LG Viewty = 5 Stars!
Advantages: Camera, Screen Size, Music, Free Internet
Disadvantages: Battery Life
...improvement on the "5 megapixel" camera the Samsung G600 had. I'm really pleased with the quality of the images. I think having a proper lens + flash in the camera is better than a small camera with an LED flash. I have to admit, it isn't the best thing to take a picture when you're in the sun but it's really clear and colourful otherwise. Impressed with the editing features, too.
Now, texting and calling. Whoever says you can't type quickly on here is joking. Yes, it is hard to begin with but I find it easier to type on here than with a normal keypad. I find it a lot quicker. Maybe that's just me? It took me a while to discover which button was backspace but I got there in the end and I've got round any problems with texting!
The battery life isn't brilliant, but I managed to take loads of pictures and listen to hours of music on Youtube...

Premier Inn, Charing Cross Glasgow
Advantages: Close to town and all amenities
Disadvantages: none
...I have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend.
The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home.
The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep.
We opted for the breakfast deal and we were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and warm there was also plenty of choice.
Access to the hotel was excellent for both able bodied and non-able bodied people, we didn't have a wheelchair but we did have a six month old baby and a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from...

Not 5 Star
Advantages: Good news and fashion pages
Disadvantages: A bad version of Heat
...This magazine is one of the worst celebrity gossip magazines in the UK. Star is a weekly magzine that is published every Monday and is a good price at 99p, how the quality reflects the cheaper proce than other other weekly such as heat and grazia.
Star magazine claimed it was this years official big brother magazine, a title usually held by heat, but this shows the quality of articles on offer.
I often buy this magazine when I want a cheap read for a train journey but having regretted my choice too many times will not be doing so in the future.
Star has been running for nearly 250 issues so a demand for this magazine must still be present but with the credit crunch magazines but be a luxury people are willing to drop. Celebrity magazines may become defunct as people are able to view up to date information now on the web.
Star is...

Glasgow's Buffet Banquet
Advantages: Great variety, wide range of vegetarian dishes, value for money
Disadvantages: very busy at all times, not suitable for young families
...A new buffet restaurant, The China Buffet King, has opened on Sauchiehall Street Glasgow, opposite the Dental Hospital. After visiting chinese buffets on holiday in Canada and America my husband and I prayed for the day one would open near us. True, Chinese restaurants in the U.K. have buffet nights but they are often poor value and have little real choice. The China Buffet King is a totally different experience and one I recommend to you wholeheartedly.
The first thing you notice about the China Buffet King is the almost permanent queue outside it - a good sign I would say. We had to queue for around ten minutes for a table for six but it was worth the wait. It was very busy and I felt that it wasn't suitable for a young family because of that. The restaurant is spacious, clean and well staffed. Although the waiters mostly...

The Anarkali - Super-Curry-is-Delicious-Prices-Aren't-Atrocious!
Advantages: Excellent value for money, good quality food, no charge for corkage
Disadvantages: Toilets a bit "basic", to be avoided during Hampden events
...The Anarkali Indian restaurant on Victoria Road in Glasgow is superb for a budget night out.
Situated in the Southside of Glasgow, it is an old fashioned curry house. The décor doesn?t seem to have been updated in the last twenty years and the toilets are ?compact? and basic to say the least.
It?s a bit on the dark side inside, but the tables, cutlery and glasses are clean and hygienic looking. Probably seating approximately 50 patrons at most, it is not the largest of establishments but it is generally well staffed, usually very busy, and, by my observations, it does a roaring takeaway trade also. It is also VERY busy if there is an event on at Hampden, but to my mind, booking is recommended any weekend to avoid disappointment.
Cast your apprehensions regarding the interior aside though as the food is...

Harvester Restaurants
Advantages: Always one close by, quick turn out, children are welcome and catered for.
Disadvantages: Toilets can be quite disturbing, not all dishes taste as good they are described.
...counted 6 the last time I chose this.
Chinese Platter - Crispy king prawn crackers, duck and veggie spring rolls and chicken wantons, enough for one person but they do pass it off as for two to share. The spring rolls are quite small, but with a crisp outer shell and succulent vegetables they are extremely Moorish.
Harvest Festival - for 2 to share. BBQ chicken wings, chicken fillets, breaded mushrooms, corn on the cob and soggy onion rings. Served with the harvester sour cream & chives dip and BBQ sauce.
Main Menu:
If you eat during the week before 6.30pm, including lunch times, it's known as the early bird. The restaurant is usually quieter and the food prices are considerably less, up to a third off each dish. Remember that on Saturday this offer is only valid until 5 pm. Early bird menu prices range from £4 to under...

Star trek 5, the rubbish film
Advantages: Good music
Disadvantages: story, special effects and acting
...Star trek 5 the final frontier was one of the strangest star trek films to date. It doesn't even have good special effects and the acting is not as good as previous performances. The only good thing about this film is the music done by Jerry Goldsmith.
The story starts with Kirk, Spock and Mccoy camping. But shore leave is soon cancelled and the incomplete USS Enterprise leaves space dock on course for Nimbus 3. A hostage situation has taken place, one of the 3 hostages is a human dimplomat. The other two are a Romulan and a Klingon, both dimplomats. The planet is an attempt at peace which sadly failed, Kirk is given orders to rescue the hostages and beware the Klingons who are also attempting to reach Nimbus 3. Upon arriving at Nimbus 3, Kirk, Spock and Mccoy and an assault party use a shuttle to reach the planet. After a furious...

Holy Grail, Thy Name Is Haggis Nachos...
Advantages: excellent food, friendly staff, no snobbery, great menu, great food!
Disadvantages: steak done medium instead of medium-rare... not wheelchair accessible
...a minute or two - at which point I was wondering if we should just go straight to the bar and ask - when our friendly greeter had finished serving and marked our name off and took us to our table. Although it was still relatively early (just after 5pm) there was already a crowd of about 10 young folk on the couches, and another couple of tables occupied in the restaurant.
We were given the Pre-Theatre menu (2 courses for £11.95 or 3 courses for £15.95) as well as the restaurant's little menu-magazine to peruse. They had Olde English Cider on draft, and bottles of Magners and Kopparberg (and another I can't remember) - I opted for the Koppaberg Pear Cider, because Magners is piss-water. The Boyfriend got a pint of Ice Cold Tennent's lager, although Staropramen was also on draft as well as some others we can't remember. The bar looked pretty...

Café Hula - Great Homecooked Food in the Heart of Glasgow
Advantages: Great food, good value, handy for Theatre Royal, relaxed atmosphere, excellent service
Disadvantages: None really. But you might get undercharged!
...spotted the odd thespian here too (including John Savident (Coronation "Ashley, I say, Ashley" Street) who was starring in HMS Pinafore).
I am lead to believe that Café Hula is run by a husband and wife team, both of whom operate mainly back of house, although it has one of those fairly open dining/kitchen areas. It is a bustling and busy place but with a relaxing buzz; it has been busy on each occasion that we have eaten here (although that has been either Friday or Saturday early evening) and I would definitely recommend booking at the weekend to avoid disappointment.
We have only ever eaten here pre-theatre and each time it has been a very positive and enjoyable experience.
The staff are mainly young, and are enthusiastic, friendly and efficient. Some are from overseas, possibly students in Glasgow, and their...
