Advantages: It's a beutiful and tragic story, your constantly feeling sympathy towards her and feel lucky that you weren't brought up like that.
Disadvantages: It's makes you feel really down although it is very interesting.

...This book was one of the best I have ever come across. It is Adeline Yen Mah's tragic life, her very sad biography, how she was bought up to feel like she had no existence and very unwanted. The story starts off by telling us about Adelin's birth, born the fifth child to an affluent Chinese family her life begins tragically. Adeline?s mother died shortly after her birth due to complications bought on by the delivery, and in Chinese culture this marks her as cursed or ?bad luck?. This situation is enforced on her so much that when her father?s new marriage took place to a lady who has little affection for her husband?s five children. She displayed overt antagonism and distrust towards all of the children, particularly Adeline, whilst favoring her own younger son and daughter born soon after the marriage. The book outlines...

Mah Jongg???

Advantages: Gets your mind going. Great puzzler.
Disadvantages: Will you actually complete a level?

...The game's alright but i haven't got the faintest what the title means. Mah Jongg is a one-player version of an ancient Chinese game. The creator is Yaroze and it's a puzzler type game. The idea of the game is to clear away all of the rectangular playing tiles which are displayed on screen. To accomplish this you must match up pairs of tiles that look the same. Once you've matched them up they are removed from play. The difficulty lies in the fact that only tiles from the outside of the board or tiles that sit on an elevated level can be selected for pairing. Each tile has a symbol on it and some of the chinese element tiles are: bamboo, cherry, chrysanthemum and plum. These can all be paired. The seasons are also included. So these tiles can be paired together: Summer, Spring, Winter an Autumn. You're timed but it's not...

Emotional biography of Adeline Yen Mah.

Advantages: True story.Enjoyable read. Very interesting
Disadvantages: Very emotional which can be a bit upsetting.

...I recently read this book at part of a school project. I enjoyed it thoroughly and once I had started reading it was difficult to put down. The book is a sad and emotional biography by Adeline Yen Mah. Adeline?s mother tragically died because of complication?s with Adeline?s birth. Her father blamed Adeline for the death and considered her to be bad luck. Her father then re-married and had 2 more children with his new wife, Niang. Niang treated her own children well and they got whatever they wanted but for Adeline and the rest of her siblings they could only eat at certain times and only had a few clothes and got last pick in everything. The only members of her family who she feels close to is her Grandfather, Ye-Ye and her Aunt Baba. Ye-Ye later dies and Adeline isn?t told about the death until she was on the way to his funeral...

How Super is Mah Jong

Advantages: Just keep playing

...How addictive is the classic oriental game made into this popular P.C game, Super Mah Jong from Game house? The idea of Mah Jong is to pick pairs out of a bundle of tiles stacked up. As you pick out the pairs they disappear, leaving less and less tile as you go along. Once all the tiles have gone its game over. Super Mah Jong is even better. It has the same concept as the original game, but there are a few changes which make the game more irrisistable. Firstly you can choose between different sets of tiles, ranging from the traditional oriental tiles to an easy set with big pictures, letters and numbers on them. Creative HQ-2300D Headphones

Advantages: Quality, Comfortable, Dolby Digital, Value for money

...After researching on the internet, at different prices and various headphones that was available, I wanted a suitable headphone that I could use when I didn't want to disturb the neighbours late at night using my surround sound and to be value for money. The Creative HQ-2300D Headphones are a great addition to the market, incredibly comfortable; sound including bass is fantastic and with the decoder sounds even better. I already own a dozen headphones, mostly made by Sony which is all relatively small and fit inside the ear, which limit the sound usually to the standard stereo sound. These are great once connected to the decoder to get that true Dolby digital surround sound in your ear. Originally I wanted a wireless option, but a lot of negative reviews convinced me to stray away and opt for these. They feel of great quality...

Advantages: Cheap, good quality printout, free scanner until end of march 2004
Disadvantages: Expensive duplexer, non-networkable

Advantages: Rechargeable Superberb Battery Life
Disadvantages: Can take a long time to charge with a standard charger

...These batterys are fantastic for appliances that use up battery life quickly. For me personally these batterys have even made my cd player last longer even though it recommends Alkaline Batts which last 20hrs but with these batts it has lasted for over 40hrs. The one problem is to be truely happy with these batts you have to spend around 30 pounds on a fast charge which should take around 1hr to charge or you can stick to the standard chargers which take 16hrs to charge. At the end of the 16hr hour charge it is well worth the lond wait. These Batterys are AA only! to find batterys with as good a performance look on the battery for the highest mAh eg 1200mAh Last but not least i recommend to everyone not to buy AA's or AAA's under the 1200mAh range.
