Advantages: SMall and easy to take around with you and for storing game saves
Disadvantages: Expensive and a hard drive would be far more beneficial

...If you purchase the xbox arcade console then you will get one of these 512mb memory units free with the console. However if you opt to go for either the premium console or the elite console you will get the main hard drive for free and will have less need for these. These small memory units are both advantageous as they are small and compact and suitable for certain tings. However they are on the other hand quite pathetic compared to the 20gb or 120gb hard drives which are also available on the market. I currently own both a 20gb hard drive and one of these 512mb memory units as well. ...So the SanDisk SD flash memory card 512MB. Well as a start like most memory cards these days , its nice and small ( perfect for getting lost if your not careful). Despite its size its nice and long lasting ( well mines still alive anyway..or it was the last time i used it) you get a ncie handy case, you know incase you like accidently sit on it or something. So 512MB , its a pretty good amount of memory for camera use , but if you really do like to get out there and basicly film your entire life, you\'d probably be better off with more memory, i recomend the 1gb or 2gb sandisk memory card. So what a lovely shade of blue, hmm, yes its a bit boring compared to other memory cards, but what do you expect, half the time you cant see it anyway because its inside a device. ...I recently completed my first self build computer project. After having bought a pre-build last time I decided to do it myself this time as I have been inside my old one enough times to know what goes on. My last computer used unbranded memory, and I feel this caused compatability issues with components I installed. I decided to opt for GEIL memory this time, and have installed two 512mb sticks giving me 1024mb of random access mem. Im running the mem with an AMD 64bit 3000 939Winchester processor and an ABIt AV8 mobo and have had no compatability issues. The hardware analysis software SISoft Sandra 2005 informs me that its currently running 1gb memory, which is acceptable. Ive run prime95 on it for 24hours including tests such as 2500 lucas Lehmer iterations and the mem is stable. It remains stable when moderatly overclocking... Read review

...brands like Kodak and so on but the Kingston ones seemed to be coming up a lot in my searches and I had heard of them before for USB drives and they seem to have a good name behind them. Their memory cards come in all sizes from 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and the one I have 512MB which is probably one of the smallest but it is fine for me for now. Most Kodak cameras will accept an SD card but there are other types as you will see when you go to print off your photos. On the side of my camera is a door and there is a slot for the camera where you just click in your SD card and then the memory mounts up instantly. I also know that my laptop is SD compatible and so I just slide the card into the slot at the side and then my photos load up without the hassle of a USB cable. I know most Dell laptops come with this slot and I have a Sony Vaio so I'm guessing... Read review

I got this free when i purchased a w800i and i found it very handy as the phone did not have a very large memory only 32mb, this is like space for only 5 songs or 30 picture files depending on the quality.
