...Here it is, the solution to the hassle of constantly swapping out batteries from the xbox 360 controller's battery pack. This product will definitely save you money as you'll be spending much less on AA batteries especially if you play your 360 a lot. This battery pack however is absolutely useless without the recharging chord or recharging dock. The rechargeable battery pack is very convenient but if you're playing with the controller while it's recharging the controller becomes a wired controller for a couple hours which is not necessarily a bad thing. Also I feel the price for this product is a little steep but I guess it does save you money in the long run. The batteries do last for a long time and I rarely recharge my batteries. When the batteries are fully charged the green light will go out and the charger will stop charging so it is impossible to over charge and damage the batteries. The charger comes with a 3 pin plug that can be slid off, the 2 prongs underneath can be pulled down and then the charger can be used in America. It would have been nice to have a European adapter to attache on like the 3 pin plug as it is aimed at the traveller. Charging times vary depending on the power of the batteries. It's a very sturdy bit of kit within a slightly odd design. It is manufactured from plastic of pretty thick cconstruction and I have no issue with the robustness of it. However, I can not for the life of me understand how they arrived at the sliding cover that sleeves the whole unit. It does not detract from its usability one bit but I would have liked to of been in on the design concept meeting to see how they got to the finsihed result :) I paid 16.99 for mine but I think if you shop around a bit you can save £2 or £3 off of that, plus delivery costs. Life I recommend fully charging these for first time use. I put them on for a day. From the full charge I managed to get a week use out of them. I use them in my Xbox 360 Controllers which are used by me and my brothers so they were on for most of the week. Charge While using the official charger for this product it takes around 6 hours to charge fully (Overnight). Size I find that these batteries are a little larger than the usual AA batteries because in my Xbox controller when I first got them in they took quite a lot of force to get them out again. On a full charge it will last around 24 hours of gaming and can be on charge while in use! It will add a small amound of extra weight to the controller but not so that you would notice. ...to make it work again - these seemed to remedy this. To re-charge the batteries, I use a Uniross Ni-Cd & Ni MH battery charger that I purchased by recommendation at the same time as the batteries. It takes about 4-5 hours for batteries to fully charge, which isn't bad considering they then last for weeks. The batteries can be charged up to 1,000 times. ...believe that most of my batteries have charged in about 60 minutes, on a full charge from an empty battery. As well as getting the charger, which plugs straight into the wall it includes 4 x 2500mAh Ni-Mh AA's (which are in sliver, and look quite attractive, you won't get these thrown out as they definately stand out from panasonic and duracell) You can charge AAA batteries however the sale only comes with 4 AA batteries. It has a sensor control, a red and green light, to tell you when it is still charging and when the charge is fully complete. Another helpful feature is that it includes a car adapter for no extra cost. ...The Uniross x-press 300 is a good charger which supports a range of different battery sizes. I bought this charger last year because I bought a wireless mouse and keyboard so made more sense getting rechargeable batteries rather than spending money on normal batteries every few weeks. I went with Uniross as they make decent rechargeable batteries and are well known for it. This x-press 300 charges AAA, AA & 9V size batteries. It lets you charge 2 or 4 AA/AAA and one 9V batteries of the same type at the same time. It's suitable for AA, AAA and 9V (PP3) NiCd and NiH batteries.
