...This review is for the Vega 4 GB MP4 player. Setup The setup for this device can be complicated. You are given the device in a box but you have to install the disc. The disc is quite tiny and it took me several attempts to actually get the disc to load up in the first place. Once the disc is loaded up you are then given this small application which you need to use to transfer your files over with. The problem is the application tends to lock up on you half way through the process of you actually sending the files over. The best route for you to get the files transferred over is by opening up the driver folder which you will find when you plug the device into the computer and copy and paste the files over this way. It does take a lot longer and can be frustrating but it is the only way for the files to be sent over...

Review of Vega MP4 Player

Genus vizo mp3, mp4 player, cheap, easy, 1 gb

Advantages: Compact, good screen, cheap, easy to use
Disadvantages: Battery life in video play mode.

...I bought my vizo off ebay, at the cheap price of £35 all-in. Upon using it, i found the transfer of data to be easy, and quick. The screen itself, whilst not big, is clear and not straining on the eyes. The battery life is not that good on video player, just 4 hours, howveer, switching the lcd off, and listening as a mp3 player alone allows the vizo to run to 10 hours 9provided yours is not a very-old second hand one). It is compact, and easy to use, the menu functions are all relatively easy to navigate, as is the use of the joystick to do so. This player may not hold too much in the way of memory, but you can fit a good movie on there of about 2 hours and a bit, and still have 300 mb to play with on mp3 time. There is also the option of fitting pictures on to it, which you can use up to 6 megapixel pics with, and the handy option...

Advantages: Large capacity, bright display, easy use, nice design, Long battery life
Disadvantages: Click wheel is a bit sensitive, price (£89 up over).

...When I first received this iPod in the mail, I was taken back! I have seen these before in real life and online, and honestly; they don't look so small and thin! They look really nice, and the sound quality is incredible! Music takes like no time to load onto the iPod through iTunes. And when you're in the player, you can listen to music, watch videos, podcasts, TV Shows, Play games, store contacts, notes and it even keeps you up to date on the time ^^. Looks: 10/10 Sound: 10/10 Quality 20/10 I would recommend buying a metal case when you purchase it though, as the back WILL scratch like hell unless you protect it! The screen is amazingly bright and clear, and the click-wheel makes navigating easy as pie. The wheel is a bit sensitive though. Amazing product, would recommend....

...The first I want to say about this product is how long the battery lasts. I was playing around with this thing for a whole 2 days without the battery even going down under half. I later realised that the battery life was up to 45hours which is pretty incredible, considering it is longer than the Ipod touch. Stylish iPOD 4GB player

Advantages: Portable, nice navigation wheel, good connectivity to the PC

...turn the wheel, hard to describe feeling. The menu is easy to navigate and the software is easy to use. The only nag is that the iTune software is trying to communicate with Apple from time to time and you won't know what actually it sent and received. This player can support AAC, MP3, AIFF, WAV, Audible, MP3 VBR, Apple Lossless format files with a reasonable size LCD screen. The sound quality is very good. Also, I like the USB 2.0 connection which is quite quick to transfer files to/from my PC. Its 42 g weight is virtually nothing in your pocket and it is as thin as a pencil, no need to strap it onto your belt. After 6-7 months of use, I have noticed that the battery has shown some signs of aging. The battery life is slightly shorter than expected now. I hope I don't need a new battery life when the 12 month warranty is up...

Review of Apple iPod nano 4 GB

iPod Mini Original 4GB - Largely a great player

Advantages: Small, lightweight; funky colours; easy to use
Disadvantages: Battery runs low quite quickly; ear phones leak a lot of sound

...and often they are not as good at first (although I'm sure by now there are other strong rivals to Apple). Also, I wanted something that looked stylish and contemporary and with the choice of colours (mine is pink), the iPod mini met that requirement. There are also a huge array of accessories available for the iPod mini meaning that you can improve and get the best out of your MP3 player, although at a cost. I would recommend either the 4GB or 6GB iPod mini because newer versions have supposedly addressed the battery life issue. The 4GB iPod mini available now has a longer battery life because my version was the first mini, so that part of the review probably wouldn't apply to new players (although I would still doubt that it lasts 18 hours, but maybe that long-haul flight!) Other than that and the larger storage, there isn't much difference...
