Sony 40T3500 LCD TV HD Ready

Advantages: Great picture
Disadvantages: It's black !

...Had this TV for 3 months now and mounted it on the wall above our electric fire. Not sure why all TVs seem to be black again as it stands out a bit in our decor ! Still an easy TV to set up - got it linked to a Sony DVD recorder/ Sony Cinema system and Nintendo Wii. Fantastic picture from the DVD as it upscales and the Wii is very clear using the composite connections. Sound is very good although I usually route it through the Home cinema. Not used the tuner as I have SKY which can tend to be a bit grainy depending on the channel but all in all an excellent TV and up to the usual faultless Sony quality. I have always sworn by Sony and still will for years to come....

The Classic Nokia 3500

Advantages: Cheap, Design, Useability,

...I have recently purchased the Nokia 3500 Classic (in pink) and thought I'd give you my first thoughts and feelings on the phone. Hopefully I wont have to change my opinions as the phone gets older! The 3500 is a well made phone, and reminds me slightly of the iPhone in appearance (but at a fraction of the cost!) I bought mine from Carphone Warehouse for £69.99, although I did have to purchase £10 credit. The features the 3500 boasts include Bluetooth, MP3 player, Video recorder, PTT (push to talk - like a walkie talkie) and 2MP camera. The quality of the camera is not quite as clear as previous Sony Ericssons I've had - but it does the job when you're on the go. The simple layout of the 3500 is very simple to use and understand - which I think is common with Nokias. The screen resolution is quite low compared to other phones...

Advantages: Great picture for an LCD, good home cinema

...This is my first flat-screen TV, and I was very impressed with the quality. It was bought to accommodate the new Sky HD package, and the color quality is superb. The black-level performance is excellent for an LCD television, which is one of this televisions strongest points. The 120Hz processing of the television smooths out any motion problems that some TVs have. For an LCD, the screen uniformity and off-angle viewing is outstanding. Other good points include the numerous picture controls, and the solid connectivity with three HDMI inputs and one PC input. The design of this television is very good also, and it will fit nicely into any living room style that you have. ...I still live with my parents and this is the TV magazine that they buy. I don't see the point in buying another TV magazine just for me. I read this magazine more than I actually watch the television. Due to exams, drama, sign language and ciao I don't watch very much television. However, every now and then I do sit down and watch an episode of Eastenders or Coronation Street, with my mam. I don't need to watch every episode to know what is going on. Apart from the fact that usually nothing much is happening, I can read the TV quick to catch up. TV Quick come out weekly and costs 70p. We get it delivered from our local newsagents with our newspaper. We usually get it on the Tuesday, before the TV listings in the magazine starts. Casio WK3500 packs in the features!!

Advantages: lightweight, good sound through speakers, loads of features

...I've owned this keyboard for approx 2 years now. Its been played at gigs a few times and also thrown in the back of the car many more times! Its now not my main keyboard but is still regularly used. Styling and cosmetics The design and styling of the keyboard is a little cheap looking. It feels very plastic and light. A feature of expensive keyboards is their heaviness. Probably not a good indicator of their quality although many would say the same thing! The WK3500 is very light for the size and feels a little vulnerable to knocks. Although i have to say its been played in many packed pubs and never let me down so what do i know! My TV Guide Of Choice.

Advantages: only 30p - not anymore it's now 33p
Disadvantages: not all digital channels listed

...First of all I will state that there are no plot spoilers included in this review although there may be mention of new series starting in the week that I am reviewing this magazine for. I promise not to give anything away though and if I do you have my permission to slap my bottom. Hang on though I may enjoy that!!! Back to the review. I don't really buy many newspapers - it's not that I don't keep up to date with the news - I just prefer to watch it on TV or look online to find out what is going on in the world. I also pop in to see my mum every day as her house is close to the school where my daughter's attend and it beats trying to find a space outside the gates, as well as getting the chance for a cuppa and a gossip. She buys a local newspaper so I'm able to have a quick look at that to find anything going on in the area...
