3Com OfficeConnect Dual Speed Switch 5

Advantages: Simple, dual speed, small size
Disadvantages: Only 5 ports (?)

...Not much to say about this really. I bought this for a pound (!) on Ebay to connect to my router giving me 4 more ethernet ports to connect stuff to my network. That's all it does, gives you more connection; there's no firewall, DCHP, nothing, but then that's all in my router. Its 5 autosensing ports (Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX - RJ-45)automatically detect the speed of the attached device to maximize network performance - with a data transfer rate of up to 100 Mbps. It really was a "plug-and-play" installation with no configuration needed, it connected straight into my network - I didn't even ned to read the manual ! The auto-sensing feature means that you can plug the "in" cable into any socket - another 3Com switch I have has a specific "in" port. ...The basic method of playing Switch is the same the world over, although the choice of penalty cards does vary and in doing so causes untold confusion. I understand that this game has other names but I don't know what they are. Switch is a unique game, in that it doesn't follow the whist or rummy format, nor is it a variation of poker or brag. Any number can play but if there will be more than about 8 players, an extra pack of cards must be used. Whether the extra pack of cards has the same design on the back as the first pack, is irrelevant. The speed of the game is such, that there shouldn't be time to work out the probability of a player holding a particular card, based on the difference in the back of the card. The 4400 Mind Blowing

Advantages: Brilliant writing absolutely genius. Twists and turns like a ride on Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Disadvantages: They stopped making it. They only have 4 series.

...The 4400 for me is a spine tingling series that gripped me so much I had to watch the whole series in one sitting. I'd heard my mum talking about it and knew she watched it. My mum promised that she would lend it me after she watched it. At first I didn't think I would like it, but as soon as I watched one episode I knew this wasn't true. THE FANTASTIC 4400: THE RISE OF A GREAT PROGRAMME

Advantages: unusual, gripping, thought-provoking and addictive viewing
Disadvantages: only five episodes in season one

..., you get more out of "The 4400" in the first five episodes than you probably have still found out in three series of "Lost"!!! Unfortunately the first five episodes of "The 4400" IS in fact the entire first season of it, which is the one disadvantage. But on the bright side, it means you can watch the whole series in less than a day (like I did!) and then be ready to move onto season two. Luckily I bought both seasons at the same time so I'm looking forward to beginning season two today and seeing what on earth can happen next. In fact, why am I still raving on about season one? 4400 a class show

Advantages: plot lines, never gets old,

...of "Promicen" and have got an ability and each of the episodes have been focusing on one or 2 of the people who are one of the 4400 or have taken the shot and have an ability. This program is the only program that made me think what would be like if this would real that if you took the shot you have a 50/50 chance of getting ability or you die would you take it and what would your ability be. And as it is set in the present day it makes me wonder what if. it is really a good show they crammed a lot of story lines in the amount of episodes the have per season (12). The storyline are always fresh and existing. Because in this show they could do what ever comes to mind. I've got the first 3 seasons of the show on DVD. which I watch over and over again you have to watch each episodes more then once to get all the little hints and other story lines in...

...3Com Card This card is a nice card but when it come to networking cads there is only two things that make a difference one being the speed, you only tend to find three types of network card all at various speeds ranging form 10 mbps then you get a 10/100 mbps and just recently you can now get hold of a 10/100/1000mbps cars that can use any of these three standards. The card in question will only run at either ten mega bits per second or one hundred mbps depending on you other hard ware so this is something to keep in mind when buying this card. If you are using a Rj45 Crossover network cable linking two machines directly and both cards will work a 10/100 then you will receive a speed of 100mbps but if the other card in the other machine is only running a 10mbps you will only get speed of 10mbps the speed of the slowest card...
