Red Dwarf - Series 5 review

Advantages: Great premises, great chemistry between the actors
Disadvantages: Not as good as the previous season

...Red Dwarf - Series 5 is the fifth season of Red Dwarf, the cult sci-fi comedy show created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. For the fifth season the director Ed Bye left to direct Ruby's Wax's show, The Full Wax, so Juliet May was brought in instead. However, she found it hard to deal with the sci-fi aspect of the show and so Grant and Naylor directed the remaining episodes. The quality for me slips a little bit in this series, not much, but it's noticeable over the previous season. The theme tune is instantly recognizable, very up tempo and memorable. The special effects in this episode are pretty good, not great, but I think they fit the show well. Ever since I was young, I always remember staying up to watch the antics of Del boy and Rodney on the television. OFAH The complete series 5, see's the Del witness a miracle, and the Trotters nearly moving to Australia. Only Fools and Horses was the creation of John Sullivan, and every episode was masterful and never uneventful. I think that everybody on this planet could relate in some way or another to the laughter and drama and antics that the brothers and their friends would get up to. Every episode of Only Fools and Horses seems to get funnier and funnier, there is no doubt in my mind that I will be watching these...

...This program was watched by millions of regular viewers when aired between 06/10/72 - 29/12/72. Nine series was produced with 80 episodes being shown. I remember watching this program (on re-runs of course) in my younger years at my grans. They were mad for this program and kept on saying "I remember doing that" or "to think what we didn't get then" used to make me chuckle a little, until you remember what this country must have gone through before the war was won. The Middle Series

...and Rachel. He has a job that no one really understands what he does apart from inputting numbers into a computer. He is the funny one and is known for his jokes. Joey - Joey lives with Chandler and is a stud. He has amazing luck with women because of his charm and due to the fact that he is an actor on a soap opera. He is a love them and leave them kind of guy though and a bit dim so not someone that is really ever going to settle down. Phoebe - Phoebe is the ditzy one who has had a lot of trouble in her past, mother killed herself, father left, she lived on the streets. She is very kooky and weird but in a funny way. She plays guitar at the Central Perk and has some very weird and wonderful songs and also works as a masseuse too. Series 5 like the other series? do, starts where we left off with Season 4. ...Still Game , the hugely popular scottish comedy series is back for a 5 season, following the life of OAP's Jack and Victor, and craiglang residents, Tam,Winston, Isa, Navid and more. This series 5 DVD is packed full of another hilarious 6 episodes from the 5th series of the show. Series 5 is no exception to the humour seen previously, in the previous 4 series. This DVD boxset, contains the following list of episodes : - Episode 1 - Drama Jack and Victor are bored in Craiglang, and decide to set further afield. They end up at a local distillery, and enjoy it so much, they sneak around again....... and again. Episode 2 - Fresh Lick Jack and Victor volunteer to help redecorate Isa's front room, but end up making a complete mess. The 5th series starts with J.D ( a now fully qualified phsician ) saying " this is going to be a good year " to any hardcore scrubs fans they will realise this is off the first ever episode. bearing this in mind the season 5 dvd box set may be seen as losing its originality. ...Psion has in its Series 5 of palmtops an excellent range of products. There are basically three different types of Psion Series 5 palmtops (when you exclude the simpler REVOs), the original granite black coloured model, the special edition metallic green one and the more recent 5MX. There are very few differences other than aesthetical from the black to the green model; they share the same hardware specifications although the attractive green special edition did come with a brown leather case included. The 5MX comes with 16Mb as opposed to the 8Mb in-built EPROM memory the original models are equipped with. Psion palmtops are excellent tools for the busy businessman and entrepreneur or for students who cannot afford a computer. TWO BROKEN SERIES 5s

Advantages: Portable computer
Disadvantages: They seem quite prone to breaking.

...I've been a fan of Psion for a long time (at least 6 years). Starting off with a Series 3a I used it all the time and downloaded many great applications from the Internet. After a couple of years Psion brought out the Series 5 which I decided to buy. The unit itself is slightly bigger and more of a boxy shape, but it's still nice and has a soft touch. The applications are similar to others in the range which include word processor, spreadsheet, database, clock, world time, calculator games and sound recorder. Additionally software can be downloaded from the Internet or written in OPL (similar to BASIC, if you're a programmer like myself). The unit unfolds nicely to reveal the keyboard and screen. I can't see any use for the sound recorder, but it is quite good by allowing the applications to play sound effects (ie, games...
