3Com OfficeConnect Dual Speed Switch 5
Advantages: Simple, dual speed, small size
Disadvantages: Only 5 ports (?)
...Not much to say about this really. I bought this for a pound (!) on Ebay to connect to my router giving me 4 more ethernet ports to connect stuff to my network. That's all it does, gives you more connection; there's no firewall, DCHP, nothing, but then that's all in my router.
Its 5 autosensing ports (Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX - RJ-45)automatically detect the speed of the attached device to maximize network performance - with a data transfer rate of up to 100 Mbps.
It really was a "plug-and-play" installation with no configuration needed, it connected straight into my network - I didn't even ned to read the manual ! The auto-sensing feature means that you can plug the "in" cable into any socket - another 3Com switch I have has a specific "in" port.
It's nice and small (Weight 0.6 kg, Height 4.2 cm, depth 13.5 cm, Width 22...

3com hubs offer reliability and compatibility
Advantages: Reliable, dual speed compatible, built in management
Disadvantages: Connectors have begun to rust - might cause problems in the future
...Preface
=
When you work so much technology around you, like I do, you begin to learn which technology is more reliable than others - especially when you have to deal with warranties/replacements! Some hardware is appalling, and without mentioning any brand names in this opinion I would say that the monitors that we use are the most unreliable monitors I have every seem. Seriously, we replace one at least every couple of weeks.
But then you get some pieces of hardware, like the 3com Superstack II hub, that you don't even remember exists. It just sits in the corner of my office, doing its job, and just doesn't stop. That is why I'm writing this opinion. This hub deserves recognition for its reliability - as it's a fine piece of kit.
The 3com SuperStack II Dual-speed hub 500...

Switch
Advantages: Fun game for many
Disadvantages: Only when you lose
...The basic method of playing Switch is the same the world over,
although the choice of penalty cards does vary and in doing so
causes untold confusion. I understand that this game has other
names but I don't know what they are.
Switch is a unique game, in that it doesn't follow the whist
or rummy format, nor is it a variation of poker or brag. Any
number can play but if there will be more than about 8
players, an extra pack of cards must be used. Whether the
extra pack of cards has the same design on the back as the
first pack, is irrelevant. The speed of the game is such, that
there shouldn't be time to work out the probability of a
player holding a particular card, based on the difference in
the back of the card.
I have played Switch as man and boy for nigh on half a century
and it makes a nice change from...

* Switching Roles *
Advantages: Great Entertainment , A Fan Must Have
Disadvantages: Hard to tell the twins apart
...the age of nine months old when they shared the role of Michelle Tanner in the American Television show full house. Since then they have appeared in their own television series such as Two Of A Kind and So Little Time as well as their own movies such as Passport To Paris and Our Lips Are Sealed. They also have their own company called Dualstar. They have make up products , Hair products , dolls , clothes , books , DVDs and fragrances. Since around the age of eighteen the girls have been quite quiet on the movie front , and are now considered two separate people rather than one half of twins. Mary-Kate was reportedly dating the actor Heath Ledger around the time of his death. Mary-Kate has suffered from Anorexia Nervosia as well as drug problems. Mary-kate is currently starring without her twin in the film The Wackness.

3Coms
Advantages: Reliable
Disadvantages: Nothing special
...3Com Card
This card is a nice card but when it come to networking cads there is only two things that make a difference one being the speed, you only tend to find three types of network card all at various speeds ranging form 10 mbps then you get a 10/100 mbps and just recently you can now get hold of a 10/100/1000mbps cars that can use any of these three standards.
The card in question will only run at either ten mega bits per second or one hundred mbps depending on you other hard ware so this is something to keep in mind when buying this card. If you are using a Rj45 Crossover network cable linking two machines directly and both cards will work a 10/100 then you will receive a speed of 100mbps but if the other card in the other machine is only running a 10mbps you will only get speed of 10mbps the speed of the slowest card...

MP3.com Rocks
Advantages: best MP3 site that I've visited and easy to use
Disadvantages: Graphics on the site could be improved
...gear and holds auctions. However, I personally would not use the shopping service due to the danger of credit card fraud, which I think is still a threat as, I believe, the security systems used are not entirely full proof.
The site has a search option which makes it very easy to find what you are looking for. It is reguarly updated and so has all the latest releases as well as which it has a news service informing you on the latest happenings in the world of music.
MP3.com also has a developers network and an artists community which allows people in the industry to make contacts and promote products. The Business to Business service offers people business solutions and the site supports a fund raising program which helps schools, churches and non- profit organisations.
So, if you want free music then visit this site NOW!!!!!...

3Com - Mind Blowing Wireless Range!
Advantages: Awesome Value for Money, Great Setup Utility
Disadvantages: Not the best looking object in the world!
...When you purchase an all-in-one solution for broadband in your home these days, you want something that will sit in the background, quietly providing you with fast broadband - whether wired to your desktops, wireless to your laptops or networked to a whole range of bandwidth hungry appliances. You want it to work and you want it to be reliable and of course it must be simple to set-up.
The 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless Router ticks all these requirements. I originally purchased one for a client, and I was surprised at how easy the installation was, especially since they used dreaded AOL! Many manuals for routers are usually of two distinct formats: horrendously complicated jargon-spewing bohemoths aimed at network professionals with accreditation from Cisco, or are partonising pamphlets covering the "perfect" install, which we all know...

Superb Firewall
Advantages: Quick, Eaxplained configuration, specifications
Disadvantages: A bit costly.
...At £1700 this is not the cheapest firewall you can buy. However, 3COM seem to have the ability to make good quality units with minimal fuss. You certainly get what you pay for with this unit. I already have one of these at work and have recently purchased another for an additional office.
First and fore most the Superstack 3 has a good quality durable rack mountable design. Ports and LEDS on the front are clear and readable so there is no confusion in an other wise confusing technical world. The rack mounting kit is actually included with the purchase.
The S3 is managed via a WEB based interface. Connecting at first is easy with a quick read of the manual. The WEB interface is as you would expect, clear understandable and split up in to logical sections. Logging in comes via simple login and password. You get a general summary page...

Rub a dub HUB
Advantages: Enough connectivity for a small office
Disadvantages: Pricy
...3com are a market force in all things Network. As I have discussed im my reviews yesterday, they provide everything you could possibly need to set up and maintain a nework of any size.
While your PC's need a network card to allow them to connect to the outside world, they also need a meeting places for all of their cables and a method of communication.
That is where the hub takes over.
I like to think of the hub as the local telephone exchange. It sits there and reroutes all of your calls to their correct destination. Only with the hub, its computer commands instead of telephone calls.
Obviously, some people need a small hub and some need a slightly bigger hub, depending on their requirements. Luckily, 3com provide a solution and hub size for everyone.
When buying and choosing your hub, always allow for expansion. If you...
