 2.5. Looks This bioke looks good in a largely black and white frame with grey details. The bike itself is set at fairly agressive angles with a nice low handlebar. Frame The frame is extremely light aluminium (10kg total weight) and put together with very neat and efficient welds. The geometry feels right on the bike, although if you are new to raod bikes you may find the handlebar set a little low. My first ciouple of journeys resulted in sore back and stiff neck, however you soon adjust. Gears This bike features a 27 speed Shimano Tigra setup (3 front cogs, 9 rear cogs) That gives you a huge variation. In the highest gear roadsise blurs past you...

...as tough as old boots, a proper car. Now, finally, with apologies to those amongst you bored with the preamble, to the subject of this review: the latest SUBARU LEGACY 2.5 SE TOURER. It shares very much the same ingredients with the original "moors" car and the one driven several years ago, but GM (owners of this slightly eccentric Japanese marque) have applied the top gloss in terms of fit and finish and perceived quality. Indeed the old grey "tweed" upholstery has been replaced by superb half leather / alcantara, the dashboard is now attractive to look at - if a little "Eurobland" with its aluminium strips and flaps over the stereo. The car that we drove also had a huge panoramic sun roof which split in the middle. Personally I would have done without this particular option as all it served to do was create extra wind noise...
