Is it on? I can hardly hear it!
Review of HP Deskjet 920c by
pesky33
Advantages: whisper quiet, easy to change ink
Disadvantages: quite slow, expensive ink
...the same number cartridges for both colours, which is easy for someone like me to get the correct one. I used to have to ask the woman in Office World for ‘the Epson cartridge with the sweets on the front’ as I could never remember their bizarre code. These ones take 78 or 15 – much more simple.
They’re a pricey cartridge though; the best price I could find for the black ink was £19.95 (25ml), or a compatible for £13.95 (42ml). The colour cartridges are available in two sizes; 19ml for £24.49, and 38ml for whopping £41. I did find remanufactured colour cartridges for about £15, but I don’t know whether I’d trust them.
I’m just thankful that in all the time it has been used (about a year in all, at more than 20 pages a week) only the black ink has ever needed changing, which is why I can’t be more specific about the maintenance.

HP Photosmart 7260 Inkjet Printer Review
Review of HP PhotoSmart 7260 by
Igloo_Vindaloo
Advantages: Small, Card Readers, Nice prints, Good Value
Disadvantages: Paper jams, Lack of borderless A4 printing, costly cartridges
...Summary: Fast, Quiet, Small, Fantastic print quality with card readers but prone to printer jams, flimsy and Expensive to Run. Recommended!
Having seen HP's DeskJet 5150 recommended, I thought I'd check out the opposition, and found the new Photosmart 7260 uses the same print cartridges as its popular big brother. So I figured, same running costs, same print quality. Not having tried a 5150, I can't test my theory, but I can say I'm delighted with the print quality both for text and photos. This is much better than my old Lexmark 7200, and colours are more vibrant than the Canon i450, which I also tried. And for the same price as the 5150, you get card readers, and a smaller package. So I bought it as a general-purpose printer.
On the downside the construction is a little flimsy, and the in-tray will only take 100 sheets of A4...

The HP 4215 for buisness and personal use
Review of HP OfficeJet 4215 by
jusbowers
Advantages: Covers all of the printing needs for a small office
Disadvantages: The print quality whilst very good is not as good as my dedicated laser printer!
...When my existing fax machine needed refilling I discovered that it was cheaper to replace the machine than to get a new printer roll.
I chose the HP Officejet 4215 because it performs all of the tasks I need in a small accountancy office whilst not taking up a lot of space on my desk it is also easy to source consumables for it as both original and remanufactured items.
I especially liked that the copy and fax facilities are stand alone as i dont always have my computer online and some clients like to fax me in the late evening when i am not in the office to manually receive them to the pc.
I run my own accountancy business and for several years have been using a separate equipment for copying, faxing, scanning and printing because I have found that on the whole a dedicated machine gives better quality results even though...

HP Office Paper - I know, I know, a boring topic
Review of HP Office Paper - plain paper - 500 sheet(s) by
thespurs
Advantages: Cheap, good enough quality
Disadvantages: None
.... The paper is therefore quite thin, but for economy paper it is actually very thick. The list price per ream is around £3.49, although if you buy four or more, the price comes down to around £3.00. This is a bargain, because most economy paper costs the same amount but you don't get the same gsm, this paper is much higher.
--Conclusion--
If you work in an office or from home, or you do a lot of printing in your household then I would certainly reccomend this. It works out at just over half a penny per sheet if you buy a single ream, so a little bit of wastage won't dent you pocket. On the same theme, if you print out your work and there are some spelling mistakes, presentation errors or the wording is incorrect then you won't have wasted your quality paper. You can always rely on Hewlett Packard products to be good and this paper just...

HP Photosmart 433
Review of HP PhotoSmart 433 by
Kingkarliii
Advantages: Lightweight, easy to use
Disadvantages: Sliding lens cover easily opens and runs your batteries down quick
...-timer,Action and Normal settings.
24. Flash button - Lets you select the right flash setting for the image you are taking.
***Compatibility & Software***
Compatable with windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and comes with its own software, but however if your like me and have a HP Desktop PC then the required drivers shall already be pre-installed (mind you the software takes ages to load and doesn't have the editing tools that I would have expected.)
***Price***
Ranges from £49.99 to £79.99 although I'm not sure as it was part of a package. I now believe that it has been superceeded. The combined package of camera and printer was £149.99 from either Curry's or Comet. (I always get the two muddle up, so it really came Curomet).
***Other information***
The batteries take around 15 hours to fully recharge if charged through the camera. It has a 90 day...

This Workhorse Serves Networks Well
Review of HP LaserJet 2200dn by
anonymili
Advantages: fast and reliable network printer
Disadvantages: quite costly for a small business or home use
...of it breaking down in case the remanufactured cartridges are faulty. We use the printer too much to risk it being out of action whilst waiting for it to be repaired.
An original cartridge - HP C4096A (96A) - for the HP Laserjet 2200dn will cost between £66.99 (from inkprices.com) to £85.00 depending on where you buy it from. You might have a special deal with your office stationers, which means you could get the toner much cheaper. The original toners give you an average of 5000 printed pages. You can also the toners directly from HP for around £65 (all prices I've quoted are including VAT).
The price for a HP compatible toner for this printer is about £32 from ukdvdr.co.uk with an average life of 5000 pages.
# CONCLUSION #
All in all I'd recommend this for office use with network needs. It's fast, it's reliable and not very noisy...

Does it shape up as a workhorse
Review of HP Deskjet 990cxi by
RobAnt
Advantages: It shapes up as a fairly good workhorse & an excellent every day printer
Disadvantages: Where`s my whip - faster, faster (its not slow, but we all want our printers faster, don`t we?)
...with Novell’s directory print service (NDPS), when connected to the servers parallel port.
This printer has bi-directional communications via the parallel, USB or infra-red ports, so, as is the norm with HP’s inkjet printers, it has a management system that is really at its best when directly connected to a Windows or Macintosh PC. Using the printer with a server is perfectly satisfactory, though, and I haven’t missed using the management software.
It takes two ink cartridges, one black and a tri-coloured. These can be quite expensive, but they do have a reasonable capacity when compared to some others. However, I’ve found that remanufactured cartridges are perfectly useable, and a lot cheaper and greener. (They let you send your cartridge back when it's empty - free).
Removing and replacing an ink cartridge will trigger a test print...
