Advantages: SMall and easy to take around with you and for storing game saves

...If you purchase the xbox arcade console then you will get one of these 512mb memory units free with the console. However if you opt to go for either the premium console or the elite console you will get the main hard drive for free and will have less need for these. These small memory units are both advantageous as they are small and compact and suitable for certain tings. However they are on the other hand quite pathetic compared to the 20gb or 120gb hard drives which are also available on the market. I currently own both a 20gb hard drive and one of these 512mb memory units as well. ...So the SanDisk SD flash memory card 512MB. Well as a start like most memory cards these days , its nice and small ( perfect for getting lost if your not careful). Despite its size its nice and long lasting ( well mines still alive anyway..or it was the last time i used it) you get a ncie handy case, you know incase you like accidently sit on it or something. So 512MB , its a pretty good amount of memory for camera use , but if you really do like to get out there and basicly film your entire life, you\'d probably be better off with more memory, i recomend the 1gb or 2gb sandisk memory card. So what a lovely shade of blue, hmm, yes its a bit boring compared to other memory cards, but what do you expect, half the time you cant see it anyway because its inside a device. ...Lexar JumpDrive Secure ll is a USB flash drive with a good 512mb storage capacity. It boasts plug-and play functionality, allowing you to pop it into any usb drive on a mac, pc or server and drag and drop files 'to and fro' as desired. (Ease of access depends on the o/s you have installed, i use both OSX10 and vista, both work great!) Now 512mb isn't exactly the king as storages spaces go (you can get upto 8gb now!!!) but its perfect if you only transfer the smaller files such as word docs, the odd song or two. If you are moving larges directories then this isn't for you and would recommend you look at the size of file/directory you have and purchase accordingly. Perfect for the school/college user and you can pick them up for around £5.00 give or take a penny or two, so it is hardly a wallet burner. Lexar is a well trusted... Read review

It has a volume function up and down and a lock button all on one side. On the other site there is selection keys next and previous and a menu button and a record button. and on the main screen there is a play pause button. When playing When you are playing a tune you got online you can see it on the display screen. ...I really wanted an MP3 player. At the time the mobile phone MP3 players were pointless due to lack of space, being bulky, and basically rubbish quality meant a portable MP3 player for any music listener was a must. Looking around, there's always going to be the cheap gadgets on the market. I try and stay away for them because, even if they do what it says on the box, the actual quality of the amp on them is usually very bad quality, and they usually have poor battery life, which means charging them for longer than you're actually listening to them. However, Philips have a good reputation, so when the Philips GoGear 512MB Player came on at a good price, I thought why not? And I haven't looked back. ...the ipod suffle 512mb is easy to use and operate. I have so far found it simple! It can hold up to 130 songs and also be used to transfer data which i have not tryed yet. It has two modes shuffle which randomly chosses songs for you to listen to! Great fun when you want a suprise. The other mode allows you to listen to the songs on the order that they were placed on to the device. The shuffle is great for those who likie a random playing of music. However may be tedious for those how always wish to listen to a certain song as you have to flick through your entire playlist until you locate the song as the shuffle has no screen! Another disadvantage is that the shuffle recharges when plugged into the usb port of your computer, so i you take it away with you and it runs out off power you eigther need to purchase a seperate... ...with USB 1.1 ports but it doesn't work with those in my keyboard. The transfer of data is as fast as any other flash drive I have used. The drive comes preloaded with security software to prevent unauthorised access to your data although this only seems to be compatible with Windows machines. Overall this a decent USB stick that works well and is a more attractive design than most. It feels very durable and well put together. 512MB isn't a huge amount of memory these days so I would recommend going for at least the 1GB model. Some people may prefer Victorinox's other USB Swiss Army Knives which have the usual knife and accessories in addition to the USB stick. However, for transporting data, especially on planes, this device may be the sensible option.... Read review

...I recently completed my first self build computer project. After having bought a pre-build last time I decided to do it myself this time as I have been inside my old one enough times to know what goes on. My last computer used unbranded memory, and I feel this caused compatability issues with components I installed. I decided to opt for GEIL memory this time, and have installed two 512mb sticks giving me 1024mb of random access mem. Im running the mem with an AMD 64bit 3000 939Winchester processor and an ABIt AV8 mobo and have had no compatability issues. The hardware analysis software SISoft Sandra 2005 informs me that its currently running 1gb memory, which is acceptable. Ive run prime95 on it for 24hours including tests such as 2500 lucas Lehmer iterations and the mem is stable. It remains stable when moderatly overclocking... Read review
