...Outback BBQ's look amazing when you buy them but after a couple of years you realise they are made of impressively heavy but extremely cheap materials. Despite using a cover, regular cleaning and storage over winter rust set in and last week whilst having a BBQ the paint work around the cooking area caught fire - and we're talking major flames here - just to make it clear it wasn't fat but the paint which has now all been stripped off????? My burners have also rusted through and need replacing and the hood is also starting to rust. I thought it was just me but have subsequently spoken with friends who have had similar problems. If you want something that's nice to look at buy one - if you want one that lasts - don't bother. I'm off to buy a new BBQ and it won't be an Outback.... Read review

Advantages: Excellent cooking times, stylish and easy to move around. Excellent value for Money
Disadvantages: There is not any I can find (Maybe that it does not come assembled!!)

...This barbecue is by far the best BBQ I have ever bought and was the best value I could find after many hours trawling the internet. It is relatively easy to assemble, it comes in two boxes and I assembled most of it myself within about 45mins and only required some help lifting the actual BBQ unit and hood.It came with a raincover which is a great advantage and worth £40 roughly. The BBQ cooks food very well, even heat and comes with a warming shelf which is handy when cooking for alot of people. There is one flat bed and two grills over coals. The BBq also comes with a rottisserie unt which is a great advantage, offering a different way to cook than just normal BBQ food. It comes with a unit that attaches to the side to turn the rottisserie run by batteries. As the BBQ is on wheels it makes it wasy to move around and has a shelf... Read review

Advantages: Small, Compact, Lightweight, Affordable.
Disadvantages: Get's a bit hot when cooking.

...spirit is used on this cooking set. The spirit is poured into the burner and simplt set alight. A large flame burns centrally and can be reduced in size by applying the sliding lid device. The windshield has 3 arms that extend towards the middle of the burner allowing the pots and pans to sit directly above the flame. The Set contains the following to cook with - - 16cm Saucepan - 18cm Saucepan - 17cm Frying Pan - Small Pan Handle (for use with all pans) - Kettle The use of Methylated Spirit means that you don't need to lug a heavy gas canister around with you. Or repeatedly pay out for replacement canisters. On my last trip, we took a 500ml bottle of Meths with us, and we used it up in 2 days. 500ml costs around £1.98. Advantages: Great for small BBQ partys
Disadvantages: Hard to build

...on the left hand side so you can move it more easily.(this wheels are hard plastic) The colour of the unit is black and evergreen and comes flat packed that is very heavy to carry the box does have carrying handles to make life a little bit easier.We had to use another trolley while getting our shopping. If you were to buy this BBQ I would give yourself at least 3 hours before you wish to use it.(as it is very time consuming and stressful) I would love to sit here all day but am now going back into the garden to fill up the 10 ft pool we got today so stay tuned I will let you know how I got on........ ...Summer is here - hooray I hear you say. And all across Britain you can see pale individuals honing their gardening shears, rolling out the inflatable swimming pools and de-cob webbing the BBQ's. At our house, we are no exception. The sun burn is evidence that my last week end was spent entirely outside in the garden to prepare for the BBQ arranged for my hubbys birthday on Wednesday. He decided he wanted to invite a few (30!) friends and relatives around for a Barbie on his birthday. Which meant a lot of stress for me. Thankfully the meal planning is fairly straight forward - anything he can burn and just stick sauce on top is all I had to buy from the supermarket. So it was veggie burgers, meat patties and bread buns. Since it is mainly the sauce that actually gives our BBQ food any flavour except charcoal I had to choose the sauces... Read review

Advantages: portable, light, cheap and great for camping
Disadvantages: they are not meant for heavy cooking

...all the burning within it , although we do try to put it on a bit of scraped earth. The cooking area is plenty big enough for 2 being approximately 14 by 10 in so you can fit a couple of decent steaks and a pack of sausages on it. It’s easy to light, although at first it flares up a bit and is quite fierce. We stick a small pot of water on top of it at this point to boil up and stick it in a flask, by the time this is done BBQ is ready for the food, put it on too quick and it will burn. The BBQ will burn for around 20 minutes so there’s plenty of time. There’s usually enough heat left to get some more hot water for some coffee at the end. The water in the flask is for the morning.The foil tray just wraps round any rubbish and pops back in one of the packs to be chucked away somewhere on the way home These BBQs are about £7... I like barbequing meat in particular, I like the aroma pf it being flamed grilled and I also like the smell to be outside as much as possible. We use ours all year round. It stands on the patio a few steps from the back door so it’s nice and handy. Because we don’t really put ours away it needs to be durable. It also needs to be fairly small 2 burners is fine. ...I have one of these BBQ's and it's served us well over the years. I am a firm believer that a successful BBQ experience is 75% down to the 'chef' and 25% on the design/shape/performance of the BBQ. Lets face it, you're only heating food on a grill above hot coals - you get the same result regardless of how much the BBQ cost, what it looks like, who made it etc. If you're a die hard BBQer then I suspect you'll have/need a gas BBQ as they do produce better cooking results than coals. But for me, half the fun of a BBQ is lighting the fire, waiting for the coals to burn and even experimenting with different woods and coals to get different flavoured smoke into your food. So for me, a coal BBQ wins. This particular BBQ is a nice design, shape and size and has been the benchmark for all BBQ's for years. It is easy to move around due... Read review

Advantages: Quick, easy, practical with English weather!
Disadvantages: More time to get drunk and forget about the food

...I have cooked on quite a few BBQ's for various functions, parties and family get togethers and have to say that this is without a doubt the best of the lot. There is one thing about electric BBQ's that you can never have with normal charcoal BBQ's and that is absolute control over the temperature! People argue that some of the flavour is lost when you use an electrical BBQ, but that is not true in this case, with this BBQ you still get the exact same flavours as you would otherwise. The difference is though you will not get burnt bits on any of your cooking, because you can turn the heat down when ever you want to, all at the touch of a button. The only problem with electric BBQ's is the price, they are a lot more expensive than charcoal ones to buy initially, but if you think about it, once you have it you only have to pay... Read review
