The G5, being my third digital camera, I was not quite so frightened of it, as I had been with the others, so I looked up in the manual, to find out how to turn it on. By the way, surprisingly, the manual is very good, and explains most things quite well. Just right of the hot shoe, on the top of the camera is the power on/off button, a circular knob with a bit sticking out at the back. Push this ‘sticking out’ bit to the right, which makes it point to the camera pic seen in front of the knob, and we are turned on in ‘record’ mode. Push the other way to point to the arrow, and we are in ‘playback’ mode. To turn the camera off, push down the central button marked ‘off’ found in the middle of the circular knob. ...I hate it, hate it hate it. No not the product the fact that no matter how much or how little wet look gel I put in my hair after a few hours I'm tempted to run my fingers through it thus making it feel all knotted and like cardboard. We've all done it surely? No just me oh OK. It's always amused me the phrase wet look gel. If your hair was wet I very much doubt you'd be able to style it (it would just be a mass of hair over your face) but rather than being niggly what does VO5 Power styling wet look gel offer that the others don't? Well for starters you don't need a large amount, a small amount (about a walnut size) is adequate for an average male's hair. ...I was a little hesitant about purchasing this computer after the speculation surrounding the benchmark tests Apple had published, but when the PowerMac finally arrived I was absolutely amazed by its power. Alternately, the catches COULD HAVE BEEN exactly designed to match the cable and thus leave a flat surface - the present surface is hard edged and thus when used, looks just as ugly as if you were to glue two bits of plastic to the power supply to wind up the excess cable onto. Two steps forward one step back. The power 220V cable cannot be wound up anywhere but just hangs there in its full unsightly 1.5metre length. Granted, Apple again will argue that they also deliver a two-pin power plug (without cable) which can be INSERTED into the power supply and thus do away altogether with the 220V power cable. Sadly, I want perfection. 6. There is an Audio In socket which is an important advance rendering the need to buy special USB audio converters unnecessary.
