Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) & XBOX 360
Advantages: Excellent to use and play with...
Disadvantages: The price..
...There has been so much arguments over which console is better the PS3 or the XBOX 360. I looked into which console has what features and their way of communicating to the audience. Also which console has the better online game play and their prices. First I?ll be explaining the functions and features of the SONY PLAYSTATION 3 and then the functions and features of the XBOX 360.
SONY PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3)
There is more then one version of the PS3 in the UK. They vary from £300 to £399, some contain a 40GB hard drive and others go to 60 or even 80GB and can connect with or without wires to the internet for online game play. PLAYSTATION® Network is free and enables you to play online game play for free and surf the internet without having a computer. The consol has USB ports for connecting external devices such as cameras, MP3 players...

Xbox 360
Advantages: Great graphics and Gameplay
Disadvantages: Not as good as a Wii for family play.
...Being a playstation boy I've never bothered with the Xbox, however through boredom and impulse I found myself buying an Xbox 360 one day.
To coin a Carlsberg phrase, the 360 is probably the best console around. The graphics are second to none and until sony can get to grip with what they really want out of the PS3 the 360 will remain streets ahead.
It is available from around £180 upwards depending on system and game bundles you purchase with it with again leaves it extremely better priced than the PS3. The controller whilst more bulky than sony controllers fits nicely in the hand and the rechargeable battery pack is a must get addition.
I would say however that although there is a great variety of games available for the Xbox 360 it is undoubtedly at its greatest when playing shoot 'em up's, games such as Halo 3 and Gears...

Xbox 360
Advantages: Cheaper setup than PS3, better pad, best game selection, xbox live is amazing
Disadvantages: Paying for xbox live (after 3years of live, a PS3 works out cheaper), can be noisey, Wi-Fi is extr
...'t anyone else?), but the D is the part you are least likely to use, everything else on it is perfect! Take note Sony & sort the analoge thumbsticks (wrong place for the left thumb & they should be concave!) & the slippy triggers!
Connecting it to the tv, ok, it comes with the SD connections we have all come to know & component (most TV's wont accept 1080P thru component) but we got a full HD system, so we need HD connections! If you were feeling flush & wen't for the elite model, then you're sorted, microsoft HDMI is included, if like me, you went for the 20GigHDD model, then you need to get your hands on an HDMI, great if your amp takes an HDMI, mine doesn't, still in the days of fibre optics here, only way you can have HDMI & optic out, is to either buy the Microsoft cable (Pricey?), or be a little sneaky, prise open the connection @ the 360...

xbox 360
Advantages: graphics, gameplay
Disadvantages: cost of live subscription
...The microsoft xbox 360 is in my opinion the best games console out there, ultimately enhanced by the superb online gameplay capabilities and magnificient graphics which it has.
It is incredibly easy to use (even my dad can use it) and it is easy to transfer date from a computer to it also.
There is a huge variety of games that can be played on it and the games that can only be played on the xbox 360 (gears of war, halo 3) are better than the games that can only be played on Sony Playstation 3 (Little Big Planet).
Even though the online gameplay costs, (£5 a month if paying monthly) it makes up for it with seriously awesome gameplay compared to PS3 live which is free however not as good.
Another factor that I like about the Xbox 360 is that you can earn achievements when you complete certain missions or find something during...

the xbox 360
Advantages: amazing graphics and has many features
Disadvantages: size and weight
....
Not only does the xbox 360 deal with just the gaming side, but along with the console you can store a large amount of music and photos on the 360 which you can customise your different play lists. It also has a built in wi-fi so you can connect to the net and play against other gamers online, but this can only be done on certain games. There are so many accessories that can accompany the xbox 360, different controllers and all sorts of storage components. Myself as im a very kean racing driver i bought a streering wheel that was compatible to the 360 so i could really get the feeling when using the racing games.
You may have thought now that sony have designed the new slim line ps2 that microsoft would have try to create their new console a little bit smaller, but no the xbox 360 still is about the same size and the same wieght, thats...

Why Choose the 360?
Advantages: HD Gaming, Host of great games, Easy to use, Price is Right
Disadvantages: Backwards Compatability is an issue,
...Xbox 360? PS3? Wii? Its hard to choose which is better in the vastly populated games industry and I can't recall a time that it was this hard. So perhaps now that I own both an Xbox 360 and a Wii I can help your choice.
The Xbox 360, devolped by Microsoft to follow their successful Xbox, is, in my honest opinion, the best console to own for the time. The Xbox 360 was the first to be released and the second cheapest to own making it very attractive. Now that it has been out for quite some time all the bugs that once made it have bad points have been sorted out and worked so you are more then likely to have a console that will last you time and time again.
When compared to the other consoles available such as the Nintendo Wii or Sonys PS3 it can be quite daunting to chose the console thats best for you. The Xbox 360 wins, in my...

360% Brilliance
Advantages: Great Graphics, Great Looks, Great Controller
Disadvantages: Breaks easily - Red Lights of death, Time doesn't stay the same when you turn it off
...I have been thinking about buying an Xbox 360 since it came out and a few weeks ago, I bought one from Game station. I paid £199.99 for the Core Console and a game, this game being Call of Duty 3 (see other review), I thought that this was a very good deal so went for it.
If you are thinking of waiting for the price to go down, don't bother because Microsoft are already losing money on them but are getting the money back by charging high prices for the games.
The basic (CORE) package gets you a XBOX 360 with one pad and the AV connection cables, and a white disc drive
The Premium XBOX 360 package gets you a Multi-AV cable (High Definition component cables), Hard drive (20gb), Wireless Game pad, Communication headset (plugs into the pad) and a silver DVD Drive.
Both of these come with an external power brick that's at least...

XBOX 360
Advantages: Graphics, controllers, games, media storage
Disadvantages: No HDMI cable (although HDMI connectivity)
...The Xbox has been the best system you can buy for about four years, now they have finally come out with the new Xbox 360 witch produces much better graphics. The reason the Xbox was the best was because it can do a lot more than their competitors who created the Playstation 2. The Xbox produces way better graphics, you can download music onto it, it comes with a hard drive built in, you can have four players at once and with the PS2 you can only have two. The Xbox and the PS2 are even the same price, and the PS2 comes out costing more because you have to buy a memory card or you won't be able to save. Memory cards for the PS2 are about twenty dollars.
In my opinion I thought that the Xbox controller was a lot better too. It fits into my hands perfectly and is just so much easier to use than the PS2's controller. There are more...

Brilliance of the Xbox360
Advantages: very cheap, fun, exciting, gives you something to do, community, worth the money
Disadvantages: noisy fans, can get boring, Red ring
...Everyone makes a decission, Xbox or Playstation? Well they are just as good as each other. Personally i pick Xbox, and i have my own Xbox360. The Xbox360 comes in three editions, "Core", "Premium" and finally "Elite". As you can guess Elite is the best, than premium then core. Xbox360 contains HD (High Definition), to give you a more in-game experience.
Xbox360 comes with many games which are only limited to the Xbox360 including, Halo trilogy and Gears Of War 1 & 2. The Xbox360 has its own version of online gaming, called Xbox live. There is Xbox live silver, which lets you talk and message to other online contacts, and to get free demo's from the market place. And there is Xbox Gold, for online playing, ability to join groups, free demo downloads and free communtication. You can get Xbox live either from vouchers or you can buy it...

Xbox 360 - Review
Advantages: Fantastic graphical capability, Support for wireless controllers, looks sleek and sexy
Disadvantages: The Power Brick is well...A Brick, Noisy, Gets very hot.
...The Xbox 360 is Microsofts second attempt at a Games Console and it is their second success.
First and foremost the 360 looks fantastic! it is sleek, sexy and can fit into small spaces. However this does come at a price as the power supply is now external and is a big, ugly BRICK! Yes, a BRICK. Huge and ugly but worth it to power such a beautiful piece of equipment which is a breath of fresh air from its older more ugly sister.
I will not bore you with all the technical information but I will say that it has an extremly powerful Graphics Chip and very powerful hardware ensuring that it pumps out the highest definition graphics that your TV can offer. Yes, thats right, ALL xbox 360 games are recorded in High-Definition and are designed for the HDTV. However if like me you dont have an HDTV the games still look absolutly fantastic...
