...Apple mac-books, where to start... ok, so to start, it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are. this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop. The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop. Seagate Momentus 160Gb 2.5inch hard drive

Advantages: Huge capacity, reasonably fast, 5 year warranty
Disadvantages: Not the fastest

...My laptop, a Dell 5150 is a fine machine (see review elsewhere on Ciao) but the 80Gb hard drive whilst big for a laptop is starting to get a bit cramped now I have both Windows XP and Vista on it so I've started looking around for a second hard drive so I can put Vista on one and leave XP on the other and then swap drives as needed. Luckily, following a previous hard drive failure, I have a spare caddy that the laptop needs so swapping drives would be a quick task, assuming I keep the tiny screwdriver needed handy in my rucksack! Laptop hard drives are smaller than normal - 2.5inch as opposed to 3.5 inch and tend to be at a price premium compared to the 'normal' sized drives, especially the bigger ones. They also tend to be much slower as they run at 4200RPM instead of 5600 or even 7200RPM that desktop ones run at. The reason being...

...might want to risk it. The whole plant isn't likely to grow more than 13cms (5 inches)across anyway. Don't torment you little monster plant by poking the traps to make it shut. Each trap can only open and close about 6 times and the plant has to make new traps after this. If its putting energy into this it hasn't got energy to stay healthy, unless you are lucky. If you want to feed your VFT you will need to catch some flies and other insects. If you give it a bit of ordinary meat it will die. People often claim that you can feed these plants on minced beef or a bit of left over meat, but you can't. The meat will rot and kill the plant. The 'meal' you feed your plant shouldn't be bigger that about one third of the leaf trap or it will rot and kill the plant. Your plant will eat flies, slugs and even spiders. Don't feed it anything...

...a giggle at some of the memories and surprised myself by what I’ve dredged up. I'll end by adding my least favourite fashion item of all time. WEDGES I was in my late teens when they came out and succumbed to 5 inch wooden ones. They were uncomfortable clod hopping things that I would never volunteer to wear again. Slightly rounded at the front and underneath the heel, they rocked when you stood still. I went over on my ankles every time that I wore them and it's a wonder I didn't break them. The only funny memory that I have of them is walking drunkenly up and down Haworth main street. Very steep and cobbled it was hard on the butt when one of us girls lost our manoevering abilities and usually pulled at least one other of us down with them....
