PS3 slim

Advantages: Blu-ray, free online, nice extras like vidzone & iplayer. Almost silent operation
Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live

...Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis). Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD. Sound-Yeah, ok...

3.2 Megapixel Camera?!

Advantages: Fantastic image quality, good overall performance, nice stereo bluetooth audio
Disadvantages: Limited internal memory, quite easy to use, joystick can become quite dodgy

...Background - Although its a successor to its predecessor, the K750i it has a 3.2 megapixel camera with Xenon Flash, a burst mode and photo blogging! Imaging - The k800i shoots exceptionally great still pictures with its autofocus and accurate colours. It may not take fantastic pictures in poorly lit conditions but is quite decent with its xenon flash. There is minimal defficiency between each shot take and its high resolution screen. There's also the fact of the BestPic burst mode which snaps 9 stills over a span of a second! It also has photo blogging which hassle free of posting to Google's blogger service, sharing and printing is quite straightforward. Calling - Although its signal reception is a tad bit ideal, it handles video and audio superbly, including its loudspeaker with good bluetooth support and fast camera switching...

...My mate has had this phone since christmas and thinks its th best phone he has had yet. The phone itself is very stylish and is made by one of the top mobile phone making companies sony ericsson where all top phones come from. He really love the 3.2 megapixel camera as we went on a trip to liverpool so he took some pictures and they were superb. He also loves that the phone has bluetooth so we can send songs to each other free of charge. The phoine itself has a wide range of features for example it wicked 3g calling to all his mates, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and xenon flash as well as 16x zoom. Also we like to rap which is good as the phone has a voice recorder. We also think its really good as it has an mp3 player so when he is on his way to college he can listen to his favourite tracks or watch his favourite videos...

Playstation 3 Great Product

Advantages: Useful, Multimedia Functions, Entertaining, Internet
Disadvantages: Does have the odd problems mostly HDMI issues.

Advantages: Cheap Blu-Ray player, great graphics, free wifi, internet browser
Disadvantages: Expensive, some games are better on 360, 40 GB model doesn't have backwards compatability

...There are probably 3 categories of consumer: (1) Gamers with a HD TV who are also quite interested in the multimedia/blue ray angle. (2) Serious gamers either without a HD TV or who are not interested in high def for films etc.. (3) HD TV/ multimedia people who are not that interested in games. If you are in (1) or (3) categories then this is a bargain at the moment. One of the cheapest/best blue ray players with constant support. Now upscales dvds and supports divx etc.. Supports the very latest version of blu ray and is future proof. Sony can not afford to have this fail and the constant updates are great and frequent. Also of advantage (over other systems) are: Low failure rate, built in wifi (even on 40 gb model), no external plug, no external hd-dvd (blu ray built in), no annual online fees. To PS3 or not to PS3?

Advantages: An amazing machine, expandable, some great features
Disadvantages: Expensive (but for a reason), almost internet reliant, no browser security

...I have a rather annoying habit. I tend to collect games consoles. The problem with this is threefold. It's expensive, Buggy (she who must be obeyed, but rarely is) doesn't like the fact that the bedroom where they all live and we sleep has more lights flashing than the average xmas tree and the one that's most annoying is I rarely play any games. I can't justify them, and I'm not even going to attempt to, although I managed to state a convincing argument about having a blu-ray player at the time. I did have a PS3 from the day they first came out (I get some great freebies with my job), but due to a slight moment of clumsiness I killed the original so decided to buy another one so this review is for the now standard 40Gb version.
