Fujifilm 4GB Class 4 SDHC
Advantages: Simple syncronisation, compact, affordable, fast.
Disadvantages: Capacity is a little outdated.
...Having owned various digital camera's myself over the last few years I decided to buy my Mum her own digital camera for when she goes away on holiday. She no longer has to borrow my every changing model of camera and now finds it much easier to work her own digital camera. I bought the Fujifilm 4GB Class 4 SDHC Card for use with the camera in order to allow her to take a lot of images and store them on the SDHC Card. I bought the card for myself really, as I organise her images on her social networking profiles such as Facebook. The card has a capacity of 4GB which is more than enough for the purpose I sue it for. It has the capacity to store more than 2500 images based on a 6mil. pixel image at 1.5MB. With a write speed of 4MB per second and the ability to read at a speed of 10MB per second it is more than capable of...

a durable 4gb USB stick
Advantages: durable, decent capacity
Disadvantages: none
...I bought one of these verbatim USB sticks around 3 years ago when I was working at Ryman. I remember it costing me about £30 for 4gb at the time, and whilst you can still buy these they cost less than £10 now.
I bought 4gb as I was at university studying photography and criminology, so I needed something that would be able to store my essays and project work enabling me to transfer information between my home laptop and the university computers, without having to drag my laptop around with me or my external hard drive (both of which are very heavy when you're lumping them around on a train for 70miles). This USB satisfied the requirements of having both a decent memory (I've only managed to fill it up once and that was when I was putting a huge number of photos on it) and being pocketable therefore not presenting me with any weight...

£199.99 for a 4GB pen drive??
Advantages: Cheap (ignoring the random £199.99).
Disadvantages: The U3 utility can be frustrating.
...paid for it from Amazon, but I suspect it was around the £15 mark (a few years ago), although checking on Amazon this morning, they do have this exact same model selling for £199.99 (yes that is correct!!) from a company called 'Think Accessories', which I think is a tad overpriced bearing in mind that most other 4GB pen drives on Amazon are under the £5 mark. But for you lottery winners that desperately want this particular drive ???????
For those of you who don't understand what this is or does, it is basically a small portable electronic (for want of a better word) 'box' which you can use to store and transfer your electronic documents or files (e-mails, music, pictures, letters etc) from one computer to another. Small enough to attach to a key ring, you can carry numerous electronic bits of information with ease and quickly transfer...
