...Hi there ! We own the new verson of the kef KHT 3005 whats known as the SE version(we used to have the old model). The new version is a vast improvement on the old model with the addition of the new tangerine tweeter. Power handling also seems to have improved. They fill the room with rich deep base from the new HTB2 sub woofer and they look absolutely fantastic ! We managed to get them at a fantastic price from The brotherhood of sound in Chesterfield at almost £200 off the RRP. It is noted that we are using Hi def audio from the new onkyo 875 receiver and from the PS3 blue ray movies are incredible! Overall well worth the money!!!!...

High quality speaker system for a high price.

...The KEF KHT 3005 is a 5.1 surround sound speaker system, which consists of one large subwoofer and 5 individual speakers. Subwoofers simply allow you to playback low bass frequencies at high levels. Without a subwoofer you may not be able to listen to some sound from a video or an audio program or file. All KEF speaker systems including this one use Uni-Q technology in order to produce high-quality and concentrated levels of audio output. The single Subwoofer and the 5 individual loudspeakers (tweeters) work together as a single audio output source so that sound is dispersed equally around the entire room. The subwoofer and the individual loudspeakers interlink their sound output to cover the entire room in order to allow experience of sound from anywhere in the room. Top Notch Laser Printer for the Office

Advantages: Fast, Robust, HP Customer Support, High page yield, Serviceable
Disadvantages: Expensive official toners, Could be a bit more user friendly

...The HP LaserJet P3005N is an A4 black and white laser printer meant for office use. The company I work for had decided to standardise all printers to cut costs on toners and so they didn?t need to buy so many different toners. The main printer in use was the HP LaserJet 2420N but this was discontinued and superseded by the HP LaserJet P3005 printers so I decided on this one. The P3005 printers come in several flavours. There?s the P3005 (no network), P3005N (with network) and P3005DN (duplex, with parallel connection and network). All of them have a USB connection. The P3005N costs £436.98 at Dabs.com, with the DN version costing slightly more and I replaced four printers with P3005N?s across several sites. The printer has two paper trays. The main tray can hold 600 sheets of paper, which is one ream of 500 sheets of paper...

Shame I'm not this Multifunctional

Advantages: Superb quality, ease of installation, Web based support info
Disadvantages: A bit slow, Network install of printer doesnt always work

...impressed with them, however this one has changed my opinion. The printer, scanning and faxing is extremely east to do on the device and the setup was also simple. This device is also lowest priced colour laser multifunction printer. My only slight concerns are that if this printer is used in an office environment then it may suffer with speed issues. BRILLIANT PRINTER - dodgey drivers though

Advantages: Fast + easy to use!
Disadvantages: Drivers are incorrect

...The printer is a joy to work with - its reliable, quiet and does pretty much what it says on the tin. I have had no problems working with this on the network but I have encountered a few long issues when I want to print via USB. Although I install the drivers from the CD supplied, it takes over an hour to install the DOT4 drivers. I telephoned HP Customer Support and they said "you need to wait for 2 hrs for the printer drivers to install" - I have never heard anything of the sort so I waited two hours - only to find that my computer crashed and rebooted itself. I managed to use the drivers I had on my server for the p3005 and that worked fine. Other than that this printer is extremely good, reliable and a treat to use....

C'Mon Print Dammit...C'Mon..........

Advantages: Cheap, Good After Sales Support, Small Footprint
Disadvantages: Slow, Poor Memory Capacity, Tendency To Act Like A Sulking Child

...... Now, I work in IT and 90% of the documents I poduce are PDF's, so this really isn't a viable solution. The print quality itself isn't too bad, pretty standard for an MFP and the toners do have about 2500 pages in them. There are two options of toner, 2500 pages and 4000 pages at 5% toner coverage. It only has a 250 sheet feeder tray, but that is stuffing it full. I can only get about 100 pages in and still expect it to print properly without throwing a hissy fit and chewing up a couple of pieces of paper. Changing the toner is also quite laborious since you have to lift the scanner unit up, unclip both sides and then unclip and remove the toner, then reverse the process to install the new one. Don't even try to fix a paper jam without the aid of a screwdriver, quantum physics manual and mystery vortex. Scanning & Copying...

An alternative to storing negatives & slides

Disadvantages: It's a dedicated film scanner, so not very versatile.

.... Setting up is quite simple, although there will be problems if you have another scanner connected to your computer. In this case the Plustek scanner will not be detected by its software, and will be totally unavailable. This applies if you have a multi-function printer with a scanner. It also applies if you have a network scanner or multifunction device not connected to your computer. Having the availability of another scanner is enough to upset the Plustek. I got around this by declaring the network MFP scanner unavailable in "my computer" "hardware". Both scanners are now usable.
