Advantages: This phone has great quality pictures and quite a good video quality for its price
Disadvantages: The joystick may take a while to get used to, and I have yet to find a way to transfer data from the phone to a computer

Its combination of both simple and advanced features means that it is suitable for a wide range of people, whether they just want a normal, good quality phone to use for calling and texting, or whether they wanted a hi-tech phone with a lot of nifty features. The Sony Ericsson K500i has a lot of good and useful features, and they are not hard to use either. ...I had previously own the Samsung E720 and loved it - so when i heard that a similar yet better version had been produced i was really excited. As my previous phone had been pay and go - i decided to go for a contact which enabled me to get the Samsung S500i the week it became available on contract. Initially i was impressed the handset is sleek, modern and lightweight. The i-mode gave me quicker and faster access to the internet whilst on the move. Being an avid ebay user i was bowled over by the fact that i could bid through i-mode on my handset. The battery seems to last longer than with the E720 both on standby and talk time. ...after about three weeks two of the keys had cracked. The crack was quite literally right in the middle of the keys. When the keys on the phone cracked, I looked on the internet to see if anyone else had had the same problem. I found that there were lots of people whose keys had cracked. I don't text a lot, I normally just phone so I was surprised to see that the keys had cracked. You can still use the keys when they've cracked but it didn't make the fact the keys had split any better. The phone measures 99 x 47 x 14 mm and weighs 94g. Overall I think that just because of the poor quality of the phone, the Sony Ericsson S500i is not worth it.... Read review

Advantages: Very stylish with quirky features

...I brought this phone two weeks ago and have been very happy with it so far. It didn't really take any setting up apart from putting in the time and date. It's also really easy to get the hang of, and although I did look through the manual I probably could have worked it. Look This phone is stylish, and certainly stands out, with its sleek black case with green keypad and back (also availible in yellow and silver). It also has lights down each side which glow when in use, and do light patterns when receiving a call, which can be varied for each caller.
