...Hiya sorry about the boredom about these floppy disks first the imation 3 1/2" floppu disks and now its those pesky 3M's. Right i am sorry to say that my other batch of imation floppy disks have run out. So i phoned my supplier and i was informed by the lovely lady called charlie that they had run out. So she did suggest i try the new 3M pack of 10 floppies. Right onto the product in hand: These are the worst floppy disks i have ever purchased, the colour black is the worst ever but i must agree that floppies are the same as any other floppies. These floppy disks are not pre-formatted so you would need to format them yourself which is really time consuming, especially if you have a really important report due in the next day for the bank as i did. These floppies are not as good as the Imation series as all of these disks... Read review

Advantages: great year for films
Disadvantages: none in the films I have seen

...Every year we are spending more and more money at the cinema each year, and this year with films like Spiderman (£28.5m) Star Wars episode 2(£37.2m) Austin Powers 3 (£23.2m) Men In Black 2 (£22.0m) Scooby Doo (£21.3m) Minority Report (£20.2m) this year looks like it will be the most successful year ever in the UK and USA. Filmmakers need to have big money makers because lots films lose money, big losers this year in the US include: I Spy (cost $100m to make and advertise, made only $33m at the box office) Ecks Vs Sever ($90m, $14m) K19 the widowmaker ($135m, $35m) Windtalkers ($150m, $40m) Bad Company ($100m, $30m) Herts War ($100, $19m) Most of them films have bombed in the UK as well (I Spy and Ecks Vs Sever have not been released in the UK yet) I have been to the cinema 20 times last year, and four times already in 2003, films I... Advantages: Great thriller
Disadvantages: Lack of action

...holds over us if it falls into the wrong hands. Telephone's can seem so harmless, but in this thrilling film it is used as a tool to threaten and scare the person on the other end of the line. Phone Booth is thrilling from start to finish, whether it's the opening ten minutes, which is used for character development, or the rest of the movie, which is literally all action, you're going to be entertained. I am one of the people that dislikes a slow character progression, and prefers the main action of the film to be longer than the fifteen minutes at the end of the movie. Phone Booth compliments these qualities excellently. Another thing that while I don't dislike it, it's become so overused it's almost desensitised itself to me and the majority of the audience, and that's the high budget explosions. Advantages: Great idea and story, brilliant performance from Colin Farrell, exciting.
Disadvantages: The ending is a bit of a disappointment.

.... If it was any calmer I’m sure it would be bordering on boring but it’s far from that, I’m sure it will catch you’re attention from the word go. The only problem I had with this movie was the ending, but I won’t go into how I felt it was disappointing, I might give away too much, but I felt there could have been a better ending. Overall I thought this movie was great, the story was kept simple but it was still thrilling and exciting. The good performances from the cast made it even better. The movie is only 81 minutes long, which is in all honesty quite short for a feature length but I think it was perfect for this movie, as it is mostly, filmed in a single phone booth. I think if it had been any longer the audience might have gotten a little frustrated but this way the film doesn’t lose any of it’s appeal and manages to keep the audience glued... Read review

...This is a hard one to limit to just 10 so in no particular order here they are: 1. SCREAM (1996) This is a most excellent horror that actually takes the "P" out of horrors as well as being scary! Directed by Wes Craven famous for A nightmare on Elm Street (see later in op) its catch phrase is "Don't Answer The Phone. Don't Open The Door. Don't Try To Escape" As with all good horrors, in this film a psychopathic serial killer is stalking a group of teens. I liked this film as I found it was funny, of course its also gory but I especially liked the beginning when Drew Barrymores character is the first victim! Neve Campbell stars as Sidney Prescott and it also has "Mr and Mrs Cox-Arquette" or Courtney Cox and David Arquette as they were known. Advantages: Seem to always have the best deal but BEWARE!!
Disadvantages: poor customer and after sales service, they give you the impression they are more concerned about your money than giving good service to the customers.

The thin film attached to the screen that you normally get with brand new ones had been taken off, the wires of the charger has been hastily put together, and the batteries which is in a separate box, was opened. I wasn't impressed at all. I immediately called the Cumberland St branch and gave them a piece of my mind. I told them to come collect the phone because I'm having none of these. Surprisingly, it was Liam, the store manager who was on the line and tried persuading me by suggesting that he'll exchange the phone and refund the first month's rental to me as an compliment and their apologies. I really had enough of their antiques, and I can definitely afford the £25 a month rental myself. I terminated the contract and their guy picked up the phone the following day. Talk about being... "Dark Water", "The Eye" and "The Ring" trilogy have caught the attention of horror fans all over the world, and made both film-makers and cinema-go'ers wake up to Asian film. ...instantly if Stu hangs up the phone and does not follow his orders. Other people want to use the phone, but Stu cannot hang up. One of them gets violent and is shot by the mystery man. Pandemonium strikes and the police arrive, thinking Stu’s the perpetrator. But Stu cannot hang up the phone or leave the booth. For the duration of the film, from the confines of the booth, Stu has to yield to the killer’s demands, prevent himself getting shot by the gang of police marksmen who are surrounding him, and prevent both his wife and the girl he was calling from getting killed when they arrive at the scene. And soon it’s all happening live on national television. Stu is played by Colin Farrell, and a very good job he does too. ...girlfriend Pam ( Katie Holmes ). However Stu's life is about to be thrown into chaos as he returns to the phone booth he uses same time every day to ring Pam. As he takes off his wedding ring we realise the reason he is ringing from the phone booth when he could have used his mobile is that he is married to Kelly ( Rhada Mitchell ) who checks his mobile phone bill. After charming Pam with promises of castings ( apparently he has put her instead of Julia Roberts up for a film! ) he goes to leave. However the phone rings........... The voice on the other end ( Kiefer Sutherland ) knows everything about Stu and has been watching his every move for a long time. Unluckily for Stu he is not a fan and threatens that if Stu dares to hang up the phone then he will shoot him. Stu thinks it is just someone who is trying to get back at him... Read review

Disadvantages: preachy, a little on the cheesy side

...a good deal about Stu's life as he has been watching him using a telescopic rifle and has bugged the phone booth. Stu tries to pay the caller off with free publicity and cash, but that offer is merely superficial. This moral sniper objects to the way Stu uses people and wants him to confess his disloyalty to his wife and his marital status to his possible girlfriend. Stu becomes a prisoner to both the caller and his own lies. The makers of 'Phone Booth' made some interesting choices in this film, not all of which worked. For one thing, I thought it would be more effective if the voice of the caller sounded as if it were coming through a phone line as opposed to a voice-over. Also, I thought the documentary-like opening sequence about the number of phones is New York City was unnecessary and tacky. The ending was rather corny, as well... Read review
