3 Pay monthly contract: A positive experience

Advantages: Good coverage, Lots of anytime, any network free minutes, great free phone
Disadvantages: none

...I joined 3 (pay monthly) from T-Mobile pay as you go 6 months back. I am completely satisfied with their service, the free phone and the tariff. I think they provide one of the cheapest tariffs. Yet the service is very good. I used the phone in South, South-East and South West region and never had any coverage issue. I went to Scotland for a few days and did not have any coverage problem there either. It works fine even in fast moving train/bus/car. I can also browse internet or send MMS (by paying extra as these are not included in the free time) without any problem. I pay £15 for free 500 minutes anytime any network talk time and 100 any network texts. I had to sign a 12 month contract. I also got a fantastic Motorola Razor V3 phone free with this connection. I heard from my 3 user friends that they offer new free phone...

3 Months Spanish without the CDs

Advantages: Good value for money and thorough with practice exercises.
Disadvantages: Frightening for the non-academic student and no CDs are included.

In terms of the book itself, Hugo Spanish in 3 months should have 'Basic' in the title as it teaches you enough to get you started but to be fair, it does state 'Beginner's CD Language Course' on the front of the box. If you have never learnt Spanish or know some basic words, then this product may be for you - it's certainly more in depth than a phrase book. The contents are split into 13 weeks with week 1 starting with the alphabet pronunciation, articles, genders and subject pronouns and the following weeks working through numerous verbs, past, present and future tenses, adjectives and varius grammatical pronouns. If you were never any good at understanding the meaning of 'subjective pronoun' and 'absolute superlatives' then just looking at the contents would put you off. However, the book does explain...

Advantages: Blu-ray, free online, nice extras like vidzone & iplayer. Almost silent operation
Disadvantages: Rubbish controller, still expensive, online nowhere near as good as xbox live

...Well, had the slim for a few weeks now (my 1st ever playstation), personally, I'm a little underwhelmed by it, I've been a gamer since the nintendo game & watch days & owned @ least 1 of the current gen consoles since the Mega Drive(Genesis). Graphically the system has the potential to wipe the floor with the 360, but this is really only going to apply to PS3 exclusives as any software house making a multi-platform game is going to be as cost effective (lazy) as possible & use the same graphics on all the games where possible(ok, they need to dumb them down for the Wii). My problem here is that I have yet to get a game for it that runs in 1080P, they all seem to be in 720P! Why???? I'm sure they are out there, but I haven't found one yet. I guess this is down to most HD tv's being HD ready rather than Full HD. Sound-Yeah, ok...

Sony release a firmware every month that fixes bugs and enables new features and these can be acquired through system update. Now there have been some cool development by Sony as they have increased functionality by releasing firmware's that have added DVD/PS1/PS2 upscale. The upscale have been great as the DVDs look much sharper and the games too. Sony has also released a firmware that added themes which is great as you can make it look different to what you like. To get the themes you can either download them from the internet or PS3 store. Future Firmware includes listening to music while playing a game which is currently not possible but due to release hopefully soon. The updates are about 100mb takes me less than 1 minute to download as I have 16mb broadband. But it...

(2) Serious gamers either without a HD TV or who are not interested in high def for films etc.. (3) HD TV/ multimedia people who are not that interested in games.
