...Hiya sorry about the boredom about these floppy disks first the imation 3 1/2" floppu disks and now its those pesky 3M's. Right i am sorry to say that my other batch of imation floppy disks have run out. So i phoned my supplier and i was informed by the lovely lady called charlie that they had run out. So she did suggest i try the new 3M pack of 10 floppies. Right onto the product in hand: These are the worst floppy disks i have ever purchased, the colour black is the worst ever but i must agree that floppies are the same as any other floppies. These floppy disks are not pre-formatted so you would need to format them yourself which is really time consuming, especially if you have a really important report due in the next day for the bank as i did. These floppies are not as good as the Imation series as all of these disks are...

Aiptek PocketCam 3M

Advantages: Very reasonably priced, quality photos, comes with tripod and case.
Disadvantages: Slow shutter speed, the flash reflects white if using indoors.

...I bought my PocketCam for £79.99, I was blinded by the 3 mega pixels, the tripod and the price. I somewhat regret the purchase now though. It was intended to be an upgrade from my 1 mega pixel Kodak digital camera, which was great but the picture quality was not up to scratch so I purchased this one and proceeded to take photos, it was during the day and they all came out great with no problems. The next time I used it was indoors in the evening the flash reflected off everything light or white so the pictures where terrible, after much adjustment with the settings I managed to take a few good ones but these varied as to how much light was in the room. And whether the flash was set to auto or not. The other thing I found was that the delay the camera took to take the actual photo was about 2 seconds therefore any photos of moving...

A high end Joystick

Advantages: Large Base, Good instructions, Easy to use, Durable
Disadvantages: Bases may be too large for some desks, Expensive, May be too large for some hands

...Until recently I have been using the Saitek cyborg 3d digital stick. I was impressed by this stick which is why when that one wore out that i decided to buy saitek again. This is currently the top of the range flight stick made by saitek - replacing the X45 permutations previously on offer. At first look there are an overwhelming number of buttons on the two part controller. However they are easy to use bacause they have been well spaced and well positions. The two trigger controls are useful in games with more than one sort of weapon. The triggers are sturdy and are not slack - meaning that you cannot mispress them easily. The stick is easy to hold thanks to its ergonomic design, especially in the case of the throttle control. Though those with smaller fingers may find it difficult to reach the rudder controls which are located...

A clean environment

...As an office administrator I am continuously using my computer for all aspects of my job. The best part of my job is designing and producing flyers, leaflets and posters for our events. I produce a draft and before printing it, to save paper I ask my manager to see what she thinks of my work. She normally asks me to move the pictures around, perhaps change the font and colours. While she is telling me what to edit she will point and touch the screen then move her finder about to show me where she wants things to be placed. Which is fair enough but it really irritates me because she will leave a trail of grease behind on my screen which is really irritating and I can't work with a messy screen. Feel Like an ACE

Advantages: Great Features, Looks, Functions
Disadvantages: Software could be better

...and one caution fire button (all programmable), a caution 5 button is as real as it gets to flying in the RAF or USAF because it has a cover over the button, avoiding accidental press, this can be used as a master arm off alternative. It has 2 POV (point of view) hats on the stick and three switches on the throttle control which can be used for a huge variety of functions, one of them is a mode slide, and you can actually program each button with three different functions. Both bases have four suction cups each and are very convenient to use. The driver CD may give some problems in XP but can be easily patched via the net. The X45 driver software is very detailed and has a very visual and user friendly interface largely due to the 3D modeled interaction feature. I was one of the very first customers of the X45 so I paid a staggering £100 but...

Not just kids-on-the-lawn from this camcorder

Advantages: Lots of manual control, excellent connectivity, good stills, true widescreen
Disadvantages: Expensive, some buttons poorly placed.

...a proper camcorder light to the hot shoe at the top of the camcorder if you wish. Outdoors of course, as with many modern camcorders, the picture quality is simply superb. Even with my very high standards and experience with camcorders, I simply cannot fault the picture performance of this unit. If you have a widescreen TV, and it's the 21st Century so you probably do, you will want to shoot in widescreen. This is a true widescreen camcorder, you don't lose resolution or get black bars by recording in widescreen on the MVX45i, but you do on lots of other models. The optical image stabilisation will take out slight wobbles, and with care you can if you wish create masterpieces with this little unit. There's a 14X optical zoom which is more than ample I feel. A digital zoom function, which should never be used on any camcorder, takes this up...

Advantages: Looks, feels and acts like the real thing (trust me i know) - reliable, good customer service and accurate as hell.

A bulge in your pocket that will make you happy

Advantages: So easy to use, cheap, good quality photos
Disadvantages: Slightly fat, rubber inserts somewhat fragile

...at the back of a pay-as-you-leave bus one day - price was an important parameter. The cheapest brand new digital camera in Argos or Comet is/was around the £50 mark, and a 2.1 megapixel spec....having used my wife's small silver curved pleasuregiver (the Olympus....whaddaya think I meant?), I know that 2.1 megapixels is okay but a little limiting at times. So I hit the well-trodden virtual streets of EBay. For around £60, you can get a 6.6 megapixel non-optical zoom beastie imported from Germany. Oy vey, too expensive. Any second-hand, previously-cherished 3.1 megapixel cameras around? Not many, actually.....but in the end, I bid on and won an Aiptek PocketCam, boxed and used twice, for £26 including delivery. Next day, it was in my hands, service faster than a bat up a nightdress. And I'm very impressed; here are the techie speccies...
