Samsung V25
Review of Samsung V25 cXT 2000 - C 2 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
Testarossa
Advantages: Quick, easy to use, and lots of features
Disadvantages: None in comparison to my old one
...I have had my Samsung V25 for a couple of months now, and thought I would give you my verdict.
The acquisition of this product came about by accident. I had an IBM, which I loved. It had an external floppy drive though, and when my son decided to move it out of his way, he put the floppy drive on top of the keys, and tried to shut the lid. (Ouch!)
So, with a cracked screen, which the insurance company were unable to replace, they offered me a Samsung V25 in it’s place.
I cannot say that I am sorry. Although I loved my IBM, this really is the bee’s knees in comparison (after all, the IBM is pretty out of date at only 3 years old).
***About Samsung***
Samsung entered the UK market in 1984, and now turn over £300M per year. They are market leaders in computer monitors, fax machines, telephones, microwave ovens etc...

SuperG Wireless USB Adaptor
Review of Siemens Gigaset USB Adaptor 108 by
robosapien
Advantages: Small, easy to use and relatively stable
Disadvantages: Poor support and old drivers
...I purchased the Siemens Gigaset USB Adaptor 108 from Play.com for £7.99 including P&P. An absolute bargain when you consider what lesser devices retail for.
This USB adaptor supports the 108Mbps SuperG wireless standard, and is backwards compatible with a, b and regular G networks too. It supports WEP, WPA and WPA2.
The unit is very small, about the size of a box of matches. It has, what appears to be, a shielded cable about a metre long with a standard USB plug on the end. There is a little aerial which folds down, though this doesn't really make it any more convenient to carry round. There are two green LEDs to tell you the power is connected and to show wireless network activity. The unit is light, but feels like it's well made.
I had read on a few websites not to use the installation CD as the drivers on it are old...

Sennheiser HD-25's: Ideal for Home or Pro DJ
Review of Sennheiser HD 25 by
purpleduck
Advantages: Comfort, Quality, Availability of spares.
Disadvantages: Cord a bit short.
...supply these quite readily making the HD-25 truly user serviceable – ideal for the demands of the professional ear phone wearer.
The headband can be split down the middle, offering great support – these won’t fall of your head will dancing around like a Muppet. The cord is made of steel cable for tensile strength and has a solid cable grip facility on the right hand side, this could be a problem since most people are right handed it could get in the way if used with mixing deck (or they could be just worn back to front). The cord has a right angle 3.5mm jack, supplied with a 1 / 4 “ adapter both are high quality nickel plated , both drive units terminate at the other end with 2 – pin spade connectors for easy cable/drive unit replacement. The cord is a little on the short side at 1.5M for general use, I think it must have been kept...

Chip and PIN - A step forward?
Review of Chip and PIN by
moxmalin
Advantages: Much better security (as harder to forge a pin you can't see), so less fraud!
Disadvantages: Having to remember PIN numbers of multiple cards
...The new Chip and PIN system is definitely quite different from standard credit and debit card use as it was before, and personally, I think it's a fantastic idea.
I've always considered a signature for verification purposes to be a bad idea when the very signature you'd need to verify the card somebody could have stolen can easily be forged by looking at the card itself!
With the new system, verification is performed on a separate machine for the consumer, who enters in a four digit PIN code, much as when in a cash machine at a bank, without the need for them to sign anything, and all verification done electronically, which is much more reliable.
From the retailers point of view (from experience), the new system very simple to use and causes no problems, except when people don't know their PIN number, which is very often indeed...

PINs are coming...
Review of Chip and PIN by
Kianastar
Advantages: Much better security, faster transactions
Disadvantages: remembering your numbers
...PINs are coming to the UK - are you ready to get your memory primed?
Okay, I've only been living in the UK for a couple of months now, so I'll give you a run-down on how card services work in Australia.
Since Electronic Funds Transfer at Point Of Sale (EFTPOS, what the UK knows as Switch) was introduced in Australia, we have used PINs to authorise purchases as well as withdrawing money from ATMs etc. A swipe machine (or chip reader in some advanced models) is used in stores to swipe the debit card, and the purchaser asked to choose which account they are using for the transaction - "Cheque or Savings?" Most debit accounts at banks are classified as savings accounts, but if you have a second account many banks will let you classify it under the "cheque" option, so that you actually have access to two accounts with the one card...

Linksys Wireless USB Adaptor's
Review of Linksys Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with SpeedBooster WUSB54GS by
daveylee20
Advantages: Perfection in every way. Shame it dosnt make you a cuppa tea also :-)
Disadvantages: The price would be seen as a little steep. But well worth it.
...Where can I start with this fantastic product. Firstly not only is this well worth the money, its durable also.
Ease of Installation
Well, this is not hard to get wrong, from opening the product its clearly marked on the adaptor to run the cd first. Then it prompts you to plug the adaptor into your USB port.
Now, you can ether use the software designed for the adaptor or let windows manage your wireless connection. I'm not sure about windows 2000 but for xp, it saves the login to access the network & auto connects you when you turn your pc on. Very handy if you have kids who use the net allot.
Compatibility
To be honest, I have not had any problems with the product what so ever.
Version/Model
This is a WUSB54G-S
This has the speed booster. This is handy if your pc is located on the other side of your home...

Kensington Travel Adaptor
Review of Kensington Travel Plug Adapter - power adapter by
patwanet
Advantages: Lightweight, Multiple plugs
Disadvantages: An extra addition to your bag
...The Kensington Travel Adaptor is a must for any electronic geek who travels abroad a lot. It is imazing that despite increasing globalisation and the unification and standardisation of many entities around the world, electrical power is one thing that varies around the world. From the US and Canada's 110V 3-round pin supply, to Europe's 250V 2-round pin supply, to Africa's Anglo-european comibination, it is quite easy to accidentally damage a device by plugging it in incorrectly.
The kensington adaptor is a useful, if half-hearted device. The multiple plugs are self contained making it easy to carry, and all that is needed is for the user to select the required one and plug it into the wall. Unfortunately however, this device is NOT a transformer, therefore UK devices sill won't work in the US even with the correct plug. I would...

Bluetooth... Or long in the tooth?
Review of TDK go blue Bluetooth USB Adaptor by
rickyshah
Advantages: It does what what is says on the tin
Disadvantages: lickle cable
...Right, now this is a review on the TDK go blue Bluetooth adaptor for your PC.
What’s it do, then?
------------------------------
Well, in a nutshell, it enables your PC to access Bluetooth devices.
Right, but my teeth are yellow. What is Bluetooth?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bluetooth is a form of wireless communication. It enables devices (like mobiles and PC's) to "talk" to each other without the need for wires. "Why would you want to do this!" I hear you cry. Well, there are many applications. Imagine a Bluetooth printer - you could connect it to any computer on the fly - or a Bluetooth keyboard - so you can sit on the sofa and type. The reason why I purchased this was that I have a range of Bluetooth enabled mobile phones, and I wanted an easy way to transfer stuff to and from...

THE VIDEO MEMORY CHIP.
Review of Video memory - 512 MB x 2 - EDO RAM - SOJ 40-PIN by
packerlist
Advantages: REALLY EXPANDS YOUR VIEW.
Disadvantages: : 512MB NOT LARGE.
...This is a video memory capacity device that can help you in expanding your view by attaching the video memory device to your electronics. By having this, the memory capacity of your system will expand and not only that, it enhances the colour resolution of your picture.
As a hard core PC gamer, this has helped me a lot in enjoying my PC games in high definition graphics and I think this will have no substitute for a long time in my system.
There are 2 40- pin small outlet j-lead Dram memory in the 1mb video memory upgrade of the video memory to access. The two40- pin modules are plugged into the SOJ socket on the system planar board. This also enables high resolution and offers good security.
All these features make it a very good video memory device and second it is of good value for money.
This also has 1mb EDO video...

Belkin Wireless USB adaptor
Review of Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter Network adapter by
craggybuk
Advantages: Simple to set up and use
Disadvantages: Software is not the greatest
...I bought this USB network adaptor for my son when he still had his Windows 98 machine as the PCI card that I reviewed previously was too advanced for his hardware. This USB adapter was bought to connect to my Belkin wireless router meaning that I now had a wireless network consisting only of Belkin hardware.
--Whats in the box--
On opening the box, there were no real surprises. There was the USB adapter, a stand which would allow you to place the adapter on your desk if you didnt want to have it plugged directly into the back of your PC, the antenna, a quick installation guide and a CD which contained the drivers and a full manual.
--Installation--
On reading the quick installation guide, it was apparent that the software had to be installed before the adapter was plugged in. The reason for this was because, when the hardware...
