...I am a happy member of the O2 community and have been for a number of years. In January this year I thought I would treat myself to a new phone (belated xmas pressie to me!) and stray away from my usual Nokia make and be a bit more loyal to the O2 company.
We were up in Lincoln visiting relatives and there was an O2 store within the shopping centre and I saw this O2X2 mobile phone and instantly fell in love with it.
What first attracted me to it was the fact that it was a flip phone (I had never before had a flip phone) and that the front of the phone was made up of a mirror (perfect for checking the lippie). Both me and my boyfriend decided to buy one that day and I rather wish we hadn't.
The phone itself does look really good as it is all in silver and the front bit will illuminate to show either the time or caller...

Review of O2X2
Advantages: Small, Stylish Design, Good Sounds, Some good features Disadvantages: Poor Camera quality, lack of accessories, ringtones etc
...I bought the O2X2 last year (October 2004) for £129.99 at The Link in my local town. I wanted a clamshell design phone with a few features that was small as I am quite small myself! I bought it on the same tariff that I was using at the time which is the O2 PAYG tariff with 300 free text per month and 300 free WAP minutes - though you have to top up by £10 per month in order to keep your free texts, I have found this to be a good value tariff for me as I spend a lot on text but not a great deal on calls and I find it reassuring to know that I can text as much as I like without have to worry about the cost.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* FEATURES~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The O2X2 includes the following features:
Integrated VGA digital camera (640 x 480 pixels)
Dual display with 65,000 colour 128 x 128 pixel internal display and OLED outer...

Review of O2X2
Advantages: easy to use Disadvantages: very slow to use, easily damaged, not much memory, bad camera quality.
...The o2X2, at a first glance is a stylish and breathes elegance, the mirror on the front is a womans dream and can become very useful, as you flip open the phone it again fails to unimpress as the buttons glow blue and the screen has good quality graphics.
The menu is easily accessable and the view can be changed to however the user desires.
The first option on the menu is to open the messages folder, once in you can choose whether you use your multimedia messaging or the usual sms, the maximum no of messages mine has held so far is 320 however this number can depend on how many photos you have saved as the phone runs on one memory system which can become annoying at times. Writing and sending any type of message is quite easy however not as easy as the nokia or siemans but it holds its own!.
The phone is also wap enabled, and you can...

Review of O2X2
Advantages: A lot of messages can be stored Disadvantages: Not many features or much image memory
...I bought this phone in August 2004 and loved the cute, neat and stylish look of it at the beginning. The 500 message capacity is a bonus and the contacts storage is very accessbile and everything is generally easy to use and work. It also has very easy access to O2 Active at the touch of a button, which is a definite plus. However, as time progressed, I began to feel less satisfied with the product. The lack of features i.e. no infrared, bluetooth or music player is quite frustrating and the quality of the camera is quite poor, especially as the memory to store the photos is very limited. After a year of ownership, my phone began to be very slow and switched itself off frequently and the battery life dramatically decreases over time. The most frustrating thing about this phone is the lack of ringtones and games available since it...

Review of O2X2
Advantages: Looks very nice, does basic things (sometimes) Disadvantages: sadly, too too many; freezing, texts ending up costing the earth, short battery life, etc...
...I got this phone last January, and at the beginning I found it ok to use, no major problems. Made calls ok, sent texts, did what you would expect. It was after a while I started realising a few problems. This phone looks very nice, and for £120 you would expect a decent phone.
However, the many MANY problems I have had with this blimmin' phone strongly outweigh the advantages (not that there are many in my opinion) :
1)The phone freezes when about to receive a text so you have to stop what you are doing, be it writing a text, setting alarm whatever, until the text comes.
2)The memory is small, so when your message boxes are full (which comes as a complete surprise, at least it did to me, after reading in the manual it can store 400 texts), you have to delete messages or else you are constantly displayed with an annoying message...

Review of O2X2
Advantages: Stylish looking, compact, internal and external mirrors Disadvantages: battery life depreciation, picture quality
...After many years of buying cheap and basic functioning phones, I realised it was merely a false economy , so decided to invest in a mid range phone that not only had the latest up to date features but a bit of style too !
So, after much browsing I decided on the O2X2. I have always been on O2 pay as you go and as there was an O2 shop just up the road this seemed like an ideal choice as I would also have customer service on my doorstep which would save on any calls to O2 should I experience any problems.
I paid £126 for this phone in October 2004, you can get them from £90 now from most phone stores, electrical retailers and from Argos.
As I have said, this is a stylish looking clamshell phone, in silver with an external aerial. One of the first things you notice is that the front of the phone is also a mirror, very handy for us...

Review of O2X2
Advantages: Small compact, clamshell - really great design! Disadvantages: No infrared or bluetooth
...store about 500 contacts on and 500 text messages. Don't hold out to store loads of pictures though - you will find that the 1 megabyte can be used up very easily.
The ringtones are of outstanding quality - this is a feature that made me go for this model. The polyphonic tones sound very clear and unlike many phones are of a good volume so you never miss that call. The O2X2 also has a very strong vibrate on it so if you've put it to silent you still again, won't miss that important call.
The chrome paint can easily be rubbed off so you do need to be careful not to have it in your pocket or handbag with keys or coins as it will chip but the plus side is that it is a very sturdy phone, the flip design can sometimes look flimsy however it has certainly been well made so can handle a bit of roughness when in use.
I only have...

...Well.. it's been a while since I last made a review, so, here goes...
The background

A while ago my old phone started playing up and I decided that enough was enough. Last week after some deliberation, I decided on the O2X2 phone.
The phone's design - outside
22222222222222222222222
The phone has a clamshell design, a feature I found something I was keen on - I feel that small phones can have a lot of echo as the speaker is too far away from the mouth. With this phone opening the flip makes it twice the height and the size thing isn't a problem.
The phone is also designed to incorporate a mirror on both the front of the phone and the inside. The outside display tells you the time and can also scroll with a number of different images. The display will also tell you if you have an incoming call (and...

Review of O2X2
Advantages: Town runabout Disadvantages: Quirky looks
...From my earlier review some of you will know that I drive a lumbering 4x4. Whilst exceptionally comfortable and pleasurable to drive long distance , it is neither really practical nor economic for around the town.. Enter the Suzuki Ignis 1.3 GL which fits this bill almost perfectly. The model I am reviewing was purchased new (heavily discounted) in October 2007 for the sum of £6500, on the road, with 3 years free service and warranty. Happily we did not have to trade a vehicle in so at least one side of the haggling palaver was avoidable.
"Ignis"..that's Latin for 'fire'
Please don't expect too much from under the bonnet. After all this is only a front wheel drive 1.3litre 16 valved four cylinder petrol driven engine made from aluminum ,which develops some 83 brake horsepower. More than adequate for around the town...

Review of Suzuki Ignis 1.3
Advantages: tidies up clutter Disadvantages: its plastic
...I recently bought a 2x2 pine multi toy unit from Argos. I needed/wanted to have a storage unit to store all the grand children's toys in as I was getting fed up with clutter all around after they had gone home.
This 2x2 unit costs £44.99p available in Argos stores or on line at http://www.argos.co.uk. This toy store unit is also available in larger sizes. 3x3 or 2x3 or an L shaped unit with 6 spaces.
I also purchased some blue and red plastic boxes to fit into the unit as these do not come with it.
Ok so I walked/ struggled a bit (could really have done with hubbies help a bit) out of our local Argos with this unit it comes flat packed.
Getting the unit home I was eager to erect it. I undid the card box found the instructions and read those first. I then took out all of the pieces from the box and checked they were all...
