Creative Sound Blaster 24bit

Advantages: Cheap, good quality sound
Disadvantages: not enough ports

...My computer is getting on a bit, my sound card was a Creative Live 1024 and saw this card for £25 brand new and thought that's a bargain compared to other 24bit cards. After buying the card it installed very easily and the software bundle that came with it is very useful. I've always used creative as I find the sound quality is very good and using it for gaming you need it. This card was much better than my Live 1024 but I doubt many people would be able to notice. The card has the ability to switch between 4.1, 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 sound. I currently use a 5.1 surround sound headset so set it 5.1 and it is fantastic. The software bundle that comes with it is very good and easy to use. For the average home user this bundle will be more than enough to fully enjoy this card. Dyson DC24 Vacuum

Advantages: lightweight, small, ease of use
Disadvantages: small dustbag

...I love this vacuum!!! Its so light, compact and really easy to use even my husband can use it!! I have already got a dyson vac but needed to replace it due to it being old and bits starting to drop off (sounds a bit like its owner really!) I saw this on a preview and really liked it. It is only 3/4 size of a ordinary vac as the handle collapses inside itself. It is very easy to use as you just twist the handle to steer the vaccum on its ball rather than vaccing backwards and forwards. The beater bar can be switched off with a button on the front of the vacuum when using the attached tools. Even if this vac is 3/4 size, it does just as good a job as a full size one. The dustbin is only small and requires more frequent emptying but this is not a problem. Stairs are easy to do as the power lead is quite long and the vacuum very...

dyson dc24 not as good as i would have thought

...I purchased this dyson having owned a dyson for many years, and then my new puppy decided to chew any chewable parts that it had, so opted to buy a new one. Now initially my mum had went and bought me a miele hoover, which was not an upright or bagless but the suction is apparantly superior, but i prefer an upright and when i tried to vacuum my rugs with the miele, i decided an upright would be the less physically demanding cleaner for me, which is always important to a busy mum and housewife. I searched the net and found one on cdiscount for £179.99 which was on offer at the time, so i went ahead and bought it and looked forward to receiving it. I chose this one instead of the dc24 as i have a lot of stairs in my house and the smaller size appealled to me as not being as heavy as a larger one, would be easier to take around...

...Season 5 of the award winning series 24, was first aired back in 2006 and was mostly known for its shocking and explosive first episode. When mini trailers of hour 1 went around sky, i tried to switch over every time but to no avail, i caught something and i was hooked in. Normally id prefer to watch the episodes on dvd so i can watch as many as i like but my girlfriend at the time had sky plus so she recorded the whole series. After getting through 9 hours of it we broke up, not anything to do with 24 don' worry, therefore i had seen nearly half of the series and then had to wait for the dvd release to continue watching. Only once have i done this, never again. Wait for the dvd, its worth it. Anyway, this season is one of my favourites as it doesnt hold back on the storylines and shock factor plus provides probably the best ending so...

...Before I start this review I just need to get one thing off my chest, Jack Bauer is my hero! I've watched every series of 24 so far and have loved each one (some more than others) so when I heard that there was going to be a 'film' I couldn't be more excited. 24 : Redemption is a bridge between the events of series six and series seven. The producers/writers felt that this was necessary to fill the huge gap between series due to the recent writers strike. 24 is normally set out in one hour episodes which are shown in 'real time', that is, one hour long episode represents one hour of the shows storyline. Wierd little bits

...I'd somehow managed to completely avoid watching a single episode of 24 right up to the current season (7). I'd seen the adverts but it was completely not my thing. I hate movies like that, and I hate TV shows along the same lines even more. For some reason I decided to give season 7 a go as so many people were looking forward to it coming back on - and, much to my annoyance, I got completely hooked and ended up buying all the boxsets so I could catch up. I ended up watching the entire set of season one in two days. It is completely, ridiculously, compulsive. Another brilliant instalment in the 24 franchise

Advantages: Some shocking plot twists and turns
Disadvantages: Doesnt quite hit the heights of previous seasons

...Another day with Jack means another rollercoaster ride, ups and downs (same thing!), tension, edge of your seat stuff and from what we have learnt over the 6 years, story 6 years, of Jack that people close to him generally tend to either end up dead or in a considerably worse position than they were when they met him. The loyalty for his country that this man shows, is beyond that of a normal american and in my opinion borders on insanity but what a legend and what another good series this is. I felt that this season fell slightly short of the previous one, it would be difficult to match the standard the creators set themselves but i still give it 5 stars. Maybe it took viewers a while to get used to the new characters and Jack not working at CTU anymore but you know what to expect from a 24 series, although this one for me missed...
