...Intel's Pentium 4 CPU pipeline length is 30. A longer pipeline lets CPUs be clocked at higher speeds, but this generally causes performance problems. You see, CPUs like to predict what future instructions will become available and the longer the pipeline, the further ahead the prediction is. If a CPU gets an instruction prediction wrong, it has to retrace its steps and correct the incorrect prediction/s that it made. With Intel's CPU, the long pipeline leads to the CPU backtracking a lot more than AMD's CPU, and that time spent backtracking means AMD's CPU can get up to twice as much done in the same time. Well, in you understood that then you should understand that this AMD Athlon 64 3500+ CPU is a rather fast CPU by AMD. A very efficient, cool running the silent CPU, in my opinion it is a great CPU worth the money asked for it...

A lot of families have storage problems my main pain in the backside is lack of room for excess bedding that i keep spare for guests and what not, So this is magnificent, how the air can be sucked out of the bag with any pipe vacuum cleaner and reduce the size of package to less than a quarter of the size. Storage For The Masses

...one thing it doesn't support (or at least with me) is a Vista function called ReadyBoost. If you don't know what it is then don't worry about it as you probably don't use it. It's usually used with flash RAM devices anyway. It's spin speed is around 7200RPM so it's not exactly slow and has a seek time of around 9ms so accessing files is pretty quick. On the transfer stakes it does a good job. I can transfer a 1.5gb movie file in around 1 minute 30 seconds, and small files are also just as fast. It's also helped by the fact that it's USB 2.0 so the theory is you can transfer 480Mb per second. So what's the downside of it? Well first up, as I said, it's grey. ...I have recently purchased the Nokia 3500 Classic (in pink) and thought I'd give you my first thoughts and feelings on the phone. Hopefully I wont have to change my opinions as the phone gets older! The 3500 is a well made phone, and reminds me slightly of the iPhone in appearance (but at a fraction of the cost!) I bought mine from Carphone Warehouse for £69.99, although I did have to purchase £10 credit. The features the 3500 boasts include Bluetooth, MP3 player, Video recorder, PTT (push to talk - like a walkie talkie) and 2MP camera. The quality of the camera is not quite as clear as previous Sony Ericssons I've had - but it does the job when you're on the go.
