...Healthy living made easy! We all know that we are supposed to drink more water than we should, but tap water doesn?t taste nice and bottled water gets expensive? The answer for me is a counter top water chiller that uses a Brita Maxtra Water filter. This costs me about 5p per litre for filtered, chilled fresh tasting water. The water tastes great, the filter removes limescale, chlorine (which smells and tastes bad) aluminium and certain heavy metals (like copper and lead) along with certain pesticides. Disadvantages: aldehydes - not everyone is used to this smell; can be found old-fashioned

...Chanel No. 5 will always remain a controversial perfume. Although used and praised for decades it's still a love or hate fragrance. I think it's because of aldehydes, the most important constituents of this fragrance. They possess a waxy, fatty smell that often makes think on washed and dried clothe. Aldehydes are found in nature (for example in a citrus peel), but never in amounts used in Chanel No. 5. That makes this smell a bit unnatural from one side, but it also gives an interesting exotic twist. In my opinion EDP is much softer than EDT version - the aldehydes are less sharp and the floral bouquet is more prominent. On my skin it starts with a fresh citrus note that slightly fades into a floral hart of orange blossom, rose and jasmine. ...How do you write a useful opinion on a perfume for someone who?s never smelt it? The answer is you probably can?t, but I?ll try anyhow. Firstly and most important, if you?ve never tried Chanel No5, DO NOT BUY IT UNTIL YOU?VE TESTED IT. This may seem a bit pedantic but I?m only telling you so you don?t waste your money buying a perfume which, when worn, may not suit you. I love the smell of Coco in the bottle, but whenever I try to wear it, it smells like cat pee. That?s the thing with perfumes. They really do smell different on different people. Now, why should you buy, or even test No5? Because it?s classy. It has no specific age range (i.e. it?s not old woman?s perfume. You know which I mean.). Advantages: Goes and carries everything, everywhere.
Disadvantages: Not quickly....

...rare I travel at peak times, so my figures may be higher than others. Tyres are expensive, but go buy a set of General AT2's for it, yes they will set you back over £700 for the 5, but they will last 70,000 miles. Makes it a bit more palettable compared to 20,000 miles for the Pirelli's. The other advantage mine has, is the 7 seats.Saves taking 2 cars at times, who say's they can't save you money? Kids love the rear most seats, especially if you have the extra radio points in the back. Over all, if you have a use for this type of vehicle, then you could do a lot worse than the Discovery. Jap stuff breaks down too, and the cost of parts is no where near theirs. I think it's a fantastic vehicle, a true all rounder....

...If you have the money to spare and are looking for a car that has Looks - Style - Comfort - Reliability and a real name that's had a good following over the years, I would highly recommend the Land rover Discovery. The biggest asset at the moment is that the price throughout the range has been reduced dramatically due to the recent changes in importation and dealership, and if you shop around you really can pick up an excellent deal, Even Secondhand. With the TD5 ( Turbo Diesel ), you get real quality even with the earlier models. The only drawback with the earlier ones is that the ride tends to be a bit bumpy, but having said that the early models are more economical to run in general averaging 30 - 35 MPG. The more recent models ( I.E 1997 Onward ) usually run at around 25 - 30 MPG, But obviously they are much more luxurious...

Even keeps the rice warm for you if you are busy with the curry or someone has rung you on the phone. Keeps hot for as long as you want, an hour is okay! The rice is just right temperature when you get back to it. You can be sure it doesnt burn at the bottom if you have the correct amount of rice to water measurement unlike the traditional method where you have to keep an eye on the pan, in case it boils over or boils dry, its automatic. ...My Land Rover Discovery 2.5 TD5 GS is the 5-seat model, first registered in December 1999. It was bought in June 2000 for £20,000, having cost approximately £27,500 new. It had nearly 5000 miles on the clock. Bodywork was and is immaculate and the previous owner (a rural chemist) buys a new one quite frequently (every 6 months!). This car had also had lamp protectors and fog lamps fitted over the standard spec, with floor mats and mudflaps also fitted.
