Advantages: Great acting, great script Disadvantages: none
...McCoy, Todd Carty, Bobby Davro, Neil Morrisey and Robert Powell doing the same thing just wouldn't have been the same ( but I would love to see that version!). So it just goes to show that you don't need loads of things happening and fast editing (Guy Ritchie) to make a great film,
I thought the acting in 44 Inch Chest was excellent. By far the best performances come from classic English actor John Hurt and old Lovejoy himself Ian McShane. Hurt plays a nasty old man Steptoe type character who hates the gay escapades of McShane. One of the best scenes comes when he marvellously retells the biblical story of Samson and Delilah. Using footage from the 1949 film, Hurt tells the story in typical East End fashion which oddly works against the old school Hollywood background.
McShane as well comes off very well indeed. If anyone's seen...

Review of 44 Inch Chest
Advantages: Its cheaper than most model Disadvantages: It's got the Matsui name on it
...A few months back I took my sister off to currys as she wanted a new TV. However, me being me, I came back with a new TV and my sister quite simply didn?t!
I came back with the Matsui 2109NS. Now, I wouldn?t normally buy a Matsui television, simply because they are at the cheap end of the market and generally, I believe in you get what you pay for. However, having got a Matsui microwave that?s been going for a good few years and 2 Matsui video recorders which have had no problems, I decided to give it a go. But hang on, why did I come back with a TV and not my sister?
Basically, she wants a 14? TV to fit in her flat. The Matsui was sitting on the shelves advertised as the Managers Special for the small sum of £87.95 (small sum for a TV anyway!). Now, I don?t know about the rest of you, but that?s a pretty good price for a 21...
Advantages: One of the best seasons of the series. be prepared to be shocked Disadvantages: Other priorities in life with become secondary while watching
...actor in a drama series. That pretty much tells the story of his performance in this and every one of the 24 seasons.
Both Gregory Itzin and Jean Smart were nominated for an emmy for outstanding supporting actor and actress and had regularly played alongside each other in various stage performances.
24 LAYOUT -
A lot of the filming of this season is between CTU and Logans presidential retreat, built especially for the character. The split screen is still very much in force which is good to see. As with the other seasons, the episodes are filmed to cater for TV time therefore the hour long episodes are actually around 42 minutes on dvd with the remainder taken up by adverts.
TECHNICAL STUFF -
Run time for this season is 1024 minutes, plenty to watch!!
Jon Cassar who has made a habit of being the main director for the episodes...
...not have any remote extender facility so if you need to change the channel etc. on your AV equipment you'll need to go into the other room. It does allow selection of all RF channels though. There are buttons on the side of the TV for RF channel selection, volume, TV/AV and Menu, so you can still use it if you can't find the remote. The receiver also has a headphone socket if you want to watch something without disturbing others.
The transmitter is small and inobtrusive (9 x 5.5 x 1.5 inch) box that with the right cables could be placed anywhere to give you the best signals. This brings me to the main failing of the device - although the range is quite good and on a par with standard video senders, like all wireless devices, it is very susceptible to local interference. There can be picture and sound breakup if you have WLAN, microwave...

Review of Cliod 10.4 Wireless TV
Advantages: small, good for small spaces, easy to store Disadvantages: suction not up to par
...I purchased this dyson having owned a dyson for many years, and then my new puppy decided to chew any chewable parts that it had, so opted to buy a new one.
Now initially my mum had went and bought me a miele hoover, which was not an upright or bagless but the suction is apparantly superior, but i prefer an upright and when i tried to vacuum my rugs with the miele, i decided an upright would be the less physically demanding cleaner for me, which is always important to a busy mum and housewife.
I searched the net and found one on cdiscount for £179.99 which was on offer at the time, so i went ahead and bought it and looked forward to receiving it. I chose this one instead of the dc24 as i have a lot of stairs in my house and the smaller size appealled to me as not being as heavy as a larger one, would be easier to take around...
Advantages: Great music Disadvantages: Too many advers
...I'm an individual who enjoys a good bit of music. Any genre will generally do if it's 'good' - by that I mean not some terrible cheesy pop song, but generally I'll stick to my indie/rock malarkey. So it's ideal then that the New Music Express has introduced their own TV station - NME TV...
Operated by CSC Media Group, it replaced the music channel 'Minx' in November 2007 - which is odd as I believe Minx was more a pop music channel that indie. Upon it's launch, the first song it played was 'Up The Bracket' by the Libertines, so a perfect indication of what this channel would be playing.
Like with all music channels, it's input is predominantly music videos - along with copious amounts of adverts - but it does also contain special shows, often highlighting bands with albums recently released or out soon either picking their...

Review of NME TV
...I would say there are six websites that I could not live without. I would not say that it is a mixed bag of sites - it is either money making related or media related. One of these media related websites is the official website of my greatest inspiration in life. She is such a wonderful person, and a perfect role model. Who is this woman? Of course, it's Andrea McLean!
If you for some reason do not know who Andrea McLean is, then I am a tiny bit offended! She was a long running weather girl for GMTV, only to give up that post a few months back. She is now the main anchor of ITV daytime chat show phenomenon Loose Women, a job I would kill for. She is one of the most amazing TV Presenters around, and has such a wonderful personality. The day I met her was one of the most amazing days of my life, a moment I will treasure forever. She...

Advantages: Jack Bauer Disadvantages: Not much action
...Before I start this review I just need to get one thing off my chest, Jack Bauer is my hero! I've watched every series of 24 so far and have loved each one (some more than others) so when I heard that there was going to be a 'film' I couldn't be more excited.
24 : Redemption is a bridge between the events of series six and series seven. The producers/writers felt that this was necessary to fill the huge gap between series due to the recent writers strike.
24 is normally set out in one hour episodes which are shown in 'real time', that is, one hour long episode represents one hour of the shows storyline. Its an interesting concept that really does work very well. I met the news of 24 : Redemption with interest, excitement, intrigue but also apprehension. How well would this idea work as a 'film'? The whole nature of the show would need...
...– Hansel’s penis. To legally wed in East Germany, he must undergo a physical inspection. One botched sex change (more on that later) later, and the couple are in the land of the free. Hansel, now using her mother’s name – Hedwig – ends up freer than he expected, when Luther decides to divorce her. Betrayed and alone in her trailer park home, she starts out on the road to musical fame. She meets a young man who she falls for deep, who becomes her musical partner too. Her songs become an outlet for her strange story, but the life of a transsexual is never a smooth ride...

The plot is pretty thick for a musical, and never really serves as a means to get from one place to another, but rather as a retrospective. Hedwig and her band – The Angry Inch – play most of the numbers in a small club in...
Advantages: Great acting, exciting, good effects Disadvantages: Not really 24 hours! Slower paced than newer seasons
...I'd somehow managed to completely avoid watching a single episode of 24 right up to the current season (7). I'd seen the adverts but it was completely not my thing. I hate movies like that, and I hate TV shows along the same lines even more. For some reason I decided to give season 7 a go as so many people were looking forward to it coming back on - and, much to my annoyance, I got completely hooked and ended up buying all the boxsets so I could catch up.
I ended up watching the entire set of season one in two days. It is completely, ridiculously, compulsive. About half way through every episode I would be fed up with having not moved in so long and would want to go and do something else, but then by the end of the episode my thoughts would change to, "Well...one more won't hurt."
So, what's different about 24 from other...
