Apple iPhone 3G

Advantages: A great phone
Disadvantages: None, in my opinion!

After my last contract with o2 expired three months back, I had the choice to renew everything and seeing as there was a distinct lack of phones available with o2 (in hindsight, I would have perhaps opted to look at the phones available with contracts provided by the Carphone Warehouse) I bit the bullet and went for the iPhone 3G 8GB version?the 3GS was available, but I?m not made of money and lets be honest, to pay that much extra for a bit more storage space, voice control and a video camera is not worth it in my honest opinion. iPhone 3G

Advantages: Looks, interface, quality, fun
Disadvantages: Camera could be better

...The iPhone 3G is (almost) all the phone you'll ever need. Don't listen to the iPhone knockers, it's a fantastic piece of kit, it's so slick and easy to use that it even makes me use it to call people more than I ever normally would (I am a man after all so phone calls are short and not always sweet!). The build quality is excellent, I've had mine for a few months now and there isn't a scratch on any surface, it (almost) never crashes (occasionally Safari crashes after a heavy browsing session, and some 3rd party apps crash from time to time). The interface is REALLY slick. All of the built -in applications and most of the 3rd party ones you can download from the App Store (more later) integrate with each other very well. For example, if you have a friend's postal address in their Contact, start typing their name in the GPS...

iPhone 3G S will have you stunned!

Advantages: It's advanced technology and huge variety of features.
Disadvantages: The very low and quickly decreasing battery life.

Apple iPhone 3G is simply amazing

Advantages: Push email, iPod function, app store, wireless connectivity, free on O2 contract
Disadvantages: 2MP camera, not able to send MMS, battery life is not as good as it could be.

...When the first iPhone came out, I was not even aware of it until I saw the large queues outside of mobile phone stores. When I read about it I was completely underwhelmed and forgot about it. Then the iPhone 3G came out. This time I was aware of it but I was tied to another contract so I tried to avoid seeing it so as not to get it on impulse. Then a colleague got one... Advantages: cellphone with ipod, camera and internet all in one and in your pocket, loads of apps to download

How do people live without the Apple iPhone 3g?

Advantages: App store, elligent touch screen, design helps it fit into your hand, browsing speeds
Disadvantages: Poor camera, no physical keyboard, battery is not great

...I bought the iPhone 3g about 6 months ago and have never looked back! Let me get through the minor negatives first. - poor camera the camera is 2mp which is not acceptable for a smart phone. Other brands have been rolling out 8mp which doesn't make the iPhone 3g a first choice for a photogropher, but for out and about snaps, it's acceptable. -no physical keyboard the lack of physical keyboard can make longer texts entries somewhat harder to manage with regular mistakes. On the bright side, the keyboard is pretty smart as it learns commenly words used and spell checks them. -battery life the battery live on the divice is bellow par. You can accept a considerable amount of drainage to the phone with high demanding apps on the phone, but even when cheking email it is hard to squeeze a day out of it. iPhone 3G. What a phone!!!!!!

Advantages: Stylish, fast, too many applications and uses to name!!
Disadvantages: poor battery life on some applications, camera isnt great, no video.

...the camera isnt as good as most phones these days, and literally at the touch of the screen I can go to iTunes, YouTube, BBC iPlayer, eBay, Facebook or any of hundreds of other sites. I have apps giving me all the daily news I need, financial apps telling me whats happening in the stockmarket, a google mobile app with voice recognition etc etc. I can even programme by Sky TV when I'm not at home. I really cannot recommend this phone highly enough. All the major problems that initially pushed some people towards a Blackberry have now been sorted and I cant wait now to get my upgrade to the new 3Gs!!...

Apple iPhone 3G

Advantages: handy for city living, as is packed with all you need to get around
Disadvantages: only available on o2 in the uk, makes it costly

...After owning various Nokia handsets since the advent of my first phone, I finally switched a couple of weeks ago and bought the iPhone 3G. And boy was it a good switch. Although initially the battery life seemed somewhat short, now that the novelty is wearing off it lasts longer day by day. Out of the box it was quick and easy to set up and was instantly useable, and though I've never owned a touch screen before, I was able to master the iPhone's with ease quite quickly. The app store feature means that the phone can be specifically tailored to you personally making what is becoming a common phone individual still. Although I was initially annoyed with the inability to send and receive picture messages , a quick search of the app store gave me a free mms app, and the payment for texts goes through paypal, which eases the monthly bill...

iPhone 3G Review

Advantages: Lots of features, touch screen, good sound quality, durable.
Disadvantages: Poor battery when using features a lot, camera quality below average.

...Well, I've now had my iPhone 3G for 12 months and i'm still growing to love it more and more each day! The iPhone 3G isn't cheap, i got mine when it first came out on Pay As You Go and it cost me £500, so at this price you expect a high quality phone which is going to last a long time - and this is exactly what you get. I had never owned an iPhone before so i was quite excited to get mine. The iPhone 3G comes in black or white and you can choose the 8GB or the 16GB. I chose the black 16GB. It looks great and is really thin and it feels great to hold. I would reccomend that if you do buy this phone then get a screen protector so that if you accidently drop it, the screen won't chip. I have dropped mine a few times and it has a very thin chip in the screen, you can hardly see it and it hasn't affected how my phone works but it is best to...
