Design With its silver cover, the body of K500i looks like it?s covered with heavy load of metal so it is really surprising that it?s very light and just weighs 80 grams. Its shape makes it look like no other and that made me attracted to it instantly. The overall design from front, back to sides instantly made me long to own it. The uniqueness of the mobile phone is simply eye-catching. Upon turning it on for a test, I was so impressed with the clarity of its screen display. The Self Destructing S500i from Sony Ericsson

Advantages: Seems ok.
Disadvantages: Might be complete and utter failure

...My friend bought this phone, roughly a year ago at a what was a fair price back then. The S500i is aimed at women, and has a special feature that will change your theme (when you open and close your phone, by sliding it). In January you will get cold colours which will slowly change and become lighter and greener, perfectly in time for spring and so on. I've heard it is quite nice in December when it is christmassy. And with a black cover and green keypad it can look quite nice. The menu is fairly simple and can be changed, but basically has 12 icons. Like most sony ericssons. On the front you have two soft keys, the back key, the clear key and two shortcuts. You also have the navigation buttons and the the middle button has a contrasting green trim. But why I am reviewing my friend's phone...? Well you will soon know...

This phone comes in a variety of colours, such as black and green, white, yellow, purple and silver. However, I bought the limited edition Jemma Kid version, which is floral and aimed towards females. Apparently if you buy from the Carphone Warehouse, you receive Jemma Kid nail varnish and lip gloss, but I didn't receive this since I ordered mine online. This mobile still appears to be for sale on some websites, although it's not as widely available as the normal designs of this phone. ...after about three weeks two of the keys had cracked. The crack was quite literally right in the middle of the keys. When the keys on the phone cracked, I looked on the internet to see if anyone else had had the same problem. I found that there were lots of people whose keys had cracked. I don't text a lot, I normally just phone so I was surprised to see that the keys had cracked. You can still use the keys when they've cracked but it didn't make the fact the keys had split any better. The phone measures 99 x 47 x 14 mm and weighs 94g. Overall I think that just because of the poor quality of the phone, the Sony Ericsson S500i is not worth it....

  The Apple Of My i

Advantages: Full Internet, Massive storage, Great design, Superb battery life.
Disadvantages: The Megapixel of the camera is put to shame by other phones available.

My 18 month contract with T-Mobile is coming up for renewal next week, however having had problems gaining reception in my area I'd opted to look elsewhere for a new contract. A few weeks back my problems were solved when I was shopping around to try and find the best mobile contract, and discovered that O2 would be stocking the Apple iPhone as of November the 9th. Not only was I looking for a new mobile contract, but also a replacement MP3 player so the Apple iPhone seemed ideal. I made plans to purchase the iPhone and on the evening of release made my way down to the nearest O2 store upon finishing work, bagging myself my very own iPhone at a price of £269. Although the price did seem a little steep, especially considering that I would be paying out a further £35 a month for the contract...

...I brought this phone two weeks ago and have been very happy with it so far. It didn't really take any setting up apart from putting in the time and date. It's also really easy to get the hang of, and although I did look through the manual I probably could have worked it. Look This phone is stylish, and certainly stands out, with its sleek black case with green keypad and back (also availible in yellow and silver). It also has lights down each side which glow when in use, and do light patterns when receiving a call, which can be varied for each caller. ...Overall a good phone with some fun features including a drawing pad photo editor and music player to name a few. The touch feature of this phone is highly impressive and very accurate for instance when sending a text message (Default layout or QWERTY) or entering a phone number. A drawback i found with the phone though, was the lack of customization as you are not able to change the menu background or icons in any way, this means that adding your own theme or downloaded ones to the phone cannot be done, this may not be a problem to some though. Since owning the phone it has crashed 2 or 3 times but this has just been a matter of resetting the handset and did not result in data loss or other problems. I would recommend purchasing a memory card for this phone as even if you don't plan to put music on the phone, the internal memory fills up...
