Don't listen to the iPhone knockers, it's a fantastic piece of kit, it's so slick and easy to use that it even makes me use it to call people more than I ever normally would (I am a man after all so phone calls are short and not always sweet!). ..., is the perfect size. Volume is easily accessed & you can determine whether the sound is on or the phone is on silent/vibrate by simply flicking a switch on the side. The sleep/wake button is excellent for locking your phone quickly & easily before putting it in your pocket or bag. The SIM card tray is pulled out at the top of the phone, by using a small key which comes with the iPhone but if you don't have it on a hand, something like a paperclip or an earring will do. This way, there is no need to take the back of the phone, which is great & it keeps the SIM card securely in place. The headphone jack is the normal 3mm so will fit your own personal headphones if need be. The microphone is good quality & so is the speaker but it could be a lot louder; the volume does not go very high. The QWERTY keyboard that comes up everytime you need...

Apple iPhone 3G is simply amazing

Advantages: Push email, iPod function, app store, wireless connectivity, free on O2 contract
Disadvantages: 2MP camera, not able to send MMS, battery life is not as good as it could be.

...After owning various Nokia handsets since the advent of my first phone, I finally switched a couple of weeks ago and bought the iPhone 3G. And boy was it a good switch. Although initially the battery life seemed somewhat short, now that the novelty is wearing off it lasts longer day by day. Out of the box it was quick and easy to set up and was instantly useable, and though I've never owned a touch screen before, I was able to master the iPhone's with ease quite quickly. The app store feature means that the phone can be specifically tailored to you personally making what is becoming a common phone individual still. Although I was initially annoyed with the inability to send and receive picture messages , a quick search of the app store gave me a free mms app, and the payment for texts goes through paypal, which eases the monthly bill...
