Entry level Sony 28" widescreen TV
Advantages: Sony quality, good picture, cheapest of range for Wega TV
Disadvantages: very heavy (43kg), limited connections
...I saw a refurbished bargain - only £160 instead of the £320 usual price. Could I refuse this for a Sony Wega 28" TV? Certainly not, so it replaced my aged Panasonic 21" normal TV.
As with any widescreen CRT TV the first thing you notice is the sheer physical size. The box only just squeezed through the door, and the TV took two people to lift. Styling is smart with curves sweeping backwards and a silver finish.
There are two scart connections at the rear, but only one is RGB compatible. There is also an AV socket at the front for videocameras etc. Higher end TVs usually have more RGB capable scart sockets so this TV requires you to either daisychain your equipment or buy a signal switcher box - I have a DVD, FTA digibox, VCR, and Sky+ all daisychained to the single RGB scart. The TV autosenses which item was last turned on so...

dmc fz28
Advantages: Light weight, compact, superb picture quality, broad range of applications
Disadvantages: None
...I have to say it was a dificult decision for me in buying a top of the range compact digital camera. My original idea was to replace my Nikon compact that i have had for 4 or 5 years . I have also got an SLR and all the associated lenses adaptors and all the gizmos you can think of.My aim was to buy a digi SLR to replace the 2 cameras. but as i looked into it i eventually decided that some of the bridge cameras met all my needs and i finally made the decision that i did not want to carry all those flippin lenses around.I really like taking pictures of wildlife and scenery so either i would have to buy a very expensive zoom lens or carry 2 (at least)lenses with me at all times.after studying magazines and talking to various people with top of the range digi cameras of various makes (Fuji,Samsung, kodak etc.)I decided on the FZ28.
May i...

28" Nicam Widescreen for £299?
Advantages: Price, Price, Price and does everything a good telly should
Disadvantages: Really can't think of any.
...I had been on the lookout for a new telly for a while, and whilst out shopping in Tescos saw some really good offers. They do a Bush conventional 28" TV for £199! I'm sorry, but that is fantastic value.
However, the one I wanted was the £299 widescreen version. And that's the one I got. It's big, black, and has a nice design. Considering the next cheapest widescreen was almost double the price, where was the catch?
Well, I still haven't found it.
The TV doesn't come with a stand, but as they do the same TV with a stand for more money (£369 I think,) this isn't a problem. In fact it's nice to be given the choice. All other widescreens seem to have stands included (and thus you're forced to pay.)
The picture quality is very good, and you can choose the format of the picture with the touch of a button. Widescreen 16:9 (as...

The Queen on .tv!
Advantages: layout, design, information, photos
Disadvantages: /
...I would say there are six websites that I could not live without. I would not say that it is a mixed bag of sites - it is either money making related or media related. One of these media related websites is the official website of my greatest inspiration in life. She is such a wonderful person, and a perfect role model. Who is this woman? Of course, it's Andrea McLean!
If you for some reason do not know who Andrea McLean is, then I am a tiny bit offended! She was a long running weather girl for GMTV, only to give up that post a few months back. She is now the main anchor of ITV daytime chat show phenomenon Loose Women, a job I would kill for. She is one of the most amazing TV Presenters around, and has such a wonderful personality. The day I met her was one of the most amazing days of my life, a moment I will treasure forever. She...

28 Days Later
Advantages: Differant ending and can be quite imaginative in places
Disadvantages: an average film
...Ok, so im writing this review just because I can and im slightly bored with nothing else to review (yet).
Set on the island of great Britain, this post apocolyptic survival horror wass directed by Danny Boyle and released 2002 and spawned the sequel 28 weeks later in 2007. The film is about a virus that rapidly spreads through Britain with in 28 days (coincidence?ï??)
The story begins with a group of British Animal rights activists breaking into and animal research centre to release captive chimpanzees but are warned by a worker that they are infected by some thing he refers to as ?rage? but as you could get they release the chimp which subsequently attacks and infects the people which of course then break out and infect the rest of the population.
The scene cuts out and we then see a young man, Jim, who wakes up from a coma to...

28 Days Later ... the infected are here!
Advantages: Frity British horror film
Disadvantages: None
...***Why I watched 28 days later***
As I true horror fan I always try to watch new film releases. Unfortunately for me my partner does not share my enthusiasm so most of the time I only end up watching the film when they are released on dvd.
I love the original zombie style horrors so when I read a review about a new British post-apocalyptic horror film by director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, The Beach) I flew down to the video shop to rent it.
***The cast***
Cillian Murphy as Jim (Red Eye, Batman: The Dark Knight)
Naomie Harris as Selena (Pirates of the Caribbean, Miami Vice)
Brendan Gleeson as Frank (Harry Potter films, Bowulf)
Megan Burns as Hannah (Liam)
Noah Huntley as Mark (Emmerdale, Holby City)
Christopher Eccleston as Major Henry West (Cracker, Doctor Who)
***28 Days Later***
The film kicks of with a team of animal rights...

CODE RED - 28 WEEKS LATER -
Advantages: Brilliant direction, photography, music, and acting.
Disadvantages: Pretty gory!
...◘► Released in 2007 under the Science Fiction/Horror Genre. 28 Weeks Later is a higher budget, post apocalyptic sequel to the International film success of 28 Days Later which was released in 2002. 28 Weeks Later picks up where the last story left off. Though not a direct sequel, 28 Weeks features a different set of people, in similar circumstance. Director Danny Boyle was unable to direct 28 Weeks, due to other work commitments, but became Executive Producer on this film, and he hired Juan Carlos Fresnadillo as Director, after seeing his work on the 2001 film 'Intacto'. This would be Juan's first time directing an English language film. Boyle did keep in touch though by becoming 2nd unit Director. There is also an entirely new cast on 28 Weeks Later, and plans have been made to create a third chapter, and make this film...

Excellent Flat-Screen TV
Advantages: Flat Screen, Great picture and sound quality
Disadvantages: Wish there are more sockets
...When my 8-year old rounded?screen television set started to produce unnecessary green and purple colours, I decided to get another telly. Though I wanted to get keep that old TV for sentimental reasons, the distorted colour made me want to throw it out of the window at times. I wanted to save that television set anyway so I had it checked by a technician and he diagnosed it with a damaged picture tube so I ended up ordering SonyKV28FS20.
When the television set arrived, I was surprised with the very huge box. The two delivery men did have a hard time getting it out from the delivery van and into my house. When the box was opened, I was amazed with that big pretty TV. A rabbit antenna, a remote control and a multi-language user manual were in the box too.
SET UP
Set up was easy once the SonyKV28FS20 is installed. I just...

Matsui 28WV2N - 28" Widescreen NICAM Stereo TV
Advantages: Value for money.
Disadvantages: No 14:9 support.
...I bought this television because, in my opinion, it represented the best compromise between features, picture quality, and (most importantly) price. It cost me £450.00 back then, which might not seem all that cheap now, what with every budget label under the sun having widescreen models for well under £300 (in fact Matsui now make a 32" T.V with Dolby Pro-logic for the same price), but for the time it was still quite a surprise. Investigate a little and you'll discover that this T.V was originally manufactured by Grundig, and is internally identical to one which they sell for about £550-ish - proving once and for all that you only really pay for the name. In fact, if you were to go for a Panasonic or Sony (for example) for this money, you'd be forced to stick to 24" at best. Interestingly enough, you can also get a Bush based around...
