Cruising off to noddy land
Review of Early Learning Centre Car bed by
headgardener
Advantages: Great design, nice and low, attractive and durable
Disadvantages: A little expensive to buy new
...to clean and low enough to be safe.
Standing around 4ft high when assembled the Snooze and cruise toddler bed fitted the bill perfectly.
Having always steered towards Little Tikes toys I was wary of changing the habits of a lifetime, but convinced after my friend bought several items including a fire engine bed and climbing frame manufactured by Step2 (another American manufacturer) and was extremely happy with them, I decided to give them a try.
Designed to resemble a beetle bug car, this jolly yellow blown plastic masterpiece is a real joy to behold.
Assembly is very easy and can be completed by just one adult in only a couple of minutes.
The instructions are clear and concise and very easy to follow
It has pretend green wheels and an extremely jolly face with large appealing stick on eyes and a moulded smile with a clown...

Sweet dreams on a bed of air
Review of Myers Visco Sublime Bed by
laramax
Advantages: Memory foam built into mattress for a better night's sleep
Disadvantages: Drawers are a little stiff when new
...Having had the builders in at home creating a new bedroom with ensuite bathroom it was natural that I would feel the need for a new bed to go in there. One of the things I was looking for when I made my selection was a bed that incorporated a memory foam layer. I had already tried a memory foam mattress topper and was very impressed with the added comfort it offered so, to me, it made sense to look for a mattress with memory foam included.
Memory foam / Visco-elastic foam
I did some research into memory foam and what I learned is that memory foam is somewhat unique in the way it conforms to your body and reduces pressure points. However you wouldn't want a whole mattress made just of memory foam because it is just too soft a material and isn't meant to be supportive. So if you look at the various...

The Complete Bed
Review of The Ready Bed by
Andy0304
Advantages: Quick to inflate
Disadvantages: Cover may not be sufficient for the winter months
...from all the agro I had tracking one down I was pleased with how much I paid for it. I better explain, the reason I couldn't remember seeing them where I work, is because I work for a larger D.I.Y retailer and you don't expect to come across things like that!!
When I got it home I thought to be on the safe side I would test it to make sure I hadn't purchased one that was faulty, I really didn't want to disappoint Ben as he knew we were getting him one.
What's in the box?
The box it came in was quite small and wasn't in anyway difficult to carry as it had a little carry handle and a big picture on both sides of the box showing you which design you purchased. We opened the box and inside it contained the inflatable mattress, the Ready Bed cover, a hand and foot pump, a storage bag and the instructions which to honest I didn't bother...

Can I have a hippo bed please daddy
Review of My First Bed by
abdrewawolfe
Advantages: Comfort, choice, bed buying experience
Disadvantages: price, you may find you have to buy one for all your children
...'m sure its possible to create a hideous clash here.
Base Type - Storage or Sleepover. We chose the Storage base, it's a bit like a draw divan but instead of the drawers there is a big gap under one side of the bed and two big plastic wheeled storage containers. The alternative is a sleepover, where the top of the bed base is padded and quilted. If you're having a friend over you can put the mattress on the floor and sleep directly on the bed base.
Feet Options - Hippo, duck, football, pink, lilac. Supplied with the bed are a pair of slippers really that you put under (around) two of the beds actual feet. Pink again for a little girl.
When you work through this and come to order they ask the Childs name, so they can address the bed correctly.
And then you wait but really not long, about 10 days later a letter with a delivery...

The importance of a decent nights sleep
Review of Layezee Beds Orthopaedic Mattress by
mjthebabe
Advantages: Cheap, nice to look at
Disadvantages: Uncomfortable
...About eighteen months ago I had a bad accident causing me to break my back - but Im not looking for sympathy, just a comfortable mattress to get a good nights sleep without waking up feeling stiff and unrefreshed.
Well about two months after my accident I decided to purchase a new bed and mattress because my existing one was getting extremely old and I felt that I needed the comfort. I suppose I was more sensitive due to the injury. A bit like the princess and the pea, though Im no princess.
Anyhow I decided to buy this lovely pine bed from Argos and was a little undecided about what mattress to have with it so opted for an orthapaedic one due to the back problems.
You can't try mattresses out in the Argos store so its a little difficult to judge what they are like.
The mattress was a double Layezee orthopaedic with yellow and blue...

great little bed for small spaces
Review of Ikea Ajustable Toddler Bed by
kat_pond
Advantages: extendable, fits in small rooms, makes a nice transition from cot to bed
Disadvantages: need to purchase special mattress, not suitable for adults, not great quality
...We bought this bed because our son was growing out of his cot and had to choose one that fitted in the tiniest bedroom in the world - basically the size of a large cupbard. A normal sized single bed would be too big. This bed is ideal for the purpose we chose. Because this bed is uniquely adjustable you need to purchase a special mattress (which comes in three parts) seperately and likewise you need to purchase special bottom covers too. However a friend I know got around this by using pillow cases on the head and foot end mattresses. The bed comes flat packed in three parts plus the slats which need to be put together. My husband claims it was very easy and only took him about 20 minutes.
You start off with the bed being in the smallest position which means having the head and foot ends in the upright position. The minimum length...

My First Bed
Review of Ikea Ajustable Toddler Bed by
Groovee
Advantages: Perefct height for a toddler
Disadvantages: it's not big enough if you have to lie beside them!
...When our daughter was 18 months she was a very active child in her sleep. Her cot was no longer big enough for her to comfortably move around in the cot!
We had seen a small bed in IKEA which was a toddler bed which could extend with the child! It also on one side had a rail which would prevent them falling out!
The bed at the time cost £65 for the base and the mattress was £45. But now I believe they sell it as a combined package for about £105!
The Bed came as a flat pack which my hubby found easy to make and put together! He put the frame together in about 20 minutes and the slates took about 10 mins and another 5 minutes to screw onto the bed to hold them securely! The instructions were easy to follow and all screws and keys were there to help you along the way!
The bed was up and was light to move into the position...

Bensons for Beds-A real nightmare!!!!
Review of Bensons Bed Shop by
hummingbird07
Advantages: Nothing
Disadvantages: Very bad customer service.
...Recently we moved to a new flat. And we ordered a new bed frame and mattress from Bensons Bed shop. When we ordered, they said they will deliver it as soon as possible and set a date for delivary. It was supposed to be delivered on Monday. So they gave a call on Friday saying that they can deliver only mattress on Monday and the bed frame will be delivered on Friday only. So I asked them to do it together on Friday. They said they will arrange it for Friday both the bed frame and the mattress. Then on Monday, I got a call from the delivery man saying he is on his way to deliver and will be there in half an hour. Then he came and delivered the mattress. And there was no bed frame. So I waited on Friday for the bed frame to come. On friday I got the bed frame, but we ordered a King Size Bed and we recieved 2 boxes as Double and one box...

Peace of mind and a dry bed too!
Review of Pampers Pampers Bed Mats by
kingfisher111
Advantages: very absorbant and portable
Disadvantages: none
...'t actually need them, but the one small accident we had proved that they work very well - catastrophe was averted and we were not responsible for ruining one hotel mattress! At the moment you can buy a pack of seven from Boots for £4.78. This is quite a reasonable price for peace and mind but I think probably a bit too expensive to use instead of the plastic undersheet on the bed. But certainly, every time we go away from now on, Pampers Bed Mats will definitely be on my list of essential packing!...

Beds.... Eventually
Review of Bensons Bed Shop by
scuba_angel
Advantages: good deals, good quality
Disadvantages: little contact from the delivery depot
...of sale says clearly that I am responsible for ensuring that I have space for the item ordered. Fair enough I had't read the terms. So I requested that they deliver instead to my parents address, this was changed no problem. But they warned me that the delivery may need to change as it was from a different depot. Again reasonable.
A week later they called and apologetically asked if a delivery date of April 3rd was ok for me. It was and this became the new agreed delivery date. But after paying in mid March as per the original agreement (payment in full 4 days before delivery) the bed was not delivered on April 3rd. It was a week later when I found this out that I called in to Bensons to find out where it was and why it had not been delivered. The Manager was very helpful and agreed to get in touch with the depot and call me back, which he...
